Oh but it was, I remember playing this game without the Gameshark. When I played the Genesis games in the past, I used a cheat device called the Gameshark. AH The old days.

I have this game, I like this game even though it had some racial and stereotypical insentiments in it especially the first boss a dark skinned black guy with big lips who's his eyes got big even time you hit him. He was the first boss saying like scary movies the black guy dies first.
Could be. But in the story he's described as an ogre. And the game is made by the Japanese, so it might be inspired in ogres from Japanese folklore. Also, his skin is supposed to be red. Might be a limitation of the NES graphics.

My mom got this for me on Christmas because I played the hell out of the arcades at Red Robin
I like how the nes versions plays closer to the arcade then the genesis.
They play the same. It's just the Mega Drive port is rearranged
And if you really want something close to the original arcade, play the Amiga version.
That Toki looks soooo tiny compared to the background. Look at the Rambacha eyes size :)
Do you plan on doing the Genesis version of this game in the mere future? I did play this game on the Genesis version & it was Hard to say the least.

Nah. If you look at the original arcade game, you'd see it's the NES color limitations.

The OG arcade version was released in 1989 and looks way better than the later released NES version.
