Thanksgiving Leftovers Pie recipe - instead of making a sandwich, throw it all into a pie! :D

Don’t get me wrong. I love Thanksgiving leftovers sandwiches, but this year, I wanted to try something different. And so, I decided to use up my leftovers in a pie! Visually, I was a bit disappointed. I wanted distinct layers and didn’t get them. I also didn’t like how the top turned out. But it’s ok! Because flavor wise, it was delicious! It’s like a mix between a pot pie and a shepherd’s pie with a touch of sweetness.
There isn’t really an exact recipe here as I didn’t measure anything and used up leftovers but here is what I used:
3 pie doughs
Turkey
Gravy
Cranberry sauce
Mac and cheese
Creamed spinach
Mashed potatoes
Egg wash
Parmesan cheese, grated

my 1st thought was: if it were me i would have used something else besides the cranberry sauce on the bottom layer to keep the crust from getting soggy, like maybe even brushing on the extra gravy to create a fat-based seal. but honestly i think the result looked delicious and was very reminiscent of pot pie in that its not meant to make a beautiful slice but rather, be a hearty bite when you dig into (and destroy) the crust!
I was thinking the same thing, at the very least maybe this would have benefitted from a blind-bake first? That's a lot of wet going into the pie. Delicious nonetheless I'm sure :D

I always wondered how Thanksgiving leftovers would turn out as a pie, it's looks more like a pot pie rather than a desert pie and I would still eat it regardless of appearances 😝

That looks so delicious! I kinda already smush everything on my thanksgiving plate anyways - I want all the flavors in my mouth at once! 😂 So this is right up my alley. Minus the lattice. Last time I did lattice, I told myself never again lol.

I never would've thought to bake the leftovers into a pie! I'm currently in the process of turning the leftover turkey into a soup, myself. But this looks just as delicious 🩵

I tried making a layered leftovers bundt casserole. It actually baked up nicely. Greased bundt pan with butter, added stuffing first and then added the sides. Baked at 350 for 25-30 minutes. 😊 Topped each slice with gravy.

Awesome take are leftovers! I think pies are usually messy and not meant to be pretty with layers. Taste is where it's at.
