- NOW OFFERED FOR SALE IS this 1989 FJ62 which is probably one of the most intensive restorations we have ever performed on a classic Toyota Land Cruiser. The restoration took over 9 months to complete with meticulous attention to detail. This Land Cruiser has the 5.7 vortec “crate” v8 engine and the GM ¾ ton 4L80E automatic transmission. The vortec v8 engine produces around 400hp. The cruiser was purchased in a dry climate and came to us rust-free and well preserved. A partial list of the work performed includes: body work to remove dents and imperfections, completely sealed and primer painted with a finish color of Desert Tan. It was painted with a two stage paint, "base coat / clear coat" it is gorgeous. The undercarriage was power washed and sandblasted, followed by a rust prevention treatment including a rubberized top coat. All new leaf springs with grease-able shackles, shocks and steering stabilizer. All new inner and outer brake lines, calipers, rotors, drums, shoes and pads, as well as a complete front “Birfield” knuckle rebuild. It has an all new dual exhaust system, a custom front LCR bumper with 8000# Warn winch, 2 bumper mounted LED spotlights, 8 roof mounted LED spotlights, custom rear LCR bumper with spare tire carrier and storage can holders as well as a receiver hitch, custom LCR Rock sliders, custom roof rack. All new carpet and padding, reupholstered leather seats and door panels. Euro style outside mirrors, lockable center console. Top quality LED headlights. BFG 285/75/16 Km2 m/t tires, Five 16” pro comp rims. Front and rear indirect interior LED curtesy lighting, automatic activated headlights, Professionally installed high end custom sound system with rear cargo speaker box wrapped in matching brown leather. All windows tinted at 20% penetration. It still retains the factory power windows, power locks and push button 4 wheel drive.

I would do a V8 Turbo Diesel conversion with the 200 series Twin Turbo 4.5 liter diesel motor that is fully chipped.

I love it mate! Great job... where dis you get the door trims?, or custom made?
... if I may advise you.. I noticed that your speedo clock hand is shaky. So take the speedo cable out and pull the inner spiral out.. wash the tube in kero and blow out with air. Then press some grease from the top and rub some grease also on the clean spiral before feeding back in. Put as much grease as you can. Install the cable. This is the trick for the shaky speedometer hand in the clock.
If you do this your speedo will work like new.. it gives a totally different feeling looking down on your controls

It is not a restoration. You wouldn't call a Mercedes Benz 300 SL Gullwing with GM Vortec V8 restored, since a restoration is meant to restore value or maintain value.
