Love this - I'm also an "accidental" data analyst with a raft of side hustles, currently enjoying (or enduring) the corporate BS and looking for the most profitable way out....! awesome vid btw!
Stefan is one of the few UA-camrs that is still authentic ❤
Appreciate that Ali!
Those AI short edits were funny AF 😂 Great video again!
Glad you noticed haha!
First video of your's that I watched. Subscribed. I quit my corporate job at a top 10 tech company, 6 figure salary + bonuses. 12 years of overtime. The burnout is real. I'll be watching more of your videos.
One of your best videos yrt, Stefan. Your description of corporate life is so accurate, but you excellent style of storytelling makes it all the more realistic. Listening to you is a powerful wake up call for the corporate drone.
Corporate environment is like a functional mental institution except the white straight jackets are replaced with suits 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
It still seems to be, that it's impossible to start a proper Freelance career without spending 2-3 years in a corporate environment. Especially when you are a beginner... Stefan, your channel is a gem, it makes me inspired of this job. Keep it up!
It definitely helps
It is a great barrier to protect the value of being exactly what you called a PROPER freelancer. Otherwise there would be only amateurs or self-claimed pro's with 3 months of XP. Very fair for those proper freelancers who did their 3 years and eat the fresher fruits higher up in the tree.
Its for the best. Theoretically understanding, and thinking you can do something, is much different than actually developing the skill and experience. Trust me you’ll be forgiven for your mistakes as an employee, in a way that you’re not as a freelancer.
Loved this video because you spoke about how important it is to be an authentic person and to live your truth.. A career is so much more than making a pay check. ❤❤❤
You're so inspirational to me, especially because I feel the same way about many of the things you say so I get the feeling that the way you've evolved is completely attainable
being authentic is something I follow, you just gain a subscriber for the lifeitme
This week as a finance data analyst has been brutal for me and now the algorithm brings me to your video. I totally get what you're saying as I felt the same toxicity - hijacked meetings, zero commitment from people I am working with especially when it cames to data (technicality stuff), and the whole "perfect for the boss" act.
I wish I could have some freelance freedom, but in my case I need work visa sponsorship to stay and work in this country... feels like I'm chained to the desk.
Usually I don't comment on videos, but this time I really felt like doing so. Really liked your video! And it was the first time on the channel. I felt I've been to so many similar situations as you and felt the same. This corporate life behavior is everywhere and mostly the same. Glad you had de courage and skill to move on and try what you truly wanted
I follow your example this year and the harmony & peace in my life is on another level. Thank you for sharing your story and experience, your honesty is visible and well appreciated. Please keep doing what you do, it’s inspiring.
Nikolas from Greece 🇬🇷
Thanks Nikolas. Glad to hear you find inspiration in my videos!
You put so much effort into these videos, your jokes and edits are hilarious! 😂 I don't know how you come up with all that but keep it up, my friend!
Agreed. Especially in the last few years the office environment in US has become quite difficult.
Ti si Bog! Veliki pozdrav i samo udri 💪❤️
Awesome video man, we can tell evertyhing was genuine!! Keep doing your thang
Love your content. 100% relates to what I need to do. Thanks looking forward to learning more from you. Signed up for your free skool group. Hopefully I get the membership 🙏🏾
Imagine a guy who is just wanna go through same as your footsteps, i feel very enthusiastic with data analytics. I don't sure the ending but I'm on the truck now.
Thanks for your inspiration
The problem isn't work itself, it's the necessity of work
You are the most authentic youtuber online by far!! You should consider stand up comedy, you'd be top class!! Thanks for the laughs
I'm a 40 year old that feels very appreciative that I can do data scientist and software engineer (doing honours in physics maths). Every company, corporate environment has issues. Meetings I realize are killers, I just get to work with my earphones, and take notes when I need to. But I will never ever, not be appreciative to not have this opportunity.
I was a pure Balkan mother, did not give up your job, did not take any risks... but I am prouder than proud of what you have achieved in a short time. Proud you are a winner! love you..❤
❤️
Best fucking video on earth😂 these edits are gold. Already requested to join the community, lets goooo🤟🏻🤟🏻
Wow, geuinie content with personality. I´m suscribing to this channel. I yet don´t understand how such good content has not more views. Keep up!
The video editing skills are legendary
You are an amazing UA-camr!
I'm living that project manager life and I can confirm that the workload and lack of work-life balance is real. I love the projects yet I have major burnout at times! Trading better financial health for worse mental and physical health. No balance!
