Love the Fate series so much, I'm a mythology and history nut, and I've learned about so many more lore pieces from around the world, it's amazing to see!
This is why fate zero is special. Potrait character of each servant base on real live character. I mean if you know Alexander, Arthur, Gilgamesh, Hashashin of alamut in history book, you can feel more emotional when watch Fate Zero

I know Gilles is a Monster...but I still remember the Alternative Storyline in Bladestorm the Hundred Years War where he saves Jeanne from becoming a Demoness at the cost of his life... 5. *has assassins creed flashbacks* 6. I had no idea that was based on this pic and its glorious 7. I still think that's more painful from Mordred's side. I would have went with Artoria telling Bedivere to return Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake.
In the Arthurian Legends, Arthur had a second wife who was more faithful to him and Mordred took her hostage and killed her during the battle of Camlann. I kinda wish that feature was in the fate lore, but I still love what Fate does with the stories to make it work.

Yk this show made me see light in history, in a non corny way. Back then, when I imagined things of the past that I haven’t experienced, I couldn’t help but imagine it dull or gray. Now I can see a bit more color, and it adds so much
