I've had years of vocal teachers, and private lessons and this is the most simple, fast, and efficient warm up I've come across. My voice loves it, thank you very much!

After watching your video just once I recorded myself and sure enough, I could actually handle listening to myself. Just imagine what will happen if I keep up your fantastic lessons. You are adorable by the way, love your energy
The one thing I have learnt from my own experience is that anyone and everyone can sing.Just one important thing is that everyone has their own range, until an unless you do not cross the range you can do wonders. One thing I have been struggling with even after getting better is the confidence of telling others that I am capable of singing. So I advice u to sing alone with yourself but sing with a group of people (your friends I would recommend). This is important cause if you are good at something it is essential for you to communicate it and sometimes confidence is an essential part cause without confidence in your voice and in yourself the worst may come out of you. I hope you enjoy your journey of being a badass singer and don’t give up 👍👍👍
Before i start this regularly i have questions if you dont mind 1- Once you do this after a while, is it permanent or do you need to do this before you sing 2- How long did it take for your voice to change?

Love this video series. Vocal warm up part starts at 2:52 for those who are revisiting this video, like me, and just want to run through the exercises with him.
To anyone watching wondering if these work, I've been watching Eric's videos for a few years and JUST doing these warm-ups improved my voice by the end. I'm not joking! I sang a song before I did these and sang the same one after and my tone was much clearer, my high notes were less strained, and I started to deliver vibrato consistently!! My sister laughed the whole video till I sang at the end and her jaw dropped, she wasn't laughing anymore. I literally do these once every few months but still continue to improve so if I did these daily I'd be set! IT IS THE BEST, THIS IS WORTH PRACTICING!!
Dear Eric, This has helped me not only to gain strength and control without straining my vocal chords! It has also given me the confidence to be a part of my church's worship team. That for me is the blessing of blessings in your course. May joy love abundance and peace be your companions and may Jesus always be the light that shines upon you . May God continue to bless you and your family and your children and your children's children for a thousand generations . Thank you eternally in Jesus name Amen and Amen from Sacramento California 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️☺️☺️☺️
Wow! I have sang, not professionally, but in church and local venues and never have I felt more comfortable than after this lesson! Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤️❤️🙌
When I was practicing my dad came in my room and said"what r u doing? " I said "nothing" then he asked me " then what was that sound" I answered " I don't know, maybe it's coming from the neighbour's house" hahaha......
I've found using this warm up along with Sinatra's method of gargling olive oil and drinking a glass of warm green tea really helps ease the tension we're trying to get rip of with the warm ups while also having the throat well lubricated for increased range! Great video!
Thank you so much for putting these videos out! I've been searching for the right assistance to retrain my voice, and I feel great confidence in your teaching. It's thorough, explanatory, full of good humor, and uniquely classy in your personal conduct, all of which make for a very relaxed and inviting environment. Much appreciated!
I am a choir teacher in middle school and what I really love about this, is that I say the same things to my students, but they think I am crazy and question the method and why in the world I make them do the things that I make them do in warm-ups. But...You make it look cool! I think if I show this to them, they will listen to YOU and realize that I'm not a crazy person. So, thank you.

Your 3 part video on vocal warmup is my bread and butter. Within 30 mins my voice sounds so much better and much more powerful. Thank you for sharing these tips with us

