    Actually there is nothing for the Tanzanians to be ashamed about in being unable to speak English , after all we are all proud of Kiswahili the language of the continent of Africa. English is a foreign language just like French , German and Portuguese. Long Live Kiswahili !!!!❤

      We are not ashamed of not knowing how to speak English coz we love our swahili to much and proud of it. Isn't easy for the African country with over 60 millions population to communicate with the African language but Tanzania we do that by using swahili. The othe African countries citizens are they can't understand each other in African languages so they use English, French, Portuguese or Arabic to communicate. We are far better as Africans with our African language swahili 🇹🇿

    Fun fact: The languages closest to Swahili are Comorian and Mijikenda.
    Comorian: Also known as Shikomor, this language is spoken in the Comoros Islands and Mayotte. Some consider it a dialect of Swahili, while others consider it a distinct language.
    Mijikenda: Spoken by the Mijikenda people in Kenya.

    In deed Kenyans have matured politically, you cannot fool a Kenyan.
    Kenyans are our closest brothers, we have Luo, Kurya, Maasai, MasaiMara/Serengeti, Swahili etc on both sides. They speak Swahili with swag. But they need to be humble fix bieng aggressive towards themselves and to other Eastfricans. They think that everytime they are the best among all in EA. They should also stop tribalism, A kisii, luhya, agiKuyu, Kamba, mijikenda etc should not matter in any socialpolitical arena.
    Lastly Swahili is indeed important If something is trending in Kenya socialmedia alogarithms also pushes it in Tanzania b/c of shared Swahili...e.g I am watching "Kasongo" memes right now😁. So ugandans should take note of that. Video nzuri...once again...

    Kiswahili is basically a coastal language , that's why the people or residents of Malindi , Mombasa, Tanga , Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar are speaking almost the same Kiswahili and have no problem in communication at all amongst them. Many times the only difference is that since Mwalimu Nyerere decided to Swahilinise Tanzania and make it both the national and official language and ordered the Tanzanian scholars to embark on translating English terminalogies in to Kiswahili and creating new words this enriched the Kiswahili in Tanzania to a great extent. However the Kiswahili that is being spoken in the streets of Mombasa, Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam is almost the same. Tanzanians tend to think that the Kiswahili that is being spoken in Nairobi and upcountry of Kenya is the general Kiswahili of Kenya. Indeed that's a false assumption. Nairobi is Bara , Dar es Salaam is Pwani. Kenyan Kiswahili is in Mombasa not Nairobi.

    Iam Tanzanian who live in Arusha and who visits Kenya (Nrb) regularly. I like Kenyans they are hard workers, we Tz are slow especially people from the Coast. However, i think we have similar culture as East Africans. Tanzania speak good kiswahili and kenya are good in English. Also Tanzania have better food ( biriani ya Tz haina upinzani etc). Tz, Kenya and Uganda are same people i can say like 80% or more.

    The first guy you started with really doesn't seem to know much about Kenya , whatever he knows is very limited. Himself he is assuming that because Tanzania has embraced Kiswahili so much so there is no any other country in East Africa that speaks good Kiswahili. That indeed is a very misinformed perception. First he doesn't understand the history of Kiswahili language. If you go to Tanzania you will realize that it is just an assumption that all Tanzanians are able to speak good Kiswahili , in fact alot of Tanzanians are not speaking good Kiswahili even in the streets of Dar es Salaam despite the efforts their government has put in enforcing Kiswahili in all educational institutions and in government offices. In Dar es Salaam the Kiswahili is very much affected by latters "r" and "l". Where there's "r" they pronounce "l" and where there is "l" they pronounce" r". Also in the Kiswahili of Dar es Salaam they say the English words like for example to say " I expect " they say "Nategemea" instead of "Nataraji or Natarajia". Intead of saying "Afadhali" they say " Bora" . Actually Nategemea is to "Depend on" and "Bora " means Better or Best . You see ?

      I agree with you..but you guys what is wrong your tongues? What is so difficult to pronounce some words properly for example "Tume ya IEBC" someone says "Tume ya IEMBIC", Simple word "Jogoo" someone will say "Jongoo" its like your tongues need to be greased😂

    • @jimmyodari5487
      @jimmyodari5487 17 днів тому

      @NPY2024 that's not true for all Kenyans , most Kenyans are able to speak good grammar and pronunciation. Ukimpata mKenya anaetamka Jongoo badala ya Jogoo basi fahamu kuwa hiyo ni athari ya lugha za mikowani. Lakini pia "Jogoo" ni Kuku wa kiume aliyekomaa na "Jongoo" ni mdudu mweusi mwenye miguu mingi sana anaetambaa ardhini

    I'm sorry to say that the first person is very much primitive and unexposed. You can not say that you do not understand Kenyans when they speak swahili. Ati Kenyans do not speak kiswahili. Kiswahili chenu watanzania ni kibovu mwanzo lakini hampendi kuamini. Mkenya akizungumza sheng haimaanishi ati hajui kiswahili. He must understand that Kenya has different accents. He can not say that the Kenyan coastal people do not know kiswahili just because their accent is different from theirs. He seems to be hard headed. Ni chaguo la kila mmoja kuzungumza lugha anayo ipenda. Watanzania ni ndugu zetu.

    Tanzanians should never accuse Kenyans of not knowing Swahili. If we were to take an exam today, most of your average Tanzanians will fail, SPECTACULARLY. They fail to take into consideration lafudhi, lahaja and all that comes with the two. Actually, most Tanzanians only speak Swahili that has a Swahili accent to it. Just that. If you start examining their Swahili properly, very few pass the test. For instance, your average Tanzanian cannot pronounce R properly in most words that require a proper intonation. I could go on until tomorrow, but that is just the basic part of it.
