- GDM Engineering CNC race cylinder head package, GDM Billet intake, GDM race damper, GDM S54 to S52 exhaust flanges, S52 89.6mm crank, 87mm pistons 10.7:1 compression, CAT cams 298/290 12.5/12mm, 9050 peak rpm 365 sae corrected mustang dyno. Car owned and built by Ed graff @ 11/10’s racing. Please ignore the idle the 6-1 coupled with no ICV had the Link G4 in a tizzy

It would be interesting to know how many minutes you can run the car at 9k before it shakes itself to death. That is an absolute beast of a race engine.
@@robertfontaine3650 with the GDM engineering damper…it shouldn’t. We lowered rpm to 8500 and it was beat on daily…

This is probably as far as an s52 has ever been pushed being NA. What fuel was this running?
This was e85 which was likely hurting power at 10.7:1. His head and intake change the trajectory of this platform, at least 5 serious builds going together now…
@@zemaestro interesting stuff. I was running full e85 on a stock M50 with my RHD itb kit, I don't think I gained much of anything without cams and a worn valve train! Was interesting to do and a good learning experience to go towards this new build I have. I'm trying to hand port another head and cast RHD runners to be similar to what you guys are doing. This is for a booster application so we'll see how this goes I guess.

This is definitely not as far as one has been pushed lol, the build is still relatively mild compression could be way higher.
What opens these motors up the most? I have a 97 M3. I'm assuming the heads and cams go a long way. Awesome build and numbers!
intake opens up the best, then cams. After that you need bunch of supporting mods, big stroke crank is a problem when revving highs, need better damper and strenghtend oil pump shaft, additional chain tensinioner. valvetrain also needs upgrading and after that you need to port head. Doesnt cost much to get 260-270hp but after that it starts to add up quickly

At 9krpm it sounds like a v10 from a e60 a little bit
is this using the rabid racing pistons and honda rods?
@G 3ee yeah rabid race developments make a set of s52 pistons that use honda b18 rods due to the better rod ratio
