You can see she and Dale Jr are joined together beyond just being siblings. They were one another's safety net and still are today. Can't imagine what it was like a couple weeks ago with the team's plane crash and the early moments of not knowing what was going on. She's a strong and smart woman, and NASCAR would do well to have more like her around.

What a shame the wicked stepmother ruined DEI. Had she sold the 51% controlling interest to Jr she’d be rolling in money still today. Dale Earnhardt has to be shaking his head at what transpired.

Let's get real here, Danica was a washout, a total wasted effort because she never had the talent, just a ton of attitude. She set the sport back for women for some time to come.

I believe if Nascar is to survive and grow they have to have females succeed or Nascar is going to shrink back to a small regional sport like it was in the 60s and 70s if it's not carful.

Excellent, as usual. One can learn so much of the back stories. And, just found out I share a birthday with Kelley, although a few years earlier than her. What if she could have continued racing? And mentioning Dale Jr. stats in Late Model (3 of 159), I would love to know how well Kelley did. And, having been a long time fan of the 43 (since 1970), and also having used a lot of STP products in my vehicles and drinking of LOT of Mello Yello back in the day, I still wonder how Petty Enterprises would have turned out if Adam were still here.

Such a great interview. Believe it when they tell you Kelley was (and probably still is) a very good driver. I've been convinced in my own mind that if she had run Xfinity (it was still the Busch series in the 90's) in the mid to late 90's for a few years she'd have won races and MAYBE, just maybe she'd have come up to Cup. Now we'll never know. I LOVED Dale Sr. and am a huge Junior fan and miss him on the Cup circuit. R.I.P. Dale Sr.

She always seems to have her Fathers Gusto, no matter how many years go by. It Makes me wonder what it would've been like if she had started Racing. She certainly would've made a better female Icon for NASCAR than Danica Bloody Patrick.

Kyle I don’t know if you’ll ever see this, and I’m now just coming upon it by watching Dale Jr download, but this was a great interview. I’m going to watch more now. Kelly is so genuine about all she talks about. “Girls are supposed to have pretty legs” was a good moment! Wish NASCAR could get back to the old days. The new stuff isn’t as exciting. I’m all for the safety stuff, as I’m sure you are, but we need to bring back Rockingham, and other old tracks. Racing the streets of Chicago ain’t NASCAR!
