Dear Mr. Arceneaux. I'm recommending all my students to your course of study. Yours is the clearest, most effective, and accurate set of exercises I have seen online. I teach master classes in many universities and here in New York and my students are always looking for good resources. You have put together an accessible, efficacious course of study for singers of all levels. Bravo.
Good day sir... I was hit on my neck... And after that incident, my voice becomes rough and can't those notes I do normally hit before and each time I try singing high or low low, a kind of lump sensation will appear in my throat and I will get a contraction stopping me from singing high and I get easily cracked because of this incident... My real texture has been lost... What has happened to my vocal cords and will I ever recover sir, is being 3months this incident happened sir... I need a reply from you and recommendation sir...
I agree with chuck... this has been really helpful... also einstein stated trying something repeatedly and expecting different results is just plain SAD (trump impression) i struggled to be confident in my singing voice.. these awareness exercisses have been an EYEOPENER@@.

Thank you so much for putting these videos out! I've been searching for the right assistance to retrain my voice, and I feel great confidence in your teaching. It's thorough, explanatory, full of good humor, and uniquely classy in your personal conduct, all of which make for a very relaxed and inviting environment. Much appreciated!
These tips are great, at the end of the warm up I was already able to feel a difference in my voice! As if I tuned a guitar correctly, that was the feeling. I will keep on doing this every day! Subscribed : )
To anyone watching wondering if these work, I've been watching Eric's videos for a few years and JUST doing these warm-ups improved my voice by the end. I'm not joking! I sang a song before I did these and sang the same one after and my tone was much clearer, my high notes were less strained, and I started to deliver vibrato consistently!! My sister laughed the whole video till I sang at the end and her jaw dropped, she wasn't laughing anymore. I literally do these once every few months but still continue to improve so if I did these daily I'd be set! IT IS THE BEST, THIS IS WORTH PRACTICING!!
Mine was an Ad telling that the youtube videos doesn't work at teaching how to sing, and that they have the key to learn how to. It reminded me to politicians who fight and offend the competition in order to gain audience. Disgusting. :v
When I was practicing my dad came in my room and said"what r u doing? " I said "nothing" then he asked me " then what was that sound" I answered " I don't know, maybe it's coming from the neighbour's house" hahaha......
3* weeks in(give or take a couple days) and I highly recommend doing some basic stretches for 10 minutes before these exercises, it’s helped a ton! I feel AND hear a huge difference already. Some days are better than others but I’m excited about my progress so far✨
okay wow!!! yes I felt silly for some of the vocal exercises. in fact I had to stop a couple of times and have a giggle fest. but when I was done I decided to sing on my own which is a song I've been singing since I was 12 so almost 15 years now. I've never heard my voice sound so clear and even and I didn't have to fight to reach the high notes for the first time in my life! I felt clear and in control of my own voice. these exercises were so, helpful thank you so much!
I'm going on 22 yrs with a 9 piece professional wedding band. And, I've watched this before every single one not long after you posted these!!! I always tell people about it. TY SO much for these wonderful exercises!!!
okay, imma come back here everyday and note the differences i noticed. day one: my throat hurts ajsndb, but beside that my voice kinda sounds more 'open'. (can u like so i can remember to come back?)
Wow! I have sang, not professionally, but in church and local venues and never have I felt more comfortable than after this lesson! Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤️❤️🙌
I was super skeptical, but after going through all this, HOLY CRAP their IS a difference in how I sound singing :O he has officially won me over to vocal practices. Omg I am super excited now :D
I am a choir teacher in middle school and what I really love about this, is that I say the same things to my students, but they think I am crazy and question the method and why in the world I make them do the things that I make them do in warm-ups. But...You make it look cool! I think if I show this to them, they will listen to YOU and realize that I'm not a crazy person. So, thank you.
Dude, you explain in such a way that a morbid thinking pet rock like myself can be uplifted into a place of capability, encouragement and understanding. You sir, deserve to be called, sensei.
