In November 2023, an article from Insider Gaming, based on a report by Jason Schreier, contradicted claims made by Jeff Grubb that Knights of The Old Republic Remake was not currently in development. Schreier tweeted that although it's uncertain if the KOTOR remake will ever be released, two sources from Saber Interactive confirmed they are still working on it, despite rumors suggesting otherwise. Last year, Saber Interactive took over the project from Aspyr, as previously reported by Bloomberg.
