Strange how this is still such an iconic track and yet most people know it from either super smash bros or mario kart, not f zero
I'd say that's how most smash music is tbh.
Have you tried PLAYING F-Zero? it's not bad or anything but it's kind of a game most people didn't pick up in their childhood cuz it looked like any generic racer game

@@Loretic42069I was going to say the same thing. Now I’m kinda showing my age but I grew up on f zero and f zero x for snes and 64. Giant part of my childhood that I spent countless hours playing. Maybe it’s an age thing idk but when f zero x came out for 64 and for some years after, everyone I knew had seen or played it or the original on snes.
F-Zero 99 is a great game, and I’m glad it’s not only getting people back into F-Zero, but also that it’s inspiring new covers and remixes like this!
I still prefer the original for the SNES tho

Best game out on the switch hands down. I couldn’t get into f-0 but when f099 came out I was instantly smitten with it. What a clever way to breathe life into the series.

@@NinoJoelI definitely prefer 99, but nothing will ever replace the nostalgia I have for the original nor the memories tied to it. I’m just overjoyed to see them do it justice with 99 and seeing a little resurgence of love for the series was nice. Hopefully Nintendo will either keep remaking the other games in the series or will give us a new title.
F-Zero 99 is giving us a resurgence of people covering F-Zero songs.

As someone who grew up on FZero on the SNES (barely old enough to play, but still loving the cars and the tunes) the nostalgia is just as real. Such a fun cover!
