It's amazing that about 99.99% of this dialog is on the fly. It shows that the actors were very talented people.
If only that talent was still available today
@@trainfan-ks5hk It’s still there. It’s just that only a few actors have it.
And most of it wouldn't be allowed today!!
@@rong805 false
Or, director let the actors do what they do
0:14-0:18
This was probably how Jackie and Burt greeted each other in heaven
yupppp haha
They in a perpetual chase right now that just goes from east to west then west to east just like the movie. Burt in his pristine TransAm and Jackie on a unicycle with a steering wheel in his hands because that is all that is left of his car yelling " I'm not giving up ! I'm not giving up !" then Burt with that high pitched "Haa Haaaa !" laugh.
0:45...if you watch Junior in the background, he can't help but crack a smile at the championship from 'Swollen Groin, Texas' comment. Jackie was a genius, most of this was improvised.
Absolute gold
Nice pull! I never noticed it.
I never noticed that 🤣
That was very observant - brief, but definitely had to look down.
I cant belive Jerry Reed (snowman), burt reynolds (bandit), Jackie Gleason (buford) and Mike Henry (junior) are all dead. Rip
true only Sally Field is still alive
In 130 years in the future from today everyone alive on Earth right now will be dead.
@@Wildstar40 except Keith Richards, he will still be alive.
I hear ya, but I can believe it. 40 years is a long time. Unless you’re 30 or under right now you’ll statistically be gone in 40 years
Aren’t we forgetting Dom deLuise
Brilliant actors, gone but never forgotten.
Great movie
"When I put bullets in it Daddy, it gets too heavy". 🤣
how did he get ranked up in police school?
😅lol
@@awesomeninja9178 his daddy prolly got him in😂
So funny
@@midnyte6195 W
Not one actor could have played buford, other then Jackie gleason.
Yes,
Ha
James best could have been just as good
@@jonbrown5054 He would have been great also!
Fe
Jackie Gleason made Smokey and the Bandit funny as hell you sombich lol
Rest in peace Jackie Gleason rest in peace Burt Reynolds🙏🙏
@@wheeling-fe3ff Rest in peace to the snowman ⛄️
Hey you forgot about Jerry Reed
I know The Snowman was Jerry Reed. Honda Civic didn't mention him in his comment. That is why I posted my comment.
@@wheeling-fe3ff q. Q
SNOWMAN
Just great when sally, said "hi jr" the way burt, looked at sally, was spot on. Then jackie, looking at jr, was so funny.
Sheriff you’re out of bullets. Lol. This was the most funniest part of smoky in the bandit movie 😂😂😂
Shouldn’t he have had two more shots if he fired six times, though?
@@aycc-nbh7289No, he would've been empty after 6. Back then the most common gun carried by police was a .38 Special revolver, and those only held 6 shots.
@@JSRbowling595 Don’t revolvers, specifically the .38 Special, have eight cylinders, though?
@@aycc-nbh7289 No, most .38s (revolver) only have 5. You might see 8 for .22s though.
@@dave8168I’m pretty sure I recall going to the firing range and seeing a .38 SPL or .357 magnum with eight cylinders.
Love this film
RIP Burt Reynolds, Jerry Reed, Jackie Gleason and Pat McCormick 😢
I bet by the time Burt Reynolds passed on, this is probably how he reunited with Jackie...
My parents took my brothers and I to see this at the drive in back in 1980. I remember laughing so hard during the trucks vs police cars scene!
took my brothers and ME
first time I saw this movie was in the Drive-In as well
Absolutely brilliant, loved those films , amazing actors
You can't never fill there shoes ol legends never die they just stand back and smile may you all rip. The best of best.
Swollen Groin, Texas. Definitely on the bucket list now.
Junior -"When I put bullets in it gets too heavy..,".. LMAO!!
Rest in peace Jackie Gleason and rest in peace Burt Reynold
What about Jerry reed
And Junior.
I love those two Smokey and the Bandit movies with Burt Reynolds, as well as both Cannonball Run movies. They just don't make 'em like that anymore.
Hal Needham’s speciality.
John Schneider ( Luke Duke) recently released a DVD/online tribute to Smokey and the Dukes of Hazzard called "Stand on It". Whilst it's not as good as the Bandit films, there are enough nods for it to be a nice tribute.
@@RJSRdg John Schneider played Bo Duke
Love the GMC General truck!
I also like the Pontiac Trans Am and Bonneville police car . CHEERS
Still like the KW and T/A from the first film better
0:22 R.I.P JR. 🤣🤣😂🤣
How the hell are these "Legends" all gone?