I can imagine it being challenging with also being a mom. How's UA-cam going?
@Stefanovic92 haven't had a spare minute since becoming a project manager a year ago to create a single video! You're so thoughtful to have remembered, thanks!
Social media Data Analysis GOATS:
1. Luke Barousse (DA overview) GOAT of GOATS
2. Mo Chen / Chandoo / Alex (Explaining DA concepts)
3. Stefan (DA in practice / life / relatable experiences)
4. Sundas - Luke ( DA - AI )
Nice one mate 👏🏼
Kudos to speaking up!
I love this channel!!!
Your message resonates with me so much.
I enjoyed your video, good fun. The Morse code bit was hilarious.
Miss your great content man! But I'm sure you're doing greater things in life ✌
Creating videos will always be the main thing man. More coming soon!
This was great (and hilarious). Thank you. New subscriber! :)
I can't agree more about corporate culture. People are so fake there, and you kind of forced me to be that fake, too, which made me hate myself so much. It was not what I thought I would be when I grew up. LOL. I choose to just stop caring and get paid, then go home. But knowing you chose a different path makes me realize there is another way to go. Looking forward to your next video!
miss your videos welcome back , hope you enjoying the bank holiday
I resonate with this so much. Data Analyst who has just been layed off, not sure what to do from here
I also got laid off, it seems like they enjoy doing such as much as meetings 😂
Your whole description of your journey into analytics and the corporate world is so relatable. I'm laughing along like you are literally describing the last 3-4 years of my career. 😂
Hahaha I love your little edits along the way, the voice break was great 😂
Keeps happening 😅
Usually I´m not the type to comment on vids (lazy) but you got my attention with your jokes. Loved it, liked it, subscribed to the channel but skipped the next video (saved for later). Keep it up ✌
instead of 4 commercials for a 14 minute video can you have 10? that would be awesome. The commercials are my favourite part
I worked in cooperate america as my first summer job. It was WORST THAN when I worked as a painter or when I volunteered at a shock trauma hospital unit under the radiology department.
The cooperate is TOXIC and the my bosses were unethical. It's soulless.
Very real video , thanks ❤
Data analyst its just a manager with more instruments to make decisions, i start enjoying it when my ideas make real impact on company and change workflow. Big international corporations maybe soulless, but you always get onboarding and someone more experienced who you can ask. My first work was debts collector agency where data pipeline its excel file on email, now its national post logistic and i literally fighting for answers and documentation.
I was working as a manager. Soon I realized that email or call doesn't work if you want people to do things. Its always meetings, because it just worked. How do you do accounting if going freelance? Accounting would be nightmare for me. If you work in company they do accounting for you. Imagine how much time is saved. You just collect money every month. Accountant gets his/her A on fire if mistakes are made.
Hire an accountant to do it for you
Hey i'm currently in some sort of similar situation as you as my job become more and more like a data analyst ans i'm training in management right now
I kinda like that and what i get from your video is "DO DATA ANALYST GIT GOOD MONEY AND IF YOU WANT TO QUIT, YOU'LL BE ABLE TO"
Super cool 🤩 and I resonate with your story a lot, because I’m a software engineer in a similar situation, and also opened a Skool community in February 😂 but instead of UA-cam I grew on Instagram first and now I’m trying youtube. Do you edit your videos yourself? They are amazing! 🔥
Bruh we are in the same boat! You speak my soul!
Bro, I am exactly struggling with corporate environment. I really enjoy flexibility and freedom to go places and do things. A job is not your life atleast not for me.
Actually quit my job over a month ago, I got really sick of the office life for nearly 7 years. Really happy to be not doing that, gives me a chance to step back and analyse my life.
Lol my guy it's like you are narrating my life to me and I'm laughing at myself! 😂 I'm an ADHD over share type of guy, now imagine how fake I must be at work... But it's okay as long as I have my exit plan. Respect from 🇿🇦 brother
great video!
You nailed it.
Atlanta in the building! Thanks Mikel
I feel like you are telling my story
Very good video 👏👏👏
Really appreciate your passion for helping people
Thanks bro
Thank a lot steev
Absolutely loved this video! Stefan you are brilliant🫡
solid video tho. havent watched high quality video like this for a while
Gosh, I’m glad that you’ve mentioned how cheesy that community name sounds. :p
That’s nice community am joining
Nice video, new sub
Yup share your sentiments
Stefan, very nice vid as always, enojoyed it a lot. One question out of curiosity, since I also had been working as DA, now jumped to BI - did you ever try to transfer into less number-related field like BI? do you think it will be less stressful / harmful than working as DA?
