- In this video I am going to show you how to get rid of default black icons on Autel MaxiCOM MK908. I am not sure if the same procedure works on other Autel Devices, so do it on your own risk. If you own different Autel device, you might want to try the previous process explained in several other videos...

@@arcgarage well it doesn't seem to work for all of them. I have tried to change all the logos for the USA vehicles but they don't change over. The black ones still remain. Do you have any idea why please? I've been able to replace most of the China category logos (except a couple that won't change). I've not tried any of the european ones yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I've just tried the Aston Martin one, as per your video, and that worked ok. Just can't seem to change them all. I'm making sure all files are named correctly too !
@@HARRYSPADGE Yes, make sure all the files are named correctly, if that doesn't work, try the conventional way... you got multiple videos on it...
@@arcgarage I figured it out. you have to replace the logos as per your video. You also have to replace the logos in the scan/vehicle/asia/domestic/europe/USA folders. Some of these folders already have the correct logo images in them which is why some of the logos work as soon as you replace the logos as described in your video. However, lots of them have the basic black logos and the diagnsotic program reads this rather than the logos you are showing to replace. So you have to do them all twice. Sounds complicated but it isn't, just very time consuming !

didnt have any of the coloured logos there so i didnt want to risk screwing it up, if anyone knows how to add them let me know
Hi im thinking of buying one of these scanners, Does it read fault codes on ABS an Airbag systems?
Yes, it can basically read all of the modules on the car... I am actually going to do a review on the device in a few days.
@@arcgarage So it reads the modules on the car an if theres a fault with the Airbag or Abs system it will read it, that would be great if you could a review on it. I'll subscribe an keep an eye out

Unfortunately the majority of the original manufacturer logos have been stripped out & replaced with black & white ones now. Is there any way of downloading them?
They actually did that on purpose now that they got more popular. I'll Check it out and let you know if I find something... However, if you backed up your device, you got icons in the backup files for each manufacturer...
@@arcgarage That's appreciated thanks. I backup the System regularly when I download & install the updates. However very few manufacturer folders have been saved. Not sure why?
@@jchisholm1968 When you back up your files make sure you do the full backup of the Scan folder, and it would be good if you kept the first backup you did on your device, since it will have all the original icons that came with tool...
@@arcgarageI checked & unfortunately they were not backed up. So it looks like I'm stuck with Black & White icons for now. But thanks anyway!

When I go to scan/vehicle/country/maker my car.png is a standard black logo

Autel MaxiCOM MK808BT cover Chinese cars, Geely, and succession or not?
Check out their website. I think they cover Chinese cars, but I am not sure. I have tested it on most European and American cars...
Some of the logos go back to the originals often and I have to do it again
After you do an update logos go back to black, that is one of the things I don't like about the device...
prob is with updates with Autel doing them so often the icons always revert back once you update that maker, making it a complete waste of time.
Yes, and it is an easy fix for them, but they won't do it...
ARC Garage nope now that they gotten so big they are worried about being sued. Shame, real shame the basic ones are ugly

I try in my tool (Autel MaxiCOM MK908P ), only for tata brand logo and dont work...
I try 1st change it and rename for tata logo then delet all "PNG" logos but still same...
and now dont se the brand logo on diagnóstic system...
can you help restore the system and change the logo?...

Did you back up your diagnostic tool? If not, you can't restore it yourself, you need to contact the Autel... If you only deleted the PNG file, you just need to create a new one under the same name... Copy any icon, paste it and rename it after the original file, and you're done.

@@arcgarage I did all that and dont work...
se:
1- I copy the simbol on tata past on all images png and reboot system (dont did noting and dont have tata on diagnostics)
2 - copy again other simbol "tata" that as on tata folder ther paste and rename it for same name on all images "tata.png" then reboot ---> same staus, dont have tata on diagnostics system!...
3- leave "tata.png" on all images, and delet all "png" files and rename tata.png for only car.png...
reboot, same status... dont have tata on the system...
...Then I contact you if you have any way to restore or fix this