Old age claimed them.
Sally fields is still alive.
Time marches on....
Junior's line is the funniest moment in the whole movie!!!!!!!!!!! It gets too heavy! LOL
One of the best movies ever I love this movie a lot it’s just the best movie
Loved these movies
For some reason, you sounded taller on the radio😂😂😂
...and after that: "What the hell is this world coming to?"
That jump always impressed me because it looks like Frog and Bandit inside, though it was stunt people. Even more impressive is that they aren't wearing helmets and the car doesn't have visible roll bars. That ramp wasn't the kind normally used that gives the car a hard up launch, but instead a long slant which sends the car off soon to nose dive. It would have been awesome to see that on a big movie screen
I'd always wondered how Justice never killed Jr
Now I'm curious on that score!
Because he love his son😂😂
@@adamlipscomb6459 Are you sure?
@@TheAKgunner yea I am pretty sure that his father loves his son.
@@TheAKgunner He cared enough to curse out a State Trooper over cursing in front of his "young" son.
The way buford, treats. His. Son. Is basically the same way Ralph kamden, treats Edward Norton.. Jackie, played Ralph, and art carney, played ed. From the tv show the honeymooners.
Thank You Hal Needham for making my life so much fun just trying to be Burt Reynolds! But wait, I was really trying to be you! Thank You again Sir! I truly wish I could have met you! You, are still, a Living legend in my mind, and so, so many others! You shaped my life in so many ways! Many Thanks Sir! R.I.P. Mr. Needham.....You Are Not Forgotten!!!!
Rest in peace, Pat McCormick, Jackie Gleason, Jerry Reed, Burt Reynolds, Dom DeLuise and Mike Henry.
Dom Deluise was soo adorable.
Hal Needham too
“Barrel of monkey nuts”, great script writing.
More then half of his lines were on the fly.
As you can see I’ve got my piece in my hand
You've got your what in your hand
Karl trucks 2 don’t get funny with me
You’ve got your what in your hand?
2:15 best line in the movie
Sheriff: "I knew I should've bought you a BB gun!"
if sheriff Buford T. Justice is supposedly talking to the Bandit through the CB, Well it helps to put the thumb down on the mic switch
True i noticed it But its was the PA speaker they were talking through . Not the CB.
@@Mraarongajus Well Truckers do not have PA systems now do they
@@paulwilliams5208 Bandit was talking to Buford through the PA they were both using. Not snowman
@@paulwilliams5208 You do know that CB radios have a PA switch on them right ? At least some do.
I like how the Sally Fields dummy is smiling during the jump, she seems really excited.
That's NOT a dummy, that's Janet Brady, that played Sally Fields stunt double in all of the Smokey and the Bandit films.
The name "Swollen Groin Gatsell" has always stuck in my head 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Texas, not Gatsell.
Buford is a Texas sheriff.
I get it. The captions on the DVD Pursuit Pack say, “Swollen Groin, Gatsell” instead of “Texas.”
When I put bullets in it gets too heavy classic Burford t justice i seen movie 100 hundred times love it
@1:55 Jackie Gleason is hilarious!
Smokey and the bandit: Kenworth
Smokey and the bandit 2: GMC
Smokey and the bandit 3: Peterbilt
For those of you who didn't know
Kenworth will always be my favorite
I think the Kenworth was the best
J.R was tough!!😂😅
The fact that jr carries a gun scares me.
Luckily he was too stupid to use it.
@@Pfirtzer Yeah, well when he puts the bullets in, the gun gets too heavy lol
Is the GMC & trailer still around ? RIP to all that have passed. .😪😪😪. That's a big 10 4.
"that's a baby-piss shot"
-Sheriff Buford T. Justice
Heheheheeeeeeee
What does that even mean? I don’t get how that means the shot will be easy
@@jimservu it means it'll take about as much effort as a baby pissing himself.
Anyone notice that Mike Henry loses it a little when Gleason says 'Swollen Groin, Texas'.
America needs more police like the sheriff 😂😂😂
Need more sheriffs tho because
This scene has me in stitches every time
Best movie ever made 📺
BURT REYNOLDS IS AND ALWAYS WILL NE MY IDOL
BURT REYNOLDS OS AND WILL ALWAYS BE MY IDOL
Heck yea keep the pedal to the medal and the 4 to the floor
Anyone else noticed they aren't actually keying the mic? I just now noticed it after watching this movie 30 or 40 times. Also that GMC 5 Star General that Snowman has is nice as hell.