Ah it's amazing! Seriously though. I started seven months ago for worship at my church, and within months there was a huge difference. So grateful for these warm ups. They not only helped to strengthen my voice, but my confidence as well. Thanks Eric.
Progress Report: I've been practicing all these tips for about a 7-9 days. Finally I cracked myself up thinking, here I am, another one of hundreds of thousands of viewers making silly sounding lip rolls and other funny stuff. But they say laughing is good for you, and given my vocally challenged situation, I couldn't possibly get any worse. After only a week of daily effort, and feeling I was making some progress, I went back to the studio and laid down the same track I'd recorded prior to starting the exercises. I was shocked to find that while I had more confidence, my sound sucked even more than it did before. I was louder and steadier, but no "better". Still I persisted, and two days later I remembered another tip from another one of Eric's videos, which was to try to let your "talking voice" come through. It's not like I didn't know that already, but what's cool about Eric's tutorials is that he reminds you of the fundamentals. When I worked my talking voice into the mix, suddenly things started coming together. Also, don't be fooled by the seeming ridiculousness of the exercises. What I found is that it's not the "lip roll" or whatever the exercise is that is the point. The point is focusing on what is taking place within your physical system when you are doing the exercise, e.g. the rate and steadiness of the airflow required to maintain the exercise; whether or not the tension of certain muscles is necessary to achieve the same effect, and separating what is happening with your vocal chords from the rest of your body. Singing is something that I assumed should be as natural as talking, and while that's partly true, there's a lot more going on than we think, and exploring that is what Eric's tutorials will help you do. I realize that real progress is going to take me longer than a week or two. But in only 9 days, I have a new appreciation for the way my body works when using it as a musical instrument. It has given me a basic palette from which to find the right colors ( if that makes any sense ). Before this it was all accident combined with a lot of trial and error.
Hey, I'm assuming by the talking voice, he means the chest voice (that's the general terminology, at least), but I've got a problem. I can't tap into my chest voice. It's weird. I don't why, I think I got a cold a few years back and haven't been able to speak in my chest voice since then (or at least, doesn't have a very good control over it).
@@Dhruv-qw7jf actually.. Singing in your talking voice means two things.. 1) Opening the vowels nd pronouncing consonants in the same way as speaking when you sing. 2)Chest voice as you said.
@J Randall Murphy ..nd this needs more likes.. Cuz this is the exact same thing happened to me ,i totally agree with you..espesially with the "theres lots of other stuff going around in singing"...cuz theres literally just a huge room for improvement for anyone at all! Nd i cannot explain it in words better than you!
I was looking for singing lessons on youtube and most of them didnt help and my singing was awful until I start doing the lip roll exercises and all the othet exercises and I noticed SO much improvement so I am subscirbed to his channel and I would personally thank him for these video exercises. 10/10
holy hell i did the exercises and now my voice is better and going to highs and lows i haven't achieved before. always tensing up this will help me immensely in va work.
This is my FIRST time doing this exercise and at the end I felt my throat much more open than at the beginning, and my frequent song sounded better already. Can’t wait to see my progress over time, and thank you already!
You may never see this but this is the first vocal training video I've ever seen and I could notice a difference this first time. I will be saving this video and using it. If you are ever in Columbus, Ohio post it.
I am thankful to you for sharing this priceless warmup routine for free, for making it easy to follow, for convincing me at the beginning to ignore, or rather embrace the weirdness, and for encouraging me to give it a full try. It has made such a great difference to my voice. My voice feels fuller, does not break, and the vocal fatigue I used to feel in my throat has reduced drastically. With so little effort and so much benefit, vocal warmups are pure gold in terms of return on investment. I am going to stick to this routine and learn more about vocal warmups and voice training. I can not thank you enough. Thank you Eric! 🙏

