Just a portent of what's to come: I ended up using Wild Mutation on only one mission of Heart of the Swarm and made an effort to change my Kerrigan build (I try every single one at least once) and some unit mutations for every mission. In Legacy of the Void, I used every possible unit variation on at least one mission. Just starting to record the Epilogue and Covert Ops soon. Anyway, hopefully the diversity of strategies and getting nearly every normal achievement - and many Mastery achievements - on Brutal keeps this series interesting.
Tychus’s death scene is so fucking cool. Love the character. I went in pretty oblivious and the ending cinematic had me shook! Can’t wait for the rest of the series.

Well, you rock Mr Jay. Using your key advice of "keep sending SCVs out and building more!" I was able to best Brutal All In on only my second attempt with very little trouble (but a whole lot of sweatin'). Those upgrades were critical, too! Good advice on building multiple armories. Once you get your initial base set up and really sink into the rhythm of the mission, it's actually got a very nice flow to it and before long you've got so much money that you can replace whatever is destroyed by each attack. Granted, I used the Artifact way more than once, but I love the artifact.... it's like they made a whole mission out of that StarCraft 1 cinematic on the Amerigo... blow it blow it! Anyway, thank you for helping me achieve this. Can't wait to start Heart of the Swarm with you.
First time I played this back in 2010, the Char missions were scary. They really sell the danger of taking the fight TO the Zerg. Char looks like a literal Hell.
I really like the way you structured this playthrough. Enjoying how you played with the missions to make them seem more cohesive to the plot, especially the crystal missions. Obv four years late lol but ready to watch HoTS and LoTV next!

Dude, how the hell did you do that!? All In's Nydus map was always constant chaos in every playthrough I saw, and yet here you are on the objectively harder version actually keeping it together. They only broke through your lines right at the very end, which wouldn't have mattered even if the artifact hadn't hit 100% because you'd already taken down Kerrigan and could've just thrown the merc death blob at them. Next-level stuff right here.

This mission is impossible on brutal due to the queen of blades not only have a powerful Zerg army but also can destroy armies of vehicles and aircraft within a blink of an eye.

Whoof. I'm a little scared of this mission. I totally crushed the last two missions, but this one... I just hope it doesn't give me the same trouble as Utter Darkness. The Protoss always required a little too much Micro for me to do as good at. I like your strategy here and am going to try and emulate it.
A good run. I came for the 3rd mission of the game, still haven't gotten back into the game. Just don't have the mental dexterity for it. Funny note, as I was reading the credits at 2x speed, they gave a special thanks to YOUR MOM hahaha
Since HotS campaign is pretty easy, even on Brutal due to Kerrigan, what do you think about 1. Complete the campaign without using Kerrigan unless it's required. Or 2. Complete the campaign without Kerrigan dying.
I've already created the videos. And while some of these videos are not strategies every person may be able to use, it is still, at it's heart, a walkthrough.
While I did not use mass Dark Archons (I rarely mass any single unit), I did use them to pretty good effect for two missions of LotV - one being Salvation - so hopefully that will be satisfying. I actually made an effort to use every single type of unit variation at some point. This ended up being a lot harder than I anticipated mostly because when you try to do that it really highlights that LotV has fewer missions overall to do so.
Does kerigan's immortal shield like ability protect her from snipe/psionic lash ? Because it sounds like ghosts/spectres could potentialy be very strong counter here otherwise. But I assume if does if it stops Yamatos as well.
With the air force. At leasr tou can see them coming in and even then at least you'll be able to handle em since you got tons of anti air anyway. Nydis worm version is frustrating since they can pop up ANYWHERE INSIDE YOUR BASE and pour out stuff.

Plus, they do less damage to air units, which is the one thing you can't afford to ignore in this version of All In, and they have less range than the Vikings, which means more of them will die. Plus, Vikings have more health. No matter which way you look at it, Vikings are strictly better on this map than Wraiths

Vikings have 2 attacks that both deal 10 damage, plus a +4 damage boost against armored targets, which is what the Leviathan is. This gives Vikings 28 damage per attack. Comparatively, Wraiths only do 5 damage per attack, plus a +5 against armored targets, plus they attack twice, giving them a total of 20 damage. While 8 damage doesn't sound like a lot, if you consider how Vikings have more range than Wraiths, they are more useful on this map than Wraiths while Wraiths are only sed on maps where you either haven't unlocked the Viking yet or if you're in a hurry
Lol... Because air attacks are as frequent but you don't have to leave your base to hunt them down and aren't as spread so far apart like the worms are...
No tricks, no gimmicks. Just steel, napalm, and grit. And a 20 foot tall alien artifact, but we barely used that at all!

Char is super inhospitable and the air is a deadly laser, but sure some naked lady could survive.
Not gonna lie, a mode where the artifact had 0 cooldown, but each activation slows the charging progress would be kinda interesting

Plot Twist. Tychus is really alive. Raynor just shot his suits transmitter
Since Kerrigan is a light unit, I use a lot of Devil dogs, and since the Medics are the A.I's first priority, the Devil dogs are relatively safe.
You nailed that mission.
I do love the story and the cutscenes.
I really hope you do a ground version sometime. That one is hell with all the micro you need to do.
Took me hours of restarting and failing over and over to get this mission on brutal with the nydus network without using the artifact.

I haven't tried, though I assume it's all sources of damage.
IIRC, Kerrigan has another ability that reduces spell damage (E.g. Yamato, Snipe) she takes by 50%. So they can work, you just need a lot of them.

In addition to what was mentioned, for vikings i think you can buy them an upgrade so they can do area damage to air
