Thank you so much for this video. Most people don't understand herd dynamics, much less that there even is such a thing even when there is no stallion among them and that it is vital to the mental health and well being of all its members. I sure understand the smoke awfulness. I used to live in Southern Oregon where every year the smoke from California fires would inundate us. Made me feel quite sick and it is certainly unhealthy to breathe. Most of that time I stayed inside. Very touched by Pete's increasing trust. Sometimes it just takes years. Many years ago I rescued a neglected and mishandled African Grey parrot who was scared of his own shadow. It took 5 years for him to come out of his trauma and learn to play and seek for head scratches. Made me cry when he turned the corner. (He later died of the results of an injury he had sustained before I got him, despite ongoing care.). Keep up the good work. You are working miracles over there. These are very lucky horses.
Horses are gifts from heaven and to those unfortunate ones that are thrown away, discarded for slaughter or starved should find someone as caring as Clever. You have sculptured stars within their scars ... God bless your talent. Pete ... ❤
I was kind of getting a kick out of the dramatic music in the beginning, watching the horses run free. Enjoying the excitement manifest between Pete and yourself along with the music became the full stop on the entire video. You truly are an amazing trainer and I think hero to so many of these horses that you allow to develop on their own and in their own time. Quite the challenge. You are obviously up to that challenge. It pays off with a herd learning there are actually humans who choose to love them and can be trustWORTHY. "Just one person trying to make a difference in the world one horse at a time!" No Doubt.
it’s amazing how reading body language on those guys ..learning once (and extensive horses period) ..that sense/ knowledge doesn’t go away. I love this channel and watching these guys! I also saw a 6 yr old grullo mustang BLM mare on their site that made me think of you.. she was 14.5 hands and hadn’t gone at a couple of other auctions so she was a free after a year or whatever the deal is. very pretty long black mane, well built too.. They are all such gorgeous boys! Yay, breakthrough for Gus!
And Pete.
They missed you ,🤗..so sweet and how nice to see Pete showing that maybe he missed you too..?🙃your kindness is paying off C.C…
I missed the actual premiere, caught the last couple minutes…but I am watching it now. I would say the horses absolutely missed you! They love routine and they know when you are gone..hubby is great, but he isn’t YOU!
Thank you so much for this video. Most people don't understand herd dynamics, much less that there even is such a thing even when there is no stallion among them and that it is vital to the mental health and well being of all its members. You explained it in easy to understand terms and let us watch it in action first hand. This also illustrates to us that YOU know what's going on, that you know what you're doing, and you do it t very well. So thank you again for taking us along. Your channel can make us all better horse people and human beings.
Thanks for a wonderful glimpse into your life with the horses....I had a horse when I was young and miss him very much.
Beautiful, precious moments with Pete ❤
CC the way Pete opened up to you brought tears into my eyes. You prove that it’s never too late for good horse handling. It might be a mix of your previous training, your interactions with the other horses, or the change in the herd composition, but something showed him he can trust you for a moment. Thanks!
Majestic is the word for these animals 👊😍
You, C.C., have a wonderfully funny personality, which makes us laugh as you explain these boys to us! 🙋♀️❣️
Thank You for sharing your care and knowledge of these wonderful/ beautiful animals. Love your videos!!!
Aw Pete ❤
SOOOO BEAUTIFUL. Necks arched; tails waving…..
And some great music too!!
Yes, they looked gorgeous! ❤❤❤
Loved the music
it’s amazing how reading body language on those guys ..learning once (and extensive horses period) ..that sense/ knowledge doesn’t go away. (can’t remember where I wrote her number!))
as if you need that! 💚
A wonderful moment with Pete❤.loved seeing the horses interacting , running free and forming their new herd.
