Ford F350 : New Front Brakes : Part 2

  • It's part 2 and we're finishing up the new front brakes on the F350. We need to pop the new brake caliper in place and torque it down. Then we swap over the brake line from the old caliper to the new one. This part contains torque specs for the brake caliper slide bolts, as well as torque specs for the brake line banjo bolt.
    Vehicle: 2006 Ford F350 Super Duty Lariat Crew Cab 6.0 Diesel SRW 4WD

    new brake pads and rotors look so fresh and nice, im in trade school rn for automotive... im 2 months in, i just wish I had a car to be able to get a job over in NJ because over in NYC they aren't hiring a soul!!

    I would not chance crushing the brake like with a clamp on a Ford F-series Super Duty. I have dealt with and replaced the front brake line which caused the caliper to hang up and drag.

      @@xtv007 appreciate the advice! It seems to have done just fine, but also I didn’t crank it down like crazy, just enough to close the hose. But, I’ll have to try some different techniques next time :)
