Being somewhat of a fellow artist, i wonder what brand of watercolors he/she, uses? and the paper! and the brushes. Or does it even matter, when your that skilled! a Master at work!
I think he could use wax crayons and it would still look better than mine. I've just bought Chinese brushes off Amazon. They're brilliant.

Which technique have you applied in detailing for hair on the cheek? Please tell.
you draw the hair first with masking fluid (a kind of liquid rubber), wait for it to dray, then you can paint over it, and at the end peel it off. you can see how he peels it off at 17:16
