Just love your teaching style.. detailed & straight forward. That ring is gorgeous! I’m into learning all styles of stone settings.. keep them coming!!
Very nice ring. Looks easy in your hands but I know it's difficult. Although again I've learned something.. Like every time. Thanks a lot for showing your skills. Have a nice evening. Mieke
I’d say to try to use the laser to finish up that part maybe a little bit too risky with the Peridot, or most colored stones with the setting like he made here. For peridot, hammer setting is even risky because the stone is so soft. You could try the laser, but risk the possibility of the laser damaging the stone. Also having to find the right laser wire and fiddle with the right settings for the sterling-platinum allow he used for this ring. I don’t like to risk very many colored stone with the laser welder. You can cover the stone with rodico and I also put white lotion on over the rodico covering the colored stone for more protection to hopefully deter the laser from hitting or ricocheting into the stone. Even corundum’s will get a hole blown right through if you’re not extremely careful with the laser. That would work better with just white gold or yellow. With a Diamond in the setting the worry goes down significantly. Both 14kwg and 14kyg are easier to laser weld with than sterling and platinum. I have never used the sterling/platinum alloy but it sounds very intriguing.
hi,in iran we call silver and platinum alloy "" fedium""what do you call it??and we stamp the letter "F" inside the ring.idont know if its a international sign or a made up word in my countery.
@@eminatorstudios No! Argentium is a true Sterling silver alloy with a little bit of Germanium (either 93.5% or 96% silver). NO Palladium added. Firescale free, can be hardned in your oven (harder than 'standard' sterling), a lot more mallable and more white,. About can of worms, well worms differ and cans come in lot of sizes. But, yes there are tradeoffs. It's fragile when glowing red so it breaks easy when moved red hot. Parts may have to be supported. It easaly fuses to it self and 14K or 9K gold, so no soldering required, but solder does exist. No rhodium plating needed.

I love the Criss Cross. ❤️❤️❤️. You rock how you just slid that little piece back into line there! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯.
It looks great I love all the details you used with your settings bits. I definitely need to try and make this ring style, Thanks Autumn
Thank you so much for such an amazing educational experience. Can’t wait to see more. Val
Merci beaucoup. très beaux gestes et très belle bague.
Wow, what a beautiful piece! Well done
Amazing looking ring. Thank you for sharing. A close up of the setting at the end would of helped a bunch.

Beautiful! Great job!
Thank you very much! Can you tell me the quantities of platinum and silver for the alloy please? Thank you again!
I didn’t alloy it myself I think it is 925 silver and a mix of pt and cu
I don't think there is platinum.
Thank you for sharing, very helpful. Wondering if you know how to use a laser welder instead of the hammer action handpiece to do the setting?

I’ve never heard of Fedium
Can you please tell me where you purchased your silver-platinum? Very nice video
Chemgold in Sydney
Beautiful!!!
excelente, me encanto, gracias
Great Job!!❤
Please make a detailed lesson on hollow signet rings
Round!!
How did you make the silver/platinum % wise
Thanks!
I bought it from Moris and Watson in Australia. I recommend that you ask your supplier if they have that alloy
Wait what!? No fire scale? Why aren’t we all using this alloy?!?! Is it much more expensive?
Very good job..and interesting!!
Hello, what percentage is silver and what percentage is platinum? this alloy makes it more resistant to tarnish than the classic ag 925 ?? Thank you.
Its still 925 AG and about 5% PT the rest is copper I think
as always perfect Peter , here in Uk I never saw that alloy metal to buy ....
I don't think Chemgold are doing it anymore. Perhaps try Hoover & Strong in USA
Thank you for that very lovely
What is the name of the metal. Silver platinum mix. Please.
Beautiful
Thanks for sharing.
Do you use argentium or what is that alloy you used called?
Isn't that silver?
@@MysteryFinery Silver with PT, but my supplier doesnt do it any more. Maybe google for a supplier
@@MysteryFinery argentium is the name for a silver-paladium alloy that also doesn't get firescale but it's its whole own can of worms
@@jewellerytrainingsolutions9978 I'll see if I can find some somewhere, thanks :)
