All base? ALL??? Realy!! I went through the fifth attempt of this mission without leaving the base! But you were able to destroy all the bases of zerg! You are the best!!!!! Do not stop! Add new videos with the destruction of all the bases!
Plot twist: they didn't need the Keystone all along, they don't use it, Amon does not get resurrected. Fin. I'll be honest - I'm surprised you can even do this. In all other defend missions in the three Starcraft II campaigns, the enemy base is outside of the map (preventing you from even approaching them) *unless* there's an achievement for destroying most, if not the entirety, of the enemy base. But in this mission, Kerrigan's base is completely visible even though you get nothing from trying to destroy her base. Also, never considered the possibility of using Command Centers for the wall, instead of Bunkers and Perdition Turrets.
Perdition turrets are better on the air version of All In because they can handle the smaller amount of ground units. But yeah, Planetaries are beastly on the defense, there's not much Kerrigan can do against them if they're repaired responsibly.
Zero hour and the dig are defense missions where you can clear the bases. Same with evacuation, if you count that. In fact the only defense mission with a base outside the map is in utter darkness (in this campaign anyway)
thank god for planetaries. during my brutal run they still cracked constantly, even with 6-8 scvs on them. probably has more to do with i lost my banshees at about 85%, so the last 3 waves of nydus worms got free reign unless they spawned within the artifacts radius. i beat it... but if it needed 10 more seconds i would have lost
This is cool! My base on Brutal had bunkers with planetary fortresses behind them. There were about 20 tanks on top of the artifact with 4 planetary fortresses blocking the artifact. I had 15-18 banshees flying over nydus worms.
Very nice job, didn't think of using Banshees. My brutal mapclear method used Spectres and nukes, could destroy 5/6 Hives, the last (easternmost) was a challenge.
how the... i got waxed on this level. i eventually beat it, but only by the skin of my teeth (if i had to hold even another 10 seconds, i would have failed). this is something i might expect to see during a casual run of the game, not on brutal
The first time I was able to pass this mission on brutal was with the stimpacked marines strategy ! And using the nova to clear right before engaging Kerrigan. Yeah she killed a bunch of them with her psi storm. Never thought about going for the bases tho ! I assumed that they were better left alone.
me too, and the use of waypoints to allow me to concentrate on other attacks...the lava lake in the middle of the map is a usefull rally point, for new banshees and recovery of battle damaged air armadas
nah, this wasn't hard. this was brutal. i can blow through this level on hard with no real issues. i got the achievement for only using the artifact once with no real issues, though i did need the one pulse. brutal i barely squeaked through. if the game had asked me to hold for 10 seconds past what it required, i probably would have had to reload a prior checkpoint, because i didn't have anything left in the tank
The planetary fortresses are OP here, and he wedged his siege tanks behind them. If you try and build a "realistic" base like the campaign suggests and (building bunkers and choke points), you just get overwhelmed way faster. Nah...you gotta have 8 command centers with planetary guns and tanks stuffed between them😆
Hello there, I been playing a lot of Starcraft and I was curious how can you put a lot of units in control groups and move the other half to work in the opposite direction for brutal difficulty? Like how do you select workers with a hot key while they do minerals?
there's a trick- she will cast it on the first available target, and magically gets high ground vision. If you notice, she casts it on the planetary fortresses above, THEN he comes 'round with his marines.
in pvp that accurate. in the campaign though, there is an armory upgrade that makes all command centers orbital commands. there is a research you can pick up to get planetary fortresses. you can turn the commands into fortresses, but you cannot go the other way.
the only way to get kerrigan is with marines. she one shots battlecruisers and tanks. kinda lame. plus double damage to buildings and she gets reduced like 90% reduced damage from big units for some reason
Nightom Chan I was curious what made Tychus betray James Raynor at the end agreeing to help Kerrigan then wanted to change a deal with Raynor ‘Kerrigan dies he goes free’ he believed that if he took her down they would be safe for sure wouldn’t they?
It is better if you play the whole Wings of Liberty campaign. (Spoil) Tychus was James Raynor’s old friend in crime. But he got arrested and he never sold Raynor’s location to the Dominion. A very good pal. Several years later, Tychus was still in prison (SC2 WoL opening scene) and Mengsk agreed to free him if he infiltrates Raynor’s troop and get to kill Kerrigan. Plus he was wearing a battlesuit that only Mengsk can open or making it kill Tychus in case he tries to doublecross him. « I made a deal with Devil Jimmy ». Then again, they are a lot of reasons behind Raynor’s choice to save Kerrigan. Everything is explained during the campaign.
you think he cant? worms are harder, i did it on air on brutal with 1 trie, took me 3 on worms, not everbody is a noob bro. btw why do you look like a pedophile??
There are secret protoss levels in the lab too. They unlock after you get tanks. If you beat them you end up going over maximum research, and you get extra armory upgrades instead
I would assume perhaps a little bit, since it should stop the purple zerg. The oranges will still keep coming via nydus though, and of course Kerrigan.
You used the energy nova already twice before 5 minutes... it takes over 3 minutes to recharge, on hard... ??? Anyhow, this strategy doesn't seem to work, unless you spam nova, which negates an achievement.
i'll only speak for myself, but on brutal, i don't attempt achievements, outside of "beat the level". i more or less used the artifact anytime it came off cooldown in my run. and i barely edged out that win. compared to me pretty handedly getting the achievement on hard.
@@edschramm6757 I've been re-playing the hard one for days... somehow I just can't crack it, with the tech upgrades that I picked. Every single time that I see someone beating this level on hard+, it is with heavy use of techs that I didn't pick.
@@007mercucio some research is replaceable, though a few pieces are harder to replace. For instance, tech reactors can be emulated by building a second copy of whatever structure is in question, if you put a tech lab on both. The only research I think is unreplaceable is the Planetary Fortress. They make absurdly durable walls. Cellular Reactor is important if you use a lot of energy based units On the other hand, if you are referring to armory upgrades, my advice is this : focus in on the specific units you know you will use consistently. This can change based on your playstyle. For me that's marines, medics, ghosts, bunkers, siege tanks, banshees, battlecruisers, scvs, command centers. Also helps to plot out what your gonna match up with in All In from the start. I remove the air units, so I go banshees. But if I were to take air, I'd probably replace banshees with vikings, and maybe I'd add missile turrets if I had the credits.

AI Brutal has left the game.
Dude that was incredible!!!! I've been playing this game for yrs and it shows how much of a beginner ib am with this sorta playing and strategy
that was ...brutal
normally I defend the base with sieged tanks...but the use of multiple upgraded command centres is...novel

im trying to do this on brutal w/o using the artiact. my best was at 90%ish but after that i get overwhelmed
That's cause this is old brutal and you are doing it on new brutal. Note the 2 bunkers that aren't there now.
Mass tanks, mass banshees, a lot of static defenses, use the special anti-zerg building, and lastly, mass ghosts/specters for sniping kerrigan.
Salut