Great video bro as always.🙂
i really feel what you say and i love the authentic way. i just have on question: are u never afraid of how it will be perceived to have switched role and companys so often? Thats why manager said to me, when i wanted to quit a controlling job. i personally couldnt care less about things like this - but is this really a thing?
I like your sense of humour 😂😂
I'm not good at math in school. Is it advisable for me to delve into this career?
This is probably because those high-level managers are different from us youngsters. They work their asses of like they're going to inherit the company. They probably won't, but hey, at least they'll get a lot of money out of reaching those targets and quotas.
I think our generation wants to be compensated *fairly* while having proper boundaries with our life and work. Bosses in my company keep on replying past work times, even on weekends. I just completely ignore them. I still have lots of things I want to do lol.
give this man his protein back :(
mah gains
Yes so true about the corporate world
As you’ve seen both sides, I could use some advice. Is it realistic or feasible to jump straight into freelance data analytics, bypassing the corporate mumbo jumbo? Is there enough work in the freelance and/or contract space for this to be a viable option?
Man i have one question and please answer it if you have time so I'm a data analyst and currently I'm not working so you guys might know already that's there's new version of chatgpt and it can be a data analyst and I'm scared now is it gonna replace us now ??
wow man I'm shocked, my plan was learning data analysis to become a manager
now I'm thinking about learning webflow and become web developer and then maybe open my own agncy, so what do u think about that Stefano? don't worry i am gonna keep searching it's just gonna be great to know your opinion about this, and thank u man
if u r someone from the comments i wanna know ur opinion too what do u think?
Thanks a lot for all these informations that you give to us, I have finished my course in Data Analyst how can I find a job for making some experience ?
Ah, I remember the life of a Manager. Basically, baby sitting.
Stefan is the best "anti-guru" yt in the wealth niche haha
Love the way you talk about the money and your freedom journey.
Post more bro!
BTW, please check your email inbox! Something important.
Everything in Heineken is great, except the beer.
haha you spoke out my dreams into your words and thinking same to quit job and start my UA-cam channel
He is back to data videos. Yay love it.
They are your best performing videos.
Stefanovic.
Not to deep into the technical data stuff tho. Just my journey
Bro this was my life, i quit and now i work as a freelance, i Fk this corporate bullshit, i have seen people changing their entire personalities just to climb
Hi man, is there a real diference between a data analyst and a data scientist ???
Keep it up !!!
Love from portugal 🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹🇪🇺👍🙏👇
A data analyst primarily focuses on interpreting existing data to identify trends and provide actionable insights, whereas a data scientist often engages in more complex processes including creating algorithms and predictive models to handle data and extract deeper insights. x Chatgpt
@@Stefanovic92
Thanks for The answer.
cool editing
I love data analysis
U fucking killed with these face edits 😂
6:27 I spat my drink out. Thank you.
What programs does one need to learn to do freelance data analytics? I want to know more on how to find these freelance gigs
same as non-freelance: SQL and pick a BI tool and you will come a long way
Hey Stefan, I see that you have a newsletter on Twitter. Do you also do anything with email marketing?
just a lil bit
@@Stefanovic92 cool. Do you have an email list or newsletter that I can check out?
I am actually writing the same story you wrote in the past.... Advice me, I'm in 300l studying IE infact I am doing 80% of what you said you did in the video. Please advise me before it's too late.
What career you think I should focus on to make me Excell in my discipline.
Preach it bro🤣🤣
Hi Stefanovic, how did you get your freelance gig as a data analyst?
How did you become a freelancer? Did you quit your job and search for clients or did someone offer you a contracting job?
7:25 - 7:28 😂😂
You editing is 💯
pokemon evolution was hilarious lmao
Hi, my name is sultan ahamad, I am from India, and I am learning data analysis.
Would you say SQL and PowerBI is enough to get started as a data analyst?
Yes
I am 20 year old and not able to study further what should I do in my spare time want to earn some extra money online what skills should I learn
First you need to find something that you like doing. Then you need to make sure it's in-demand. Because you like it, you'll get good. And because it's in-demand, you'll get paid.
100% true
lol I love the deepfake inserts of yourself in random clips.
