Thank you Auntie Coo Coo. Last week I was fortunate enough to find a couple of bottles of 91% alcohol at Dollar General. I was just happy, happy, happy! God's Blessings
I like your spray bottle idea: keeping straight rubbing alcohol in your purse and spraying your hands. Our stores are always sold out of rubbing alcohol, too... unfortunately. I have been using it for years with old cut up towels to make my own cleaning wipes.
I did not have the gel so I used an aloe Vera lotion with the same ratios . It’s not very gelly but it works and will do as a substitute until the commercial stuff becomes a available . Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much. I bought some alcohol this morning for my co-workers. They work in property maintenance and they constantly have to go into tenants units without any protection. I made some as soon as I saw your video and passed it on to them. Thank you!
Great idea and very informative! I worked in a nursing home and you could always tell when the nurses were cleaning the nurses station. They used rubbing alcohol and I ended up really liking the smell of it. Didn't know the recipe so thank you kindly Val. Have a wonderful evening. 💕💕
I made mine with 1 part Aloe Vera gel and 2 parts 91% alcohol. I divided that between 3 bottles just like you showed. Then I added about 15 drops essential oil to each bottle. I like it better than any store bought hand sanitizer I’ve ever used. I clean with alcohol, too. Every night before I go to bed, I clean all the door and cabinet knobs and pulls, faucets, toilet handle, appliance handles and knobs, etc. Every time I get in my car, I clean the door handles, steering wheel, dash board, and console.
Thanks! Love the option to add some hair gel that's not great for its intended use - got a bottle at dollar store that doesn't work well in my hair & now I know how to best use it. :) Stay safe everyone.
I found 70 percent alcohol today and was blessed to find aloe gel which being summer Walmart now have it !! I found mine at the Dollar General asp use alcohol to use as a disinfectant spray

I was just able to buy 1 gallon of hand sanatizer with a strength of 80% alcholol from Amazon and it took a week to deliver, I am in Connecticut. It was 50 bucks before the tax so its no cheap but a gallon. Also its in liguid form not gel so buy Aloe Vera gel and mix them like in the Video. Anything over 60% alcholol is CDC advise right now.
I've used Rubbing alcohol for cleaner for many years and spray it on straight. Really great for glass mirrors and windows. But now can't get it. Funny the other day Walmart had a whole 4 foot high pallet of the aloe vera gel but what good is that with no alochol.. TFS
I made the same diy cleaner with alcohol and I added essential oils. My first time making it with alcohol, I must say I really like it. Thanks for sharing.
I have been using alcohol for cleaning for many years too...I use it full strength in a spray bottle to clean my windows and mirrors too....works great and I even like the smell....thanks for your tips....stay well
I hate to be that guy but if you are mixing 70% alcohol 2/3 to 1/3 gel you are not getting the minimum 60% alcohol. You are getting closer to 46%. You would need to mix it over 85% alcohol to 15% gel to get over 60% alcohol in the final product. if you are starting out with 70% just put it directly into a spray bottle and use it that way. yeah, it dries the skin but hey it's better than getting sick.
Hi. Thanks for sharing . Just remember 2 parts of 100 % alcohol to 1 part Aloe will give you a 66.6 % alcohol mixture. Using 70 % alcohol diminishes it's germ killing effectiveness to 47% overall alcohol content. So if you don't mind real runny solution use much less Aloe.

I’ve used fresh aloe Vera and 70 % subbing alcohol and amonia 1/3 cup and used a dollar tree gel and it’s smell good and my hands aren’t dry by parents love it and I think the main ingredient was the organic aloe Vera

I keep a small spray bottle filled with Listerine . If I have to go out, it is going with me. Not sure there are enough wipes for buggy wipe down. I want to be prepared. Had my Mom bedfast for eight years and never had a bed sore. I sprayed her washcloth with a little Listerine and washed her back, feet, and legs.
Nope, Mom was mainly on her back and refused to be put to her side. I used absolutely no lotion on her back area. Light amount of Listerine. Great to spray on your feet and lightly inside your shoes. Notice how long she was bedfast. It works. Just slight amount daily.
I had a couple of bottles of EVERCLEAR from the liquor store. It is 95% and makes a great hand sanitizer. I added a few drops of Vitamin E oil, Tea Tree oil and Lavender oil, (I love the fragance, to the alcohol and alie vera mixture.
I saw your description, I can’t find higher than 70% anywhere and I mean I went even Hospitals, pharmacy, supermarket literally everywhere that would sell alcohol, doesn’t have higher than 70% in Singapore. The only way to get your hands on them here is buying them online and had it ship to you from overseas, I don’t know why they don’t have pure alcohol here
Hi you can buy on Amazon. However I think that it expires quickly after mixing. Meaning that it may have to be used within a period of time as this is used to thicken food products.
The reason it’s so thin is because there’s so little alcohol. You used 70 percent and diluted it 33 percent. That sanitizer is less than 60 percent alcohol which means it’s not effective.
As you may know, check your liqour stoe for Everclear or similar. You can get 151 proof (75% pure) or better 190 proof (90% pure). I purchased 750ml of 190 proof for about $40. Mixed 2 to 1 (66% alcohol) or better 3 parts alcohol to 1 part aloe vera provides optimal 72% alcohol sanitizer.
this only 46% alcohol you need 6 parts alcohol to one part gel to get to 60% alcohol with the 70% alcohol. with 90% alcohol use 7 part alcohol to 2 parts gel to get a 70% alcohol solution

Rubbing alcohol went off the shell the same time as sanitizer. Everyone of the video calls for rubbing alcohol, which is impossible to get. Peroxide spray might be the only DIY alternative.

