We just broke the BMW B48 WHP World Record on our BMW F30 330e B48 2.0l 4-cyclinder Hybrid
It is now 650whp with no nitrous on this new setup running our Top Mount Turbo Kit & our custom Fuel System.
Turbo still has room for more as well as the fuel system.
There is also room to adjust boost, timing, and vanos for even better performance. After this, there is also nitrous 😉.
As you can see, it is a very smooth dyno chart as we have spent tons of hours dialing in this car.
We have pushed the b48 platform and found new limits every step of the way.
Dyno Results:

@@wrth yeah i know but its the same spirit as subaru and evo. Four doors sedans with big turbos, good chassis but in a rwd. b48 is in the shadow of b58 because its easier to have big numbers with theses op's engines. It's nice to see theses type of projects in a 3 series. Imagine if they swap the gearbox with a manual one that would be sick

Impressive indeed. Do you think the balance shafts will become a factor hindering the ability to make power above 800whp ? Also are there options to get the engine to rev to 9krpm and make power gains ? I know there is room for headwork. What version of the zf8hp is in that 330e to hold the power it's making currently?
Main concern is electric side as a limiting factor. After that it will be transmission limits. GA8P75HZ is the transmission used on 330e and it shifts much slower than a regular ZF transmission. On dyno, the hybrid system limits it to rev to around 6600rpm, however on the road, it can rev out to about 8000rpm (I do have a rev limiter at 7600rpm). Hence if it was able to rev out on the dyno, it would show more power.

@@DriveDynamicsAz Based on previous data of what BBT made on a regular B48 and what we made on 330e with BBT, they were both aligned which indicated the electric motor was not adding anything. LCP maxed out the fuel system at around 505whp which is also aligned to what we made with BBT and where we saw fuel limitations as well. The turbo utilized on our top mount kit is the largest turbo anyone have used on a b48 and capable for much more power. The fuel system is also capable to support much more. On a 30i, it will make similar power, however transmission, drivetrain would be a limiting factor as the 30e transmission and drivetrain components are rated for more.

Nice build. I am currently doing a built B48 on a 530e and with every upgrade I can think of. So hoping mine reaches nice power like this. What is the top mount turbo kit model? Did you have to make a custom manifold for it to fit onto that top mount turbo?

Interesting question, based on the turbo size and the boost levels, we are suspecting the hybrid side to be adding additional load at these power levels.