So Glad to See Over 16,000,000 views on my favorite warm-up video . When I first starting watching & practicing w/ Eric's video's I think it was around 8 million -which was already awesome. I do this warm-up literally every week. Thx Eric
Thank you so much, Eric!! I tend to lose my voice often due to acid reflux. After doing these exercises, I realized that I constantly and unknowingly hold my lower chest muscles/ diaphragm really tightly. Not only have these exercises helped with vocal range, but also my acid reflux!! I was hurting myself and didn't know it, lol. Thanks again, and I look forward to further progression :)
This tutorial helped me out a lot on my breathing technique - and for those of you who feel "stupid" doing any of this; my vocal instructor has some good advice: "If you feel stupid, you're doing it right." [:
I actually kept doing those exercises along with you and at the end when you told us to sing a song then , I could recognize the difference , its so good . Thank you so much for sharing these tips with us ! Hope I will be able to perform one day and forever : )

+Bonnie Brae Thank you so much.
Agreed. Ive started doing vids 1 and 2 a few times a week, adding in 3 if I am not at work, and Im starting to get my E5s back.
My own jaw dropped when I did the before and after singing bit. I mean, this is amazing!
How long does it take to help

Bruh I was doing the exercise and a old spice ad popped out saying "WHAT ARE YOU DOING" 😂😂😅
Lmao
That’s funny 😂😂
Lol
Mine was an Ad telling that the youtube videos doesn't work at teaching how to sing, and that they have the key to learn how to.
It reminded me to politicians who fight and offend the competition in order to gain audience. Disgusting. :v
😂
When I was practicing my dad came in my room and said"what r u doing? " I said "nothing" then he asked me " then what was that sound" I answered " I don't know, maybe it's coming from the neighbour's house" hahaha......
Ritisha Saini omg😂😂
Wow so dumb😑😴😪

LOL :)))) Dont be shy own it!
Day 6 of watching the 4 videos in full. Only takes roughly 20 minutes and I’ve already felt a difference in the way I sing thank you☺️
3* weeks in(give or take a couple days) and I highly recommend doing some basic stretches for 10 minutes before these exercises, it’s helped a ton! I feel AND hear a huge difference already. Some days are better than others but I’m excited about my progress so far✨
I wasn't expecting that much of a difference, holy crap😂
DID IT WORK
It works?
Did it work?
Callista Weatherford how has it helped you?
hey sexy mama, how you doin? wuss yo snapchat gurl?
okay wow!!! yes I felt silly for some of the vocal exercises. in fact I had to stop a couple of times and have a giggle fest. but when I was done I decided to sing on my own which is a song I've been singing since I was 12 so almost 15 years now. I've never heard my voice sound so clear and even and I didn't have to fight to reach the high notes for the first time in my life! I felt clear and in control of my own voice. these exercises were so, helpful thank you so much!
I felt the same thing, amazing isn't it? I was NOT expectING any significant changes but whoa. My vocal chords were set free.
When I was doing the lip rolls and shaking my head, I felt like a horse

LOL!!! I used to teach middle school/high school, so I totally get it! Hope the videos help! 😄🙌🏽
I tried to yawn on command, and the next thing I know, its morning.

@J Randall Murphy
..nd this needs more likes.. Cuz this is the exact same thing happened to me ,i totally agree with you..espesially with the "theres lots of other stuff going around in singing"...cuz theres literally just a huge room for improvement for anyone at all!

is it sad that I'm not coordinated enough to lip roll and make a sound at the same time...

This tutorial helped me out a lot on my breathing technique - and for those of you who feel "stupid" doing any of this; my vocal instructor has some good advice:
"If you feel stupid, you're doing it right." [:
After this video I was able to sing louder than I ever could before without strain. The exercises really do help.
Vlogs 15 awesome 😊
Been doing this for 3 years. Changed everything for me. Thank you brother
I actually kept doing those exercises along with you and at the end when you told us to sing a song then , I could recognize the difference , its so good . Thank you so much for sharing these tips with us ! Hope I will be able to perform one day and forever : )
Who's here in 2019?

I literally yawned the second I read your comment.
actually I did 😂😂😂😂😂
I have been doing this every day for about a week now and it has helped my voice so much.
I was doing this while at work and they walk by my desk and ask if I was OK LOL....
I am so amazed it actually worked. When I sing it feels natural and lighter.
It's only work while singing or in speaking generally?
I've been using this work out for about a month and now I'll yawn involuntarily whenever I see Eric's face.