I was super skeptical, but after going through all this, HOLY CRAP their IS a difference in how I sound singing :O he has officially won me over to vocal practices. Omg I am super excited now :D
Progress Report: I've been practicing all these tips for about a 7-9 days. Finally I cracked myself up thinking, here I am, another one of hundreds of thousands of viewers making silly sounding lip rolls and other funny stuff. But they say laughing is good for you, and given my vocally challenged situation, I couldn't possibly get any worse. After only a week of daily effort, and feeling I was making some progress, I went back to the studio and laid down the same track I'd recorded prior to starting the exercises. I was shocked to find that while I had more confidence, my sound sucked even more than it did before. I was louder and steadier, but no "better". Still I persisted, and two days later I remembered another tip from another one of Eric's videos, which was to try to let your "talking voice" come through. It's not like I didn't know that already, but what's cool about Eric's tutorials is that he reminds you of the fundamentals. When I worked my talking voice into the mix, suddenly things started coming together. Also, don't be fooled by the seeming ridiculousness of the exercises. What I found is that it's not the "lip roll" or whatever the exercise is that is the point. The point is focusing on what is taking place within your physical system when you are doing the exercise, e.g. the rate and steadiness of the airflow required to maintain the exercise; whether or not the tension of certain muscles is necessary to achieve the same effect, and separating what is happening with your vocal chords from the rest of your body. Singing is something that I assumed should be as natural as talking, and while that's partly true, there's a lot more going on than we think, and exploring that is what Eric's tutorials will help you do. I realize that real progress is going to take me longer than a week or two. But in only 9 days, I have a new appreciation for the way my body works when using it as a musical instrument. It has given me a basic palette from which to find the right colors ( if that makes any sense ). Before this it was all accident combined with a lot of trial and error.
Hey, I'm assuming by the talking voice, he means the chest voice (that's the general terminology, at least), but I've got a problem. I can't tap into my chest voice. It's weird. I don't why, I think I got a cold a few years back and haven't been able to speak in my chest voice since then (or at least, doesn't have a very good control over it).
@@Dhruv-qw7jf actually.. Singing in your talking voice means two things.. 1) Opening the vowels nd pronouncing consonants in the same way as speaking when you sing. 2)Chest voice as you said.
@J Randall Murphy ..nd this needs more likes.. Cuz this is the exact same thing happened to me ,i totally agree with you..espesially with the "theres lots of other stuff going around in singing"...cuz theres literally just a huge room for improvement for anyone at all! Nd i cannot explain it in words better than you!
Ah it's amazing! Seriously though. I started seven months ago for worship at my church, and within months there was a huge difference. So grateful for these warm ups. They not only helped to strengthen my voice, but my confidence as well. Thanks Eric.
okay, imma come back here everyday and note the differences i noticed. day one: my throat hurts ajsndb, but beside that my voice kinda sounds more 'open'. (can u like so i can remember to come back?)
okay wow!!! yes I felt silly for some of the vocal exercises. in fact I had to stop a couple of times and have a giggle fest. but when I was done I decided to sing on my own which is a song I've been singing since I was 12 so almost 15 years now. I've never heard my voice sound so clear and even and I didn't have to fight to reach the high notes for the first time in my life! I felt clear and in control of my own voice. these exercises were so, helpful thank you so much!
Dude, you explain in such a way that a morbid thinking pet rock like myself can be uplifted into a place of capability, encouragement and understanding. You sir, deserve to be called, sensei.
I'm going on 22 yrs with a 9 piece professional wedding band. And, I've watched this before every single one not long after you posted these!!! I always tell people about it. TY SO much for these wonderful exercises!!!
O my god just did this once and my voice feels so open. I sang a song which I recorded myself singing yesterday. I already see a huge difference. Wow this is so powerful tips. Thank you so so much man ! 💕 I'm gonna do this everyday from now on✌️
At 3AM Mom : **comes into my room cuz she heard something weird in my room** Me : **Does the head turn and lip roll** Mom : JESUS CHRIST WHAT KIND OF SATANIC CHILD I HAVE
This literally changed my voice so much it blew my mind.Thank you so much for sharing this to my son.He has progressed and I love his singing.Thank you so much!!!
I am thankful to you for sharing this priceless warmup routine for free, for making it easy to follow, for convincing me at the beginning to ignore, or rather embrace the weirdness, and for encouraging me to give it a full try. It has made such a great difference to my voice. My voice feels fuller, does not break, and the vocal fatigue I used to feel in my throat has reduced drastically. With so little effort and so much benefit, vocal warmups are pure gold in terms of return on investment. I am going to stick to this routine and learn more about vocal warmups and voice training. I can not thank you enough. Thank you Eric! 🙏
7 years later and this training is still relevant! I am a singer who stopped singing more than 35 years ago and although my voice is there the power of it and the high notes I was able to do naturally aren’t there right now. I am sure with your trainings that in a few months that will change. A million thanks to you, I was ready to give up on trying to sing again but someone told me to find a good vocal coach online and I did...YOU!
I actually kept doing those exercises along with you and at the end when you told us to sing a song then , I could recognize the difference , its so good . Thank you so much for sharing these tips with us ! Hope I will be able to perform one day and forever : )

