She doubted herself and her right to be king when it all ended in failure. Iskandar judged that as unkingly of her because the king must be selfish and must accept the result of whatever decisions they make. Artoria couldn't accept her ending but after FSN, she has moved on from that. That's why she looks better here in FGO, and why Iskandar is now happy to see her as a proud king again.

Mash herself is the vessel. Essentially how Heroic Spirit summoning works is thus: You're not summoning the literal Ghost of the hero but instead one of 7(9) vessels which are the various classes. You're not Summoning Arthur Pendragon but a Saber Servant embied with a fraction of the true Hero who resides in the Throne. This system gets jacked and changed a lot in F/GO which is how we end up with Divine Spirits summoned as Heroic Spirits by using a Human as a vessel to make a Pseudo-Servant Mash's shield being the center piece is pretty important for all of Chaldea too given it's the Catalyst for the entire Hero Summoning that allows you to summon literally any heroic spirit because the Round Table is "A Place where heroes gather". So given her lack of need for the 7 standard class vessels she's able to manifest as a nonstandard class like sheilder because of how important the shield is for literally everything around her. Technically we could get other "Shielders" or even something crazy like... oh say a computer virus manifesting as its own unique Class outright. *Cough B.B. cough* The Class system is really only used because it's convenient for gameplay. (Yes I am aware of the two other Moon Cancers but that's more like an instance of "Best fit" more so than a situation that they have similar powers to BB. Alucerid for example is literally the daughter of the Moon.)
In Medea's defense when she said do things she used ijiwaru/いじわる which can be mean-spirited or malicious but based on her tone it sounded more like she felt like teasing her a little. Of course if it turns out like FSN then yeah I really can't defend her on that
You know, despite the fact only a select few servants maintain memories of prior summonings, an awful lot of servants "recall" their former interactions with her.
I believe this is because of how Chaldea’s summoning system differs to the Heaven’s Feel summoning system. Unlike Heaven’s Feel which takes a copy of the spirit directly from the Throne, the Chaldea system more or less copies the records of meetings with summoned versions of those Heroic Spirits and almost projects them in a way (using the round table, Mash’s shield as a catalyst for this unique). So, it doesn’t exactly follow the rules of the grail war system. This is why the Kaleid characters, Shiki and Fujino, and other such servants can be summoned. Though, there does seem to be some who don’t retain their memories of past summonings, such as Iskandar saying nothing about Waver
There are rules to this. Ever since stay night, it has been known that strong enough experiences etch themselves to the servants who will then remember them even if they're summoned through the grail wars, or whatever method. If the experience is important enough, they will be added to what is communicated to the true body of the servant In the throne of heroes.
You know, this is really a great showcase as how impactful artoria was to the knight of the roundtable. While some may had betrayed her, all of them carry great respect for their king. I guess her ideology stood the test of time.
It really hits hard when Muramasa is worrying about Artoria, His Vessel (Shirou) knows what he's doing, It feels like that he's really care about her Their Connection and Bond together never Forgot and Changed Still you can hear FSN vibes here whenever you listen his reaction on Artoria
It makes no damn sense and it's an awful line when said by him. Muramasa is Old Man Shirou and he's got no reason to mention Artoria. He is completely different person than the Shirou who partook in war. That line would have made way more sense if it were said by Emiya. Who actually remembers everything about Saber, including how she is too responsible.

Mordred's line hurts me because while it's super sweet how she pledges herself to Master it seems like a sort of soft confirmation the writers are never going to actually develop Mo's character or relationships any more, and I take lb 6 as just more evidence of that.

If you want a really good example of how it can be done look up “Sometimes the fire burns too hot inside” by “Drakethedragon”. It’s a fanfic all about this and it’s REALLY good.
Kinda sad that almost everyone that knew her has a line for her except for a white haired archer who is the former master of altria. Altria barely have dialogues for other servants and one of them is for archer and it is a wholesome heartwarming dialogue,while emiya have none.

I feel like the Saber Mordred interactions is her not wanting to see Artoria as she see's herself failing Artoria, disappointed her and well with what happened and all. Whilst the Rider Mordred is the version who completely moved on with her new life as a surfer lol. Albeit still lingering feelings of her afraid of Artoria (the way she denies that its not Prydwen). And hot damn I am just in love with her voice! (Maria from Arakawa Under the Bridge too! and Nightingale) And Muramasa, well that was legit Shirou right there from FSN lol. Perhaps even though Shirou is just Muramasa's Vessel. It feels as if Shiro's spirit and past life is still mixed in with the Vessel together with Muramasa's. Whilst other shiro version's does not seem to react to Artoria at all.

Nah I'm guessing it's the same with Muramasa since Muramasa isn't suppose to know her and his vessel is just affecting him so it's more likely that Emiya would have a worried or sad line for her.

Mordred's line hurts me because while it's super sweet how she pledges herself to Master it seems like a sort of soft confirmation the writers are never going to actually develop Mo's character or relationships any more, and I take lb 6 as just more evidence of that.
there really isn't a lot to work with there. saber kills her after she ruinef britain. some things aren't easily forgiven.
Yeah, after (being a side character in) Apocrypha, she never get any real character's development, and London's story is just bad.
@@mihai000000 I would argue that’s the best reason for development, some things aren’t easily forgiven, we could get really cool long running B plot in events and even main singularities of the two of them slowly getting past all the shit that happened.
If you want a really good example of how it can be done look up “Sometimes the fire burns too hot inside” by “Drakethedragon”. It’s a fanfic all about this and it’s REALLY good.

Altria barely have dialogues for other servants and one of them is for archer and it is a wholesome heartwarming dialogue,while emiya have none.

I feel like the Saber Mordred interactions is her not wanting to see Artoria as she see's herself failing Artoria, disappointed her and well with what happened and all.
Whilst the Rider Mordred is the version who completely moved on with her new life as a surfer lol. Albeit still lingering feelings of her afraid of Artoria (the way she denies that its not Prydwen).

And Muramasa, well that was legit Shirou right there from FSN lol.
Perhaps even though Shirou is just Muramasa's Vessel. It feels as if Shiro's spirit and past life is still mixed in with the Vessel together with Muramasa's.
Whilst other shiro version's does not seem to react to Artoria at all.
