It would be really neat to see the fuel usage difference between the 98cc doing 50mph and a 212cc doing the same speed on the same bike. Just pour a metered amount of fuel into the tank, top out for a solid minute (if you can), shut down, empty gas tank, and measure the amount of fuel left.
I hit 50 tonight trust me it’s not that different from 38 but it had more to go 😅 I gotta keep testing just curious what some springs and billet rod would do
@gregstimple8678 I broke the rod in mine after about 2 years of hard riding I'm talking full throttle for 20 min straight 100s of times I missed a few oil changes was the real problem Valvoline high zinc us the only thing I run
@gregstimple8678 they say they are rated for "10k" I never had any problems with it motor would hit 6500 rpm my old non hemi predator I ran for 2 years with stock flywheel governor removed oil scoop on rod tends to break way before flywheel main thing I'd say is if your going to remove the governor just build it while you have it apart or count to 10 let off a good tac cost $20
I have a mm80 with the 98cc, with custom mods I’ve made myself, mine did 38 stock, but with the stuff I made I squeezed alittle more out of it. Does 45. Has a ton of low end power.
Nice build, do you have any experience with the Lifan 118 cc engine? Got one for my son’s doodle bug build and it’s a nice balance between the predator 212 and the 98cc that came on the doodle bug. I guess it’s a GX120 clone but I haven’t been able to find out much about it as far as what parts will fit on it for mods…..love the channel!

Another great video, I have a header pipe for my mega moto 212 pro. I’d like to use it on my stock Honda gx160 engine, you think I should use it or will it hurt a stock application? I’m so tempted to using it.
So I was wondering what size sprocket I should get for my ct100u with a predator 212. It has a stage 1 kit and a 12t clutch with a 60t rear sprocket paired with a 420 chain. I wanna go smaller on my sprocket all though the torque is amazing I think I would benefit from more top end.

Can you add a link to that slide carb please? Im building on the same 98 from gopowersports and the bolt holes are 36.5mm apart, not the regular 48 and im having the hardest time find one!!! Also, the manifold if you could please.

@@koopsta69 Actually more than that because you have to have a core out of a Predator. You cant use the nylon core out of the 98cc. Unless of coarse you already have a 79cc cam lying around to trade in for the core.

I just want to say that the kei hin carbs off the honda atc200 are excellent on these engines. No one seems to use them unlike the mikuni.

I did custom head and cam with exhaust and intake. Put mine on the Phatmoto. Moves nicely now.

Once I got the string tangled and thought I was going to have to pull the head .

Your fine as long as you dont keep your motor pinned for long. Running a performance carb is also fine on a stock block.

The very first thing I would do with that engine is take 40-50 thou off the head. They need more compression.
