The video, the photos, all sooo good. As someone who goes to Outer Banks frequently, I think you did a killer job at capture the feel of that place. Good job, man. Instantly followed. 🤙🏼
I really appreciate it! There are a bunch of photos that I'm pretty "meh" about, but I just wanted to throw it all out there and be real and show that I'm just another guy who also takes some lackluster photos from time to time. I live in Virginia Beach, so I'm not far at all and can't wait to go back -- some time before the end of the summer!
Thanks! I think it's an important message. There are definitely days when I go out and feel totally uninspired by what I shot, and then end up seeing the photos later on and feeling happy that I did -- goes to show that it's that I even tried that matters, and that it could turn out for the best in the end.
Brother, this was a masterpiece of storytelling. Not a single dull moment in the video. and that voice of yours is that cherry on top. beautiful shots and amazing intro! 10/10!!!!
Delightful film. The opening sequence is SO GOOD! I always look forward to your videos, especially nowadays when my feed is so full of cycling videos, or work related content. The vibes of your storytelling, the compositions you make for photo AND video, and your earnestness is everything--it always gets me wanting to go out, shoot more for myself, and have a good time (as opposed to taking everything so damn serious, or looking at everything in regards to it's "value"). It also reminds me of why I freaking love UA-cam. Keep getting it, dude, looking forward to the next.
Ahh, that means so much man. I always aim to keep it real. Forget the bangers -- just take photos and enjoy doing it. :) And funny enough, the intro sequence was completely different and had a different vibe and it wasn't until I heard that song pretty late in the edit that I decided to rework it entirely lol.
Great VIDEO, i shoot with an M6 along with my HASSY 501cm, i live in NYC but the OUTER BANKS is one place i want to go for a week to shoot and just CHILL! Thank you for this video.
Such a captivating video. I must say that the scanning on your film is pretty much perfect. It's been a while since I've seen film look this good. I still don't know why you have so few subscribers but I'm sure that'll change soon. Love you videos. Now if only I could get my X100V shots to look like your M6 shots. I'd be a happy man (I am actually happy, just want that look in my photos)
I really appreciate that! And hey, it's a slow build, but I'm just enjoying the ride haha. My X100V hasn't been getting much action lately, but every time I pick it up, I'm reminded of why I love it so much. I'd say keep trying out different recipes and tweaking them to see what works best!
@@Christopher_Ray thanks bud. I’ve been slowly tweaking one which is very close to film. I’m proud of it because I did it all myself rather than starting with another recipe. Having a fixed white balance helps it look more like film I think.

Great film! I loved that you talked about facing defeat and being in the moment.

@@Christopher_Ray completely agree! I had a very similar experience this past weekend.
Great video Christopher! I found your channel entirely by happenstance through our mutuals. Really dig your story telling.
Luis, I appreciate that! I'm curious who our mutuals are! I checked out your channel as well -- instant sub, man. Stoked to meet.

Absolutely stunning photos and video. That intro had me feeling like I’m watching a movie! That voice too 🔥🔥🔥
Haha thanks dude! I swear, my true calling is not in film or photography -- it's in voiceover/radio work, apparently lol.
