I think it's supposed to resemble a head moving rather than a light that follows your eyesight. Definitely satisfying seeing it work like this.

Relatable.
I recall the developer said (it's just one guy making this after all), that multiplayer wasn't planned, but not ruled out either. Maybe the homepage belonging to the game would have some better info.

No, the game is singleplayer and the Dev will prioritize that, which makes me happy since so many survival games keep focusing on PvP or "it's better when you have friends playing it with you" or being multiplayer only
Though of course, maybe the Dev will add it once the game is finished
