Appreciate you! That’s dope! The times I’ve used it, it’s been cool! Glad you’re able to use it a lot. I think my brain is conditioned to 2 channels now 😩
I know it was something kind of off when I was trying to beat juggle but I couldn't pinpoint it. It's the pads that's not close like my battle style mixer Pioneer S11 SE that I sold before purchasing the Rane Performer. Thanks for pointing that out.
Liftoff, question my brotha, as a DJ would you prefer the Rane Performer or the Pioneer DDJ FLX10? Better yet which one will more DJs be familiar with?
Rane Performer is great as a wedding dj tool that uses sync and of course for scratching it's fun. The stem split is ok,a bit fiddly but still cool. Mixing is a no go, tempo lock is dreadful qaulity compared to pioneer, pitch and time isn't very good qaulity also. And of course to speed up and slow down tracks together you now have to learn to do it the old way in that the pitch moves with the speed unless you disengage the motors. I know that's "real dj" and all that crap but compared to pioneer stuff this is very hard to mix on unless you do quick cuts or just drop tracks one after the other, or do all your beatmatching in the cue. Build qaulity is good aside that but the pads are not as nice as pioneer also. Overall - pros and cons don't buy this if your not vinyl dj is all I will say
@DJLiftOFF Man I get so frustrated learning to scratch I haven't got the concept yet but I will hopefully. Looking at you do it seems so easy the best I've seen yet .Thanks for the info I may trade my prime 4 plus or keep it because I do like it but I'm definitely gonna get a motorized set .Love you brother stay safe and thanks again.
Thanks for the review, bro. I really wanted the RANE FOUR because of the isolated Acapella and Instrumental stems buttons. Then the REV 5 came out and it's stems buttons includes the 4-part stem separation; vocal, melody, bass, drums. I prefer that level of separation because I can get pretty creative with mixing songs with those. For stems mixing alone, which do you think is a better controller? Is there a feature on the RANE FOUR or FOUR PERFORMER that can achieve that same level of stem mixing?
Welcome!! For the Rane controller, you can control the vocal, melody, bass and drums using the stems pad button for sure! I love this controller for mixing 100%. I would say this is an excellent pick up for that.
From majority of the Rane Performer clips i can tell the crossfade cut sounds more like a fade than a cut-in. It just doesn’t sound as sharp as the Rev 7. Maybe there is a way to change that in utility menu or settings?
I’ve researched it online and tried various things but maybe I’m missing something still. I’ve tried using the hardware settings and utility settings but no luck. It’s definitely noticeable for people with a good ear! When you’re scratching over a song, it’s not too noticeable but yeah, not 100% sure if it can be improved more.
What's good bro. I had your dj scratch course I haven't use in awhile but was always signed in. For some reason it won't let me in. I also put in forgot password and my email I used I'm not getting an email to put in a new password can you help me?

Great Review! The stem splits were a game changer for me, it helps me to be more creative but at first I didn't think I would use them as much!
You mean serato’ stems?

Your opinion matters - thanks for sharing it. Learnt some stuff.
Appreciate that 🙏🏾🙏🏾
They just updated the crossfader! 💪🏽😁
What do you mean exactly?

Yeaa, I like the battle style layout more for sure. It can def make a huge difference based on a DJ’s style.
@@DJLiftOFF yes

Depends on age group probably haha one had spinning platters and one doesn't soooooo

I'm thinking about trading in my Prime 4 + for this controller question for you is a motorized jog wheel better for scratching?
Yo! It’s absolutely more natural when learning to scratch for sure. I thinks it’s much better for scratching in general as well.

I heard that the rane performer has trouble doing a backspin effect on the platter compared to the rev 7. Is that true?

@@DJLiftOFF i believe that was the same issue with the Rane Four? I can hear it in every video clip I’ve seen. Has a very short attack
I’m gonna change from Rane I buy a Rane One and a Rane Four but none a them mic stage not good I’m sad 😢
Ahh, sorry to hear that. What are you gonna pick up next?

The stems function is better on the flx10
Definitely more versatile. I like the Rane performer better overall tho
Just match up the magnets 🧲 underneath the platter
Mannn, I swear that’s what I was doing ahah.