GMC General 👍
I like the other truck better from smokey and the bandit 1
The KW W900 From the first film is a better truck
Greatest movie ever
“That’s a baby piss shot” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Miss Jackie and Burt ? Classics 🤗
Who else thinks that the 77 Trans-am from the first movie was way cooler than the 81 Trans-am from the second movie
I like both just as much. They're the same cars. Just the 81 got revised looks. Now, a true Bandit car is a 77 though.
Both are way cooler than the what they used in the 3rd on.
They're both second gen F body cars.
The trans am in this movie is actually a 1980 turbo trans am, they only used it to try and sell trans ams because the turbo trans am was the better car to have than the other cars General Motors had at the time.
@@The_Bandit.1997 I had that same car seemed fast back in the day but it really wasn't..lol
Bouford's shooting is doubly impressive, considering he doesn't even need to use the sights. He really should give up chasing the bandit and start teaching people how to shoot from the hip.
Wonder if Burgos is still chasing Bandit in heaven? RIP TWO GREAT ACTORS!🙏🏻
Jackie wasn't even holding the talk button down.
That's because when Gleason talked microphones listened.
Had something to do with professional courtesy.
from swollen groin Texas LOL
The part where Buford goes aaaaaaaaaaa makes me laugh I even do it too
A long time ago when I was young and dumb, I got drunk one night and decided to do a jump similar to that in my car. Funny thing though the whole front of my car folded when I hit the ground. Oh, the car was a total loss.
Junior:“Hey carrie!”
Buford: *Shut up u sh-*
"Barrel of monkey nuts"
“Well as you can see, Bandit...I got my piece in my hand.”
You got your what in your hand? 😂😂😂
@@19escort73 “Don’t get funny, Bandit. If you make one move, I’m gonna put a hole right between those gorgeous brown eyes.”
Buford: "Are you convinced now?"
Bandit: "I'm convinced you're out of bullets!"
Me: LOL 😂
I can’t believe this movie is 43 years old
I remember the serial and i like
Good Memories !!
I had forgotten about Beauford's watch!
Mike Henry, former pro football player ( Pittsburg Steelers and Los Angeles Rams ) played Jr Justice, He also played Tarzan in the 60's and Lt Col Donald Penobscott husband to Margaret Hoolihan in M*A*S*H* among other roles. He died age 84 Jan 8 2021.
Swollen Draws, TX
Actually, he said "Swollen Groin" which is even funnier
I think the Trans Am needed a front end alignment after that jump.
...and a oil pan gasket, engine seal, valve cover gasket replacement, at least...shocks, ...
@@dennissneed2214 It just needed to be jacked up, to have a new one slid underneath it, LOL !!!!!
No. Just adjust the tracking 😂.
I just noticed Buford didn’t even have his thumb on the mic after all these years 🤣🤣🤣
2:16 to be fair Junior ain't wrong, it does make it heavier...
The heart monitor beeping! 🤣🤣
Buford wears the Bausch and Lomb Ray Ban Drifter sunglasses
"i got my piece in my hands"
"your what?"
HELLO YOU HANDSOME SUMBITCH!
1980 Pontiac FireBird T/A with a 4.9 Liter Turbo V8
It gets heavy
I saw Chet Atkins in concert years ago. Jerry had played in Chet's band and studied with him . Chet played one of Jerry's hit songs. He said he had told Jerry he could be the best guitar player in the world, if he would just give up singing. I think Jerry did what he wanted to do .
Greatness !
This wasn't a very good movie but this scene is CLASSIC!
Later in the movie they made Bandit to be a-hole.
This is a Classic Movie !!! Don't be butt hurt !!
I thought it was a good movie but the third one is definitely trash
When I put bullets in it it gets too heavy , 🤣🤣🤣LMAO...
Rip to the bandit the snowman & sheriff Buford t justice
They aren't even holding the buttons down. Lol
That fried chicken 2
Lol , hilarious , he was the great one
Barrel of monkey nuts is my favorite insult. 😂
It just dawned on me what’s bandit doing with 2 bottles of prune juice? Or was it a joke.
The funniest movie I ever seen.!!!
Lol
Old Fred was looking down at the car before he plowed by!!
Nice
RIP Junior! Snowman!
Rest In Peace burt reynolds known as the bandit
Swollen groin of texas lol is funny as well 😁👍
I totally would've gone through with the wedding (if it was me). Junior seems like such a sweetheart. It's his Daddy that's the problem.
It's the daddy that's the man .
It get's too heavy, daddy!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I liked this scene
1:53 😂😂
Amen to that...
Burford was ready for bandits tricks this time, just wasn't ready for his son's stupidity.
