- Here I show you a great feature of my #2021 #Ford #F150 Approach Detection. The #truck can tell when I am getting close to it and will light up the area around the vehicle, lower the running boards and welcome me to the vehicle. It is very nice at night when you are in a dark parking lot or area.
I also show you how to have it automatically move your seat back, raise the steering wheel and give you extra room getting in and out of the vehicle.

That easy entry/exit will crush groceries on other things in backseat floorboard. Have never used that.
This isn’t an issue. When you put groceries in the back, the seat is already pushed all the way back. It doesn’t go into your set position until you sit in the seat and press the start button. When the vehicle is off, the seat is already back. So it can’t go back anymore after you put the groceries in.

Can the mirrors fold in while driving? I have a narrow carport that would be nice to enter/exit while folded.
Yes they can. I have folded them in while driving down the interstate. Just to see if they would and they do.
Thanks , I just traded in my 2019 lariet on a 2021 xlt and the lights come on when I approach and did not find these setting when I looked in the manual.

this has never worked on my 2021 Lariat .
If your Lariat is equipped with power running boards and the zone lighting, you should have this feature. Is the option in the menus? If it is, then you should take your truck to the dealer and have them fix it. It should work.
@@mitchcox I have an appointment at my dealer on Movember 11....interior lights don't work either
@@northlander4370 you may have a loose fuse. Check the dust box under the hood on the battery side. Open that box and push all your fuses in good. There have been reports of trucks shipping with loose fuses.
