Not wrong, hope this makes bank, and he can start his own company and self publish without the constraints of publishers like Larian studios.
For one guy this is pretty insane.
He is also ex career military. Which in Finland means he has pretty extensive leadership training. Meaning if he ever starts a proper dev team, he knows how to lead one properly.
The fact that his was remade in Godot still makes me speechless.

The graphics look quite bad because of godot. He needs to change to unity or unreal to get better result.

I used to be absolutely in love with this game and had 20 hours in the demo. Post the swap to godot and ive barely even touched it

It looks great to me and the overwhelming majority of people seem to agree. We're going to buy this game because it's shaping up to be a great game, not because of engine XYZ. The game was originally started in Unity before the dev switched over. It looks identical, and the assets are the same.
I dont usually stroke creators ego like the vast majority of commenters, but your pace and openess is second to none and your passion surely shows. Youre going places, man.
As a solo game dev myself who is working on an open world game, I can't help but notice how much efforts you have put into this game, from art to sounds to animations to UI, everything speaks volumes about how creative the developer is. And the Guitar 🎸is just a cherry on top! Sweet! 👌

I've only spent a few mins in demo2 so far but I have to say, this game is gorgeous! The weapons feel very, very nice. Walking and moving feels very polished. You can feel an exceptional level of love has gone into the environment through the crazy attention to detail. Can't wait to play through it fully this weekend. Keep up the great work!
Insane how far you have came with this project. even the drawback with unity didn't stop you and quickly caught up with the process with the project. Can't wait to buy Road to Vostok

A bit of feedback from my intial impressions in no particular order:
- The movement feels a bit floaty, the character's acceleration should maybe be faster.
- The maps are tiny. I understand that creating a huge world isn't feasible, but I feel like the maps should be bigger to accomodate more gameplay variety.
- The AI is incredibly simple, and it would be nice to get more varied and challening encounters.
- The objective of getting to Vostok should be more incentivized, challenging, and satisfying to complete. Now it just feels like walking into any other map.
- Loot feels very random. Enemies don't carry much gear at all besides their weapon, and trashbags seem to hold just as much good loot as big crates.
- Audio needs polish. More ambient sounds would be really nice, and polishing things the radio and campfire audio to a more immersive level would be nice.
- The trader's location is strange. It's right next to my hideout which I expect to be, well, hidden, and he's standing very exposed to a village full of bandits.
- Buildings/roads/fences being perfectly straight and aligned to 90 degree increments makes the maps feel artificial.
- The inventory UX needs work. The toggle for tooltips is very unintuitive, and I think (smaller?) tooltips should be enabled by default.
Those are my biggest criticisms, hope it helps! I really like where the project is headed and I'm excited to see more!
Considering the Village map in the Demo 1 was much larger, and this appears as a cut part of it in Demo 2, I would like to believe other maps are demo versions as well.

Incredibly smooth and detailed weapon animations, along with crisp player interactions is a good sign that this could be an amazing game. It's also great to see the dev always keeping everyone in the loop, with how it's all going. Bigger devs should learn from this.

I think it would be beautiful if there was a temperature gauge in your hud, it would make hiding out in abandoned houses while it’s raining feel so cool, or give more purpose to campfires. maybe you could flip up a rain jacket hood when it gets real stormy and you’d hear the sound of rain on your hood while you make your way through a thick forest
I think there is a temp meter for your character, but for some reason, I have never seen it dip below 100. Maybe it's not implemented yet...
There are companies who shamelessly sold this lvl of progress already then abandoned it soon later. Your dedication is impressive bro, I wish you luck!

wow, this has come so far already! love keeping up with your work.
First off, I love the project as someone who is a fan of STALKER, tarkov and other fps games I have my fair share of experience. I enjoyed playing your game and would love to give my feed back. Here is my break down of the game from playing it for a bit. A lot of it is constructive things to add, what you have done so far is great and I understand that a lot of this you are going to add but just haven't yet.
UI
- This is obviously a work in progress so the clunkyness is understandable
- Being able to auto equip/ double click to equip for equipment is a must
- A quick use bar of some variety is nice especially when medding in combat
- Controls were a bit confusing, middle mouse as an interact is quite odd I would recommend having the default be E or F as it is far more common
- Important things like Health should be more visible and other stuff like temp can be smaller or moved to the tab menu
GUN and GUNPLAY
- The models are amazing, good work!
- Love the inspect to mode feature
- Beefier is better, make the gun sounds chunkier and the the recoil a bit more jumpy, STALKER Anomaly does it well
- When you gun is lowered if you left click it should raise it so you can easily hip fire in a panic
- You couldn't reload the shotgun or mosin
GAMEPLAY
- Graphics are great
- Give the game context when you get around to it with a cut scene or something to give the player a bit of direction
- When I died I lost all my stuff but I could never get it back and some of the places I had looted had no loot, this was rather frustrating and kind of soft locked me
- Trading didn't give money
- Enemies should always drop some loot even if it is useless
- Muzzle flash is important for enemies to have
- Chatter of people/enemies, its always a good time when you get sworn at in Finnish/Swedish
- More world interaction feedback, like animations for opening cupboards
- Have a safe place for the player to trade and interact, as I got shot at while trying to trade
- More feedback for when you get hit, eg heavy breathing and ugh sound

Great job keep it up. And a warning DO NOT waste too much time working on graphics and animation it would be nice to see, but focus on the core game.

This is incredible, with that siad, I would really like to see inventory items take up more than just single slots. Inventory tetris is a good mechanic.

holy smokes you really did a great job with this and I'm very excited to play the full game. I check the game month to month but this last update is packed with interesting details. last time i played it had no transitions and was just the village area. This free demo is better than most early access games in my library. Love what you did with the recoil and weapon handling. incoming gunshots sound great, i can pin point where the shots are coming from. keep up the great work and thanks.
I just tried the demo today. And so far I love it. Especially the fact that every door I've come across so far and every container has been able to be opened and searched. Small detail but at some point probably way later i hope you can get actual (public domain) vhs for your tv at the base. I love little stuff like that. Seeing some super old Russian cartoons or something would be super cool imo. Great job, I will definitely be getting this when it is available.
