Q: Where can I get Driver: San Francisco?
A: It is no longer sold digitally in any official capacity, so you must find key resellers or retail copy. Unfortunately the most typical way you have to obtain it now is simply pirating it.
Q: Is this mod available on PS3 or 360?
A: No, the mod is PC only as of right now.
Q: I have run into issue x, what do I do?
A: Post the Driver.log from the main game folder either at Driver Madness Disccord's help channel, or on the ModDB page for the mod, or my private messages there. Also explain what lead up to the issue, especially if you don't have any logs available.
Q: What can I expect from the Driver Madness Discord?
A: You'll find channels for Driver (duh), or more general related things, dedicated sections for the fan game The Driver Syndicate, as well as reverse engineering efforts like ReDriver2 or OpenDriver. There's often something going on and I hope you'll like your stay!

This feels like a official DLC, amazing work. Fixes one of the biggest complains I had with Driver SF, the completely lack of a Felony system.

@@jamil027 You'll be very surprised to find out it is! Third party, but it works. Check out Alcatraz for DSF, a custom online service for it.
The fact they managed to get licenced vehicles for this game along with the damage physics was amazing for the time. Wish we could have something like now on next gen.
Holy crap, this is bringing back some memories. I never knew that Driver: SF even _could_ be modded, let alone that you're able to add in whole-ass gameplay changes like this. And they honestly seem like more than a simple gimmick, and a nice way of changing up the post-endgame 100% runthroughs beyond just fast-travelling to every movie chase and car challenge.
This might well be enough to persuade me to go for another playthrough, thanks!

I wasn't quite certain either when I started off, just how easy it would be (it wasn't, I didn't know LUA at all), but we made it anyway.

A neat feature idea. When you decide to stop and pay the fine the camera should change to the cop car's dashcam. Like it does in Midnight Club LA.
Ha, I thought something like that'd be fun, but not as feasible since you're in full control and we can't pre-place cars on side of the road. :(

Just downloaded it, it works great! The car chases really have been accentuaded with the work you've been able to put into this (I also installed the Stimulus Package and the Mod Menu) but I think I found the first bug; during the first cop police drug bust where you have to hit a series of boxes and then destroy 3 trucks, Tanner's Challenger spawn instead of the trucks w/floating boxes and also spawn instead of the parked boxed trucks in the alleys too.
That sounds like an older version of the mod; Stimulus Package doesn't need seperate installation and is provided as is with Felony Rework together, these days.
I'll be sure to look into the issue of the Tanner Challenger showing up regardless, that issue in particular, was the target of elimination in 2.3, hopefully one hasn't slipped thru the cracks. 😅

This is absolutely incredible. Gives me a new way to experience a game I completed so many times before. Also, I was wondering whether messing around with traffic settings is possible. A core memory I had were the sequences of the completely empty city and a dark sky in some story missions. I wonder if it's possible to pull that off.
Snoopii's mod menu allows you to change traffic settings and a lot more.

I hope the "prove it" song can play as well. I really like when music is done really well in games, im not sure but im hoping when a nightmare starts the music would go silent until 30 seconds pass, which probably when tanner start understanding whats happening
It's currently not on the list. It lacked both suspense and pace.
Nightmares are currently music free to allow you to completely soak in the atmosphere. Am considering some tracks in some specific nightmares.

for the next update, how about cop cars get skins, for example a skin that makes them have the same paintjob and markings as the Dodge Monaco police car, these variants can appear alongside the dodges in the movie missions (i forgot what they're called) and etc. it's okay if this is not possible/would take alot of effort/would be buggy, that was just a pitch. keep up 👍
Hey man really miss the GTA V videos also have you seen the EUP peds mod by the creator of eup basically taking the mp eup characters and making them into peds they also have heads from things like the cayo perico guards and stuff.Keep it up love it.❤

I played nfs (mainly black box era), tdu 1, burnout, and a few other games , but driver sf is probably the best racing game. S tier indeed. I would love to see an updated version with an expanded map and car list, along with the mod in this video.
This is really cool to see, i played this game a ton when i was younger and was so sad to hear about it being delisted thanks to nick robinsons video on it, surprised to see a modding scene for the game, i did some searching into ways i may be able to actually plsy the game and i was wondering if your mod would work for pirated repacks of the game as that seems like the only way i can get my hands on it now
As long as the version is 1.04 (DNGHook requirement) it should, assuming cracks and such don't somehow cause issues.
I only played the demo back in the day, didn't realize this game had such good damage models with real cars.

You can if you are out of sight (losing the police)
@@Olanov i know but can you make an extra option for garages repair during pursuit in the configurations?
@@acoolbug.8236 It does work during pursuit, just not when they actively "see" you. I don't have plans to currently change that as It's part of the general balance for the getaway system.

Damn, I should’ve watched this video before installing the mod. I knew about felony rework for some time, I just didn’t know that a new version with nightmare mode is coming out. I swear the first time the nightmare mode happened I thought my game is being possessed by a demon or something 😂

This mod is so high effort my god.
i think you should've added a toggle menu for the features, because there are some features I really like and some i don't, this would not only help it be compatible with 70's traffic mod but will be more user friendly.
That wouldn't make it compatible with the 70's traffic mod unfortunately.
The mod itself already has a config which you can tweak, its changes take effect every time you go through the main menu, whether starting fresh or going back to it.
DSF uses menumasters which means we cannot add custom UI elements at all and have to work with what the game has to offer. As such I've made the decision to not include anything with a scroll menu as that would render it unusable with Snoopii's mod menu, which uses this system.

Goddamn, this game was fantastic back in the day, i gotta get my hands on that.
Driv3r was the best. Had so much fun on it.
good mod overall although cops can still seem a bit easy to me. However, during boot sequence of Driver SF, i have a fatal error of NGHook sometimes ending me up easily with 20 dmp files. Moreover, i can lose focus on current car, no longer being able to use shift, obliging me to restart game while praying for not having any crash during startup sequence. Aside from that and as i said earlier, i'm having fun and appears as a new experience.
I played Driver 1 and Driver 2, but never played Driver San Francisco before... so after this video i seriosly wanna play vanilla Driver San Francisco, things happen.
5:03 so there is no felony level at all? i made few tests and as i observed AI police gets more offensive with time passed, also armoured trucks arrive later than civilian cop cars or SUVs. they are far more dangerous to themselfes and innocent traffic tho, pure madness. and the allied player of course. great mod anyway, something big i missed back in the day on x360, like 10 years ago
Yes, this is the case. When you chase NPC's it's completely static progression-wise. The armoured trucks and Corvettes are all RNG based in them currently, same as roadblocks and their tactics. Thank you for the praise, though!
I had no idea this game was even playable. Steam store page was removed and the game won't even launch when I tried it like 6 months ago

This is very amazing... having Driver San Fransisco pursuit system in the same level as Need for Speed really what should the game needs. Although i also hope its not too hard and has balancing since Driver SF handling is not high speed arcade like NFS

Imagine this into a multiplayer mode, with a runaway player that each team he will provoke the police, will give an opportunity for a police player to join in and start a chase, that would be awesome
