- Are your drops too repetitive? Let's spice it up with variations.
NEW VITAL PRESET PACK 40% OFF ENDING TONIGHT: www.buntingmusic.com/product-...
(be sure to cop the free one too!)
Variations don't have to be hard, in fact, simpler is often better.
Tweaking a few knobs in sound design can lend a much more cohesive result than reinventing the dubstep wheel.
Vital being a wavetable synth with extra warping modes is great for this.
Yet, no good drop relies on sound design alone - you must also be careful arrangement-wise.
Put your variations in satisfying areas in your tunes! (generally every 4 bars) and you should be alright.
Or to get more advanced, play with call and response, or even write new riffs and flows.
Just keep a common thread, and leave bigger time-spans for bigger variations!

you may have stopped uploading but i will never stop learning from you
Damn you didn’t have to call me out like that at the start😂
I gotta say, your timing is impeccable my g. I just made the pivot from hiphop to free form/deep dub and I swear whenever I’ve hit a roadblock you’ve uploaded a response. Appreciate all you do!
Was just thinking the exact same thing…
Was in the bath and thought, a Crucial recordings episode would be cool. I always vibed with that darker style they had before they disappeared
True af
We have a unhealthy addiction to your sauce
Can't believe this doesn't have more views. Top tips
when you said "smaller spaces, smaller variations" all i could picture was you in holes on camp green lake going "smaller shovel, smaller hole" 😂😂

Love your videos and humor 😂 learned more about sound design in like 5 of your videos than I’ve learned in years. Thanks for doin what you do!

Loving on this vital pack!
Only been watching for a month now and have been leveling up like crazy with my sound design and song arrangement. Mad props dude you’re doing the world justice.
I love the Elden Ring thing you said...I just finished playing and this caught me off guard.
Your videos really help with the progress of my journey. Ty

I'm curious about your one-on-one classes. I've been watching your UA-cam tutorials for a few months now and honestly I've been mind blown and I've learned so much. You're straight to the point with some comedy thrown in there. How do I better inquire about some classes?
That intro hit the nail on the head lmfaoooo
Is the sample pack better than Island noodles from okechobee thooo? 🤣💪
Had to cop the tables 🥵
Your god damn hilarious and informative. 5 stars
This is an awesome video. I really like how you explain why we do everything.
For a Future video could you do a sound design vid doing beautiful synths. Not sure how else to expalin it but like I guess the ones flume uses but not just flume sounds. just beautiful harmonic synths. :D

Haha taken a break from elden ring to watch your video and you call me out like that!!!

This video is cooler than $16 bags of ice at okeechobee
Hey was wondering if one of your next like artist videos maybe do a Pretty Lights and one in my head Iv always wanted to get but can’t is How We Do the wubby that comes in about 1:45 or so. And maybe ideas on arrangements for something in that genera
I was like, those sounds suck dude, but then you added the beat to them🤯
cool
I did not need to be called out in that intro like that.
it was actually a 18$ chicken nuggies basket at okee tyvm
and a 25$ box of hibachi
truth - shrouds tutorial please
Do a vid on the Groove Pool maybe 🤔
yeeep!
Great job. It’d be dope to get some more Serum tutorials. Vital is cool and all but I still think Serum is more versatile.
Can I ask how? I haven’t used serum in a v long time, are there things it does better?
After the first 4 bars the first variation starts but how did you do that without making the 5th-8th bars "unique" per say? When I make the variation it changes every clip in that track to what I have vital set at..
I fell into this constant cycle fixing things and I'm not making any progress. I need help!!!
Just downloaded the pack! I'm not sure how I feel about packs though, I wanted to make my sounds purely through the Ableton program itself but I'm struggling to get the perfect pitch or quality. Excited to try this though.
I'll be honest chief... I have no F-ing clue how to use packs I install in ableton... I did this once before with WA productions. I don't know how to import them.
@@danburgess4753 put vital presets in documents>vital>presets>user and direct ableton to any samples
@@BuntingMusic Unsuccessful...
Maybe I need to click around.
My brain is ignite
