Glad to have you back, keep taking care of yourself, it's more important than our daily entertainment. That being said, your channel is on fire, literally every series is awesome rn
did you know you can click on the top of the screen to see the ring from the top? doesn t help with much but might make it clearer which way to go for more buffs in patience or smth.
You finally unlocked the Double Candle! Now the game starts to get _really_ fun, you can try all sort of wacky stuff or try to build towards certain achievements and unlocks without depending (too much) on RNG. I recommend trying to start with the crown that freezes if you have 4 items or less, and try to get as far as you can without actually picking up any items along the way unless you have a confirmed wishful path ahead. I guarantee, if you so happen to find the "drain -3 Defense per attack" or a poison dagger and focus on upping speed with stat boosts, you can kill basically anything except a couple of specific bosses, you can even kill the big guardians on Patience (even without those items you can still do it with a little bit of speed, but it'd take a lot of clicking). The best case scenario is if you find the book that lets you destroy gems and keep the stats, and then find a couple of "+1 stat per empty inventory space" to crack open, just hoard an obscene amount of soul (because you're not rolling for items along the way) and then buy basically all the legendaries in the game to pivot for any endgame broken synergy build, or use the "Upgrade" scroll to gain a massive amount of stats to kill those bosses immune to freezing.
I know people are talking about clarity, but it's only good later. You need some speed and attack to go through the enemies in early stage. If you can later get your clarity higher, that's fine. But the game is built in a way where you can even work with minus clarity. I just finished a run where I reached -112 clarity. My other stats were: 177 health, 126 attack, 130 defense, 132 speed and over 1k souls left. So yea, clarity can be important, but you can have a great run without it. If you plan on bulding it, it shouls be at later stage(I am not that experienced with the game yet to get raw numbers here and there, but if you can reach 8 attack and 9 speed for early stages, it's great, then you want to have 16 attack and 16 speed and at last you need 22 attack and 21 speed. If you were to divide the game as 3 stages, then those are good to have stats for each stage, if you can reach that, then it's nice to focus on another stats. Also sometimes you can get a scroll for just defense, hp and clarity, so you will be able to put points in different things. Stats are a bit different on monsters on higher difficulty. attack/speed: 8/11, 19/17 and 23/22 is what you would aim for on medium. If you really want another stats than attack/speed then you could probably keep speed at 16 for easy and 17 at medium. I know it's a long comment, but a lot of different people are giving their opinion and tips and I just wanted to say that it often boils down to what is your situation with items, but still it's good to have a general rule on what stats to prioritize and when. I would say 1 stage is up to level 8 if not earlier, then border between second and third stage depends on what rooms you choose, as they differ in enemies, but for boss those stats are what you would like, 21 speed puts you right above the owl, unless you go for the light ending where more enemies have 30+ speed so it doesn't matter to get it higher than 16/17 if you won't be able to go over 30. The same goes for attack, if you have some guaranteed crits, freeze etc. then your attack doesn't need to be this high. Adjusting to a situation is a key, going for clarity all the time, especially early in the game, just because people say that clarity is great, can often lead to a disaster, because you will lack other stats needed for certain stage of the game. Anyway, you did great in this episode, congrats on your run.
It's over He lost all those times and said all those things about the game being stupid hard just to play with us! It was aaaaaall about the content! HE IS CRACKED IT'S OVER
I honestly don’t think they’re very good with the current unlocks I have. There may be strong poison builds but something adding two poison may be good early but late game it’s not saving you hits on enemies.
@@OlexaYT Sure, but for example, you encountered 2 poison books this run. One adds 4 poison and the other adds 6 by base (3x2). That's 10 and 21 damage respectively. What's really good about them is that using a spell doesn't incite a counterattack, so you can just apply that poison to an enemy and kinda wait it out, when the situation allows it of course Edit: So some math on that +4 poison sword. Like before, 4 poison by itself is max 10 damage. If you attack an enemy twice (since of the more tanky enemies both defense and health wise), that poison damage goes from 10 to 32. If you were to, say, pair it with the Plague spell, you'd deal your damage plus 4 from poison, then turn the remaining poison from 3 to 12. That's 43 damage just by passing three turns, and caps out at 78. Tl;dr: A poison build doesn't always require a whole array of items, sometimes just a couple decent ones combine explosively
@@OlexaYTthe issue is that you were looking at raw stats, yes you lost 5 attack, but 4 poison is actually a plus 10 attack base, and the more attacks the worse it gets, if you have only a stats item and an item adds poison, no matter the build it will almost always be a good idea
Oh no! I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. Please try to rest up when you can ^_^ Edit: The "Wait a Turn" book is pretty solid choice to be honest. You can force a turn to happen once per 2 turns, letting Beads come up to you, or delay a turn to prime a Bead to explode. Has a few other applications to it as well.
It appears you are hitting the skip button on the unlocks. i remember you mentioning unlocking multiple items and only seeing one unlock a couple episodes ago and just noticed there are two buttons at the bottom. Maybe pressing the Okay button shows the other unlocks? I've not played nor do i own this game, so this is merely conjecture from watching your videos.
I'm going to say this to you mate, you are sleeping on poison, 4 poison means that after hit you can deal 9 damage for free and most of a time you can kite enemies after a hit, and with higher poison this only scales exponentially
Its shocking how you seem not to pay attention to the options you get sometimes when choosing 😅 with a crit focused build not taking the crit do 3x dmg was a hard miss
Olexa This run is amazing but for the love of everything please stop pressing the skip arrow when your looking at stuff you unlocked at the end of the run

I'm just looking forward to him unlocking my favourite candle cuz I'm convinced he'll hate it so much

No way Olexa will unlock the inverted candle
I love the classical "I think this item is good but I can get better", which results in a lot of souls spent for a worse item 75% of the time.
