• I only use water on my locs because of moisture and shrinkage. Shrinkage is KEY.. These this girl on tiktok that does microlocs videos and I'm pretty sure she has braid locs BUT her hair [especially the ends] are straight and stringy because she is ALWAYS doing something new with her hair like braid outs and Banta knots. You have to let your hair do its thing. • I'm 5 weeks into my microlocs journey and UA-cam keeps recommending your videos to me so i think it's time I subscribed 😌 Oh, and when it comes to the baby locs/ edges I braided most of the section, twisted the ends and interlocked the roots. They haven't moved 💕
Greetings and Welcome! It's great to have you here and congratulations to you on committing to your loc journey. I agree, I think stretching it may hold back It's potential. I only did braid outs for the first week and stopped after that. I quickly saw changes from shrinkage once I stopped. Update: My baby locs came loose AGAIN lol. I may braid the base and twist the rest like you did cause they want to be free 😂 Peace, love and blessings to you 💜💜💜
I think I know who you're talking about. I think she does retwists too which is even worse because that doesn't last more than like 2 weeks. She's always wearing wigs too. Her hair can't thrive if she keeps messing with it.
I am not sure who you are referring to unfortunately. But I do think that it helps to limit the styling. In my very short time I've noticed by hair swelling up and giving it more opportunity to compress into each other. I won't lie I think braid out are so cute and I can't wait till I can do them without stopping my progress 💜
Greetings and Welcome!!! I appreciate the love and support! Funny enough, I thought about not doing that intro but it fits my spirit 😂. I'ma go Check out your channel, I love to watch other people on their journey's, it's a beautiful thing. Congratulations yo you on starting your microlocs journey as well!!! How far in are you? Peace, Love and blessings to you! 💜 💜💜
Oh shucks!!! You are deep in your microloc journey, that's amazing! Question do you do your own reties? Would love to know if you think it gets easier over time. I subscribed to your channel too!
@@SocialSymone I did my retighten two times and I have vowed to have someone else take care of my locs. I only do the locs of others, as a Sisterlocks trainee.
Congrats Purple!!! 😆😆😆👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽💯👀Your hair is sooo beautiful, it looks so much fuller and it looks like it was cut in a bob so cool, love it!!!💯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️🙏🏽
Thank you for always supporting me and I appreciate it! It is giving bob now 😂 It will be kimda cool if it grows like a long bob, I think they are cute 💜💜💜
Omygosh yesss same. Theres 3 or 4 in the front that don't want to stay twisted they keep coming out. I also have a problem with merging, it just twists around each other at the root. I hate having to pop and pull them apart cuz it'll eventually make the roots week. Hopefully this is the last time I have to do tht
You feel my pain! They are so annoying. Lol. Hopefully as we get further in our journey the merging will stop. You are right about them getting weak overtime. I make sure to mist it before I pull them apart. Sometimes it's still merged after that lol. How long do you go befire you retie? I stretched this one out to 2 months this time but depending on how bad the merging is I might go back to 4 weeks.
“I’m not even at the ticks…”🤣🤣🤣 You got me cracking up this whole video! We are friends now! Love this type of content! I’ve been microlocd for 13 months now (started with braid locs and then switched to interlocs a few months ago. I look forward to watching your journey queen 🖤
I just caught that I even said that! I talk key points but I have no scriot as you can tell, I'm liable to say anything crazy 😂 New friends always welcome! I appreciate the support 💜 And you a OG in the game!!! 13 months seems lile such a long time and a blessing. How has your journey been so far? Hope to hear from you soon friend! Peace, love and blessings to you! 💜 💜💜
@@SocialSymone it’s been amazing!! My hair is flourishing. I have 290 ish locs. 3 point rotation (4 point in some spots) Idk how people self maintain over 350. I would lose my mind. If I ever go back to being loose natural it’ll only be to grow out my hair to start some more locs. I do wish that I would have been more patient and made my parts straighter. My grid is almost non existent lol but not nobody should be up in my head like that. Overall I’m very satisfied
I apologize i just seen I missed this comment. I try my best to reply. Its interesting that you do a 3 point rotation. I just switched from a 2 to a 3. Do you mind telling me why you went with a 3 mainly? The 2 point dont keep my reties as secure at the base in my opinion. I quickly noticed a difference when I went to the gym. I feel you on the parts, however, many people who dont really have defined parts have a very full look from what Ive seen. Im sure yours is beautiful too! 💜
@@SocialSymone you’re good girl…you don’t live on UA-cam and people have lives. I switched for the same reason you did. I have 3c/4a hair and the 2 or 3 point doesn’t secure my hair properly in some areas. I don’t see a difference in my loc size though. Maybe it’s too soon to tell 🤷🏾♀️
@@Mrs.Adrian You're right. I just be tryna show love to everyone who supports me. And See I knew it wasn't just me!!! I'm so glad you said that, I feel the freshness lasting longer already! I have a loose pattern in the front and when I sweat it just didn't feel as secure as I thought it should.Did you count your locs by chance? I know I have less now than when I started because unraveling and I combined some in the front.
New subscriber here! Love your video! Thank you for the tips, I’m going to try washing my hair and taking it down while it’s wet. I hate how straight my ends look after I wash it 😩
Greetings and Welcome! I appreciate the love and support. I take my hair down whrn it's about 80 percent dried and separate at the roots. How many months in are you?
@@SocialSymone No problem at all! I tried it and I actually like the way it looks better than when I let it dry completely while braided. It made 2 months on Nov 17th!
your intro will be living in my mind rent free now
