I balled my eyes off!. thanks to all participants. Song sung so well, very well. I think, how about you. I will be sharing this forever. Wow still blown away! ✌
This is the best version of Uncle John's Band I've ever heard. Not the best cover, the best version. And that includes - I'll probably be burned at the stake for saying this - the Dead themselves. (Forgive me, Jerry for I have sinned!). Truly amazing!
Beautiful in every way and I cried the whole way through. Wonderful collaboration, the kind we need more of in this world - thank you!!!❤ The memories I have of the Dead and their music and all those shows will stay w me forever. I think Jerry would love this, and I’m sure Bobby and the rest of the entire crew would, too. Just beautiful!!!🥰
Goddamn, well I declare this is one of the best covers of any song I’ve heard. And such a difficult song to sing and harmonize. Brilliant work! And kudos to whoever mixed this.
I forgot this song completely. Warped back in time when driving my old mb 406 down the greece coast with friends. Great cover, in my view better as gd. What a gift . Thank you.
I just listened to this, ... amazing. Art in exchange for art: I'm driving up to Reno, dangerously before midnight, running moonshine from the setting sun.......between the pearly blue sky, and the smokey pines, the jagged peroxide-pure white teeth of the Sierra wearing snow.......And below, the gold-bearing wedding bands of weathered mantles, soil the color of an Irish Setter, betrothed to the climate at 6000 feet. CRV like the grasshopper flying. The road ground up with chains of fourteen wheelers bearing the shackles of bondage. Asphalt rutted not with plowshares, but with Marly's ghost melting................................................... Ascent has its limits, my angel wings tired, I'm falling, so unlike Icarus, ...in love. Is it not the way of gravity?............................Jerry Qualls
I hear you. I'm losing a musician friend right now. Tears for him and the loss of the magic that was made seeing him across the stage with him smiling back. I've played music for most of my 70 years of my life and I am saddened by the loss of close musician friends. But then I how could you know the sadness and loss without sharing the joy and bond of the brother and sisterhood that we held?
.....OMG.... LOVE this, got choked up.... love everyone in this, what a vibe.... musically superb, emotionally moving to see the generations grooving together... thanks....
That really brief period where the pandemic forced all the normal loving people onto the internet to live together was one of the best periods of human life.
My brothers are ardent fans of the Dead. I really never listened to them, but the cover of this song is amazing. Thanks for getting me interested in the Dead again.
This is a magical song - and this is a truly magical cover - the angelic blend of voices and lilting rhythm really bring out the spiritual dimension of the lyrics - the joy of the performers was palpable. I'm a 200+ show Deadhead - from all the way back to the Haight - and I'm pretty sure this is the best and most uplifting cover of one of my all-time favorite songs ever - it drew sweet tears from the gate. Thanks so much to everyone who participated!
This is one of my favorite things I've seen in ages. The smile on my face just kept getting bigger and bigger. I don't consider myself a "deadhead" but I understand this song, and therefore the band, in a whole new way now. Hats off to the family band!
I'm sure glad that I came across ... . This Family Band does a majical performance Makes me feel like flying my freedom freak flag high in the wind 👍😁✌.... Thanks Y'all !!!💫
Bravissimo! My only complaint is that the high hat was left open too much. Should be staccato. Oh, and the ride cymbal should also have less sustain in certain parts.
This made me smile, and cry. Amazing.
I balled my eyes off!. thanks to all participants. Song sung so well, very well. I think, how about you. I will be sharing this forever. Wow still blown away! ✌
Bawled.
The only thing that compares to the Boys is people who love and honor ‘em. Thank you.
I would love a giant tree in my backyard, and I love you all!
Reminds me of my son when he was five.
So positive so beautiful. Thanx thanx thanx
