I've had plenty of both, but I prefer relationship sex over transactional sex, at least when the relationship is fresh. 68yo guy here. I was 32 years in 3 relationships and 7 years trolling the dating/hook-up sites vigorously. Mostly retired now, though. Nothing beats relationship sex when you're both completely into it together. I wasn't a complete man when I trolled. A part of me was lost. It just wasn't right, and I'm very happy I came to my senses. I am now in the best shape of my life, physically and emotionally and mentally!! I'm finally ready for some of that soul feeding relationship sex and to spend the next 40 years of my life with a real, true and beautiful woman!
I have to agree with her and you. I'm sure it is easier for some guys because our procreative differences but I think it just makes it slower to reach emotional downsides for a guy. I can't comment on your second question. This topic is just one of those things that people who believe either side will have to agree to disagree. Speaking to her last comment about the dating pool, being a 32yo male who is a virgin with no relationship experience I find it impossible to find someone looking for monogamy, which has undoubtedly saved me heartache. Which is why I choose to leave up meeting a potential date to people I meet in real life only and just worry about my finances so I can settle down when that time comes. It's either going to get better or worse so I'm planning for the worse and hoping for the best.
Even though I’m an older man I know how much better sex is when you really care for or love your partner…And to this day, even at my age, I find it hard to understand why some women can’t differentiate between dating and casual sex….Over the years I’ve had too many women tell me that they “dated” this guy and “dated” and “dated” many men without any serious relationships or commitment from them…. To me, and most men, the word “dating” means very little and is almost synonymous with casual sex….Because nothing ever came from these guys she “dated.” I believe many women use the term “dating” and relationship as the same thing and they’re just not!!!! A man will “date” a woman forever as long as he can get the sexual benefits without any commitment!!!! I’m not judging women but I’m simply being honest…..Because I know how men think!!!!!

Transactional sex psychologically derails women. Relational sex provides that psychological bond they really do need. The oxytocin release thing. I was pretty transactional before I connected with my wife. I think it had a lot to do with being raised by a mother who couldn't properly handle her husband falling out of love with her. Her sadness and sorry turned into rage and anger. I'm not condemning her or judging her because that is quite a bit to deal with but I grew up not knowing what a normal relationship between a couple. The me from 13 to 20 it was almost like the more casual the sex the better but I grew to value sex as a deep connection. I don't want to say I felt ashamed when I turned to porn after Cheryl passed away but I didn't feel good afterword's. I know most of the women involved in it do it for all the wrong reason's and porn is as transactional as it gets. It's been over 7 years. I don't want to be alone but I'm OK with being alone if you know what I mean.
Yes you are wrong. Men who take the time to invest in a relationship and want to please the women will find the sex much better. No comparison. Because intimacy is about giving and loving opens her to give herself.