I was looking for singing lessons on youtube and most of them didnt help and my singing was awful until I start doing the lip roll exercises and all the othet exercises and I noticed SO much improvement so I am subscirbed to his channel and I would personally thank him for these video exercises. 10/10

Agreed. Ive started doing vids 1 and 2 a few times a week, adding in 3 if I am not at work, and Im starting to get my E5s back.
My own jaw dropped when I did the before and after singing bit. I mean, this is amazing!
How long does it take to help

Dear Eric,
This has helped me not only to gain strength and control without straining my vocal chords!
My dad came in while I was doing that "saying no while lip rolling" and he just slowly backed away 😂

LOL :)))) Dont be shy own it!
+Bonnie Brae Thank you so much.
LOL!!! I used to teach middle school/high school, so I totally get it! Hope the videos help! 😄🙌🏽

Your 3 part video on vocal warmup is my bread and butter. Within 30 mins my voice sounds so much better and much more powerful. Thank you for sharing these tips with us
Doing lip rolls, shaking my head, having bangs, I'm feeling like a horse
Not the BAYANG!
Hahahahahahahaha
I know it feels weird. But just ignore the neigh sayers
is it sad that I'm not coordinated enough to lip roll and make a sound at the same time...
I literally only did these things at night and a bit the next morning and already noticed an immense positive change
THIS IS INCERDIBLE. It's the most clear and concise warm up lesson I've found and I've been searching for YEARS. THANK YOU!!
There are FREE singing tips, products that you can purchase, as well as info on how to take one-on-one lessons; it's all on our site, www.AApproach.com. And did I mention that there are FREE tips? ;)
@J Randall Murphy
..nd this needs more likes..

My ENT surgeon recommends your exercises for post operative recovery. What an eye-opener your lessons are!
okay wow!!! yes I felt silly for some of the vocal exercises. in fact I had to stop a couple of times and have a giggle fest. but when I was done I decided to sing on my own which is a song I've been singing since I was 12 so almost 15 years now. I've never heard my voice sound so clear and even and I didn't have to fight to reach the high notes for the first time in my life! I felt clear and in control of my own voice. these exercises were so, helpful thank you so much!
I felt the same thing, amazing isn't it? I was NOT expectING any significant changes but whoa. My vocal chords were set free.
man you're great for doing this for us, for free
thank you

I'm yawning all the time. I yawn sometime in the middle of singing. Do that mean I have some singing talent
Soon as he said yawn I couldn't help yawning

7 years later and this training is still relevant! I am a singer who stopped singing more than 35 years ago and although my voice is there the power of it and the high notes I was able to do naturally aren’t there right now. I am sure with your trainings that in a few months that will change. A million thanks to you, I was ready to give up on trying to sing again but someone told me to find a good vocal coach online and I did...YOU!
Wow, I tried singing a song I sing like every day. After just one try, singing was smoother and felt easier.
I actually kept doing those exercises along with you and at the end when you told us to sing a song then , I could recognize the difference , its so good . Thank you so much for sharing these tips with us ! Hope I will be able to perform one day and forever : )
Yooo this shit really works😳😳😳. New online coach yayy😍❤️😘