You used 70%, one part to one part for the spray. I have a bottle of 50% alcohol. How would I dilute it? I’ve used straight alcohol for cleaning, and I use peroxide, too.
Your 50% Isopropyl bottle is not going to work. Even 70% Iso won't be enough once diluted. The CDC and WHO say that in order to inactivate COVID19 you must have at least 70% Isopropyl Alchohol or at least 60% Ethanol of the total volume. Therefore, you need to use 91% Isopropyl at 77% of total volume, or you can hit up the liquor store and buy grain alcohol (aka Ethanol) [Everclear for example], which comes in either 151 proof (75.5% Alcohol) or 190 proof (95%) [PROOF/2=Alcohol %]. For the 151 proof, use at least 80% of the total mix, for 190 proof use 63% or higher. The remaining percentage you can use aloe, vegetable glycerin (small amount, very oily), propylene glycol, essential oils, small amount of Vitamin E liquid, etc. You don't need to add any water to the mix. The rest of what is in the bottles of alcohol you buy is denatured/distilled water anyways, unless you are buying 99% pure industrial-grade alcohol. Hope that helps! PS - Hydrogen Peroxide in very small amounts would be ok to add in with the remaining percentage, not to take place of the alcohol. Peroxide would not have any effect on killing viruses nor help the alcohol's job, but rather to neutralize any organic impurities in your add-ins.
Thanks went to Walmart yesterday found a bottle of alcohol yes. Found the Aloe at Dollar tree yes. Just keep looking hope you All find the items soon.🌸

Is there a substitute to aloe vera gel? My skin is allergic to aloe vera. Thanks
I did give a few substitutions in the video including hair gel!
Many thanks
If have 70 percent rubbing alcohol what is the percentage of bring it down too with this aloe vera gel
Yes I stated that, unfortunately that's all I had on hand. It still hasn't returned to stores here.
@@AuntieCooCoo that's all I have too so cant use 70 percent running alcohol to meet CDC guidelines?
All the stores in my area are sold out but I do have a little of both ingredients on hand. Thank you for sharing the recipe.
Same here Darlene. I wish I had 91% alcohol, that is the only way to get the recommended amount per CDC.
Just so you know, 70% or less is useless for sanitize. Check your farmers co-op for 99% alcohol.
Great tip, I said you need the 91% but I couldn't find any in my area. I will check that out thanks!
Rubbing alcohol went off the shell the same time as sanitizer. Everyone of the video calls for rubbing alcohol, which is impossible to get. Peroxide spray might be the only DIY alternative.
I was hoping a few may have alcohol in first aid kits or medicine cabinets. I do believe it will be back on shelves and many stores are now limiting amounts so everyone can have some which I think is great!
Thank you so much for this. I’m going to make this I have the products to make it already. ❤️🥰🙏🏻
Thank you for sharing the information. Be safe and have a blessed day my friend
That hand sanitizer is not 60% alcohol in the final solution!!! It will not work effectively. This video makes people sick from covid19 Her stupidity hurts people.
Can’t get rubbing alcohol its sold out
I’m in washington and believe me everything is wiped out even everclear its crazy
I have I think 91 % is that still ok to use
91% is the best to use..its suppose to he over 60% to be effective
YES that is the BEST! I didn't have any but that is the only way to get your sanitizer to 60% hugs!

Thanks hun ....
Auntie Coo Coo
Ok that’s all I have the 91% so I’m gunna do some :)
Thank you! I’m sharing with my family.
Using 70% -- use 9 parts alcohol 70% .. 1 part 100% aloe vera
to be so clear to make hand sanitizer. :rubbing alcohol, knox gelatin powder, hot boiling wax. you put all the gelatin powder. to dissolve you had to have hot boiling water to make the changes get their.ity when the gelatin starts at stiff consrnity .you are he gelation but put the hand sanitizer bowl frisky j the refrigerato to make the soul in stiff and firm
Go to liquor store buy 190 proof grain alcohol it’s 95% alcohol works just as good I had to do this
You used 70%, one part to one part for the spray.
Alcohol can’t be found, but I have been told vodka works
I have heard that too. Everclear is also a good one.
I use lotion with alcohol
Thanks went to Walmart yesterday found a bottle of alcohol yes. Found the Aloe at Dollar tree yes. Just keep looking hope you All find the items soon.🌸
Might want to correct the statement that one part to one part is stronger than two to one
Thank you for this video. It is very good to see these kinds of videos during a time like this. Which I hope we never see the likes of again.
I hope so too!
i concentrate that 50% alcholol with salt and removed the water
