The ultra auto cannons are good, just only for skirmish strategies where you pop up, do a ton of burst damage, and then melt away. Ultra auto cannons sacrifice long term DPS for short term burst damage. This is great for a shadow cat with the mobility and jump jets to engage and disengage quickly, it's not so great for a direwolf with so little mobility that it needs to just keep firing until the wave of enemies is dead.
Continuous firing isn't a problem because the ACs generate very little heat. You just melt enemies. The only problem is having to stare straight at the enemy which tends to get your CT destroyed first.
@@cecilofs continuous is ok on lower calibers like AC2 and AC5. On things like UAC20 sending 3-4 shots in a burst is totally busted. Both Warhawk with 2 UAC20 and Dire wolf with 4 UAC 10 can core an assault before jam.
Well its like in real life, a barrel overfirering will get hot and not let all the bullets fly as they should, either by not fitting when loading or even getting stuck in the barrel due to mismatched tolerances... life is a bitch ;D
Autocannons range the gamut of throwing out single big rounds to an absolute storm of explosive filler. Ultra Autocannons do this using magnetic feeding to double the fire, and that is tricky. Because you're forcing huge rounds twice as fast or an absolute dakka brrt clip twicee as fast.
I love how Baradul shows just how difficult it is to tell how shitty an organization is from lower levels of leadership and how easy it is to fall into the trap of “it can be saved if I just try harder.”
It's a good showcase of how an organization's power actually ends up concentrated in the hands of a few individuals. A single squad of soldiers doesn't really have an option to improve things: they might not improve anything by staying and doing their best, but becoming traitors is even less likely to do any good. It's not a good idea for footsoldiers to try to force big changes when they don't have enough information to make the right choices.
From my experience, companies fall because they do not rid themselves of the Perez types and they also Hire them Knowing what they are like regardless. Almost as if they want to fall into ruin.
Hey Bara, build suggestion. The Dire Wolf with ALL energy weapons and stuff it with nothing but medium pulse lasers. Up to like 14 of them to be exact!!! You can even have the variant with JJ's! It's got decent enough cooling, plus you'll still have pod space and tonnage to add some more armor plates. Make the dire wolf live up to its name of "Great death" with a loadout that will tear ANYTHING apart!
Having been a Mechwarrior / Battletech fan since it first released as Battledroids, I can tell you that AC/2s are useless. Yes, they have great range and can recycle quickly. But the online game follows the tabletop rules. That means your 6xAC/2s do 12 points of damage if they all hit. Yes, you can stack that with Ultra autocannons. But they can't do near the damage as larger bore autocannons or other weapons. Do you see how long it takes for you to kill a single mech? And also that mech is way over-cooled. That being said, I love your videos. You have a great sense of humor and are very personable. You also are a good player, and I appreciate your demonstrating different builds.
Just FYI - Streak SRM 4s are superior in almost every way to Streak SRM 6 - they weigh less, have a much higher ROF, and thus higher DPS. Same for ER Small Lasers vs ER Mediums.
Why are they tearing your star apart? It's part of being a leader, people come and go. You invest in someone and develop them into something amazing, then they leave. Heavy is the head that wears the crown, no matter how much loyalty you foster people will eventually leave. It's a life lesson taught through a video game.
Also... Hear me out... LBX5s. The RoF is so fast and the spread is lower, ah they outperform LBX10s. I could make a case for them being the best ballistics. Boating 5xLBX5s leaves room for armor, ammo, and even some ERSmalls.
@Baradul There are 2 very distinct endings, and something tells me you will love the other one, if you ever get to it. The go Ezra's way ending is for spoiler reasons, the better ending imo.

Hey Bara. Sorry if it has been asked before (probably have) but, do you ever play Mechwarrior living Legends? I have only found one other UA-camr that makes living legends videos, that I like to watch and would love to see some more players in the battles. And I am still looking forward to see a mech with continuous lasers and the heat mangement to run them effectively :p
I really feel that given the complexity of the UI and the notification system, the mech lab, and the menu navigation, the dev team did a wonderful job with this game. The gameplay is fun and challenging. It's not a choose-your-own-adventure branching system like Baldur's Gate 3, but then you are just playing a storyline that is already lore, for the most part. There may have been opportunity for that, though, depending on how "tucked into" the lore the story is, but that would add a lot more complexity and stability issues. I very much enjoy this game as is.
There's definitely quite a large number of minor bugs and glitches with the game but thankfully most of them aren't unavoidably game-breaking. I did have one instance where all my pulse lasers visually disappeared and another where I broke the mission by pushing the enemies and destroying targets before they were "marked for destruction" by the mission. Normal AC2s should be able to fire faster. They can’t be much more than 20mm, and modern AFVs can fire those like an assault rifle. Also, did they expect you not to headshot the Annihilator when they drop it right in front of you? They totally needed dialogue for “oops, you evaporated they pilot in the middle of his speech”.

I guess one shotting cabins from across the map further than any other weapon and more powerful the only problem is you have to have skill to use it so you have the skill of a real mechwarrior or are you just a freebirth
those are some really beefy sounding lbx 10s
bit disappointed with how gaussrifles are implemented audio/visualvise
Yea, thats why i hate UAC's in MW on ballistic only builds. I hate waiting to unjam. I much prefer good ol LB-X, nothing speaks louder than buckshot the size of a motorcycle.
I played that mission today and had no sound either
Why you so against the best ballistic in the group the gauss
lol, definitely didn't think he would side with the clans, atleast not first pick.
...they way the choice is put before you is not fitting with the story afterwards... I thought I picked to fight for whats right even with Mias choice first...
So far I’m digging the Writing… I’m really Hopeful they Stick The Landing!
I’ve added CLANS to my Wishlist… and hope Black Friday will be good to us…
I hope you are okay, Baradul. In the last few videos your eyes and nose have been red...
15:12 Is it just me or do your AI team mates bunch up around you most of the time?
Honestly, choosing Smoke Jaguar clans is... an overall poor choice.
The only thing that saved Jayden is the convenient coming of his superior, but otherwise Perez got away with the destruction of whole cities. The guys are just crazies.
it hurts when you PPC ... what ?!
as for the storyline splitting and reforming ... yes .. you do meet Ezra again ... or the otherway Mia ... but they are on the other side ...
Everybody hates smoked jaguars, lol
Honestly, who wouldn't, at this point?
Funny how most of the BT community only likes Clanners that are either Freebirths or IS sympathizers.
They are the worst clan after all. And no this isn’t because of the game, they really are the worst clan.
@johnpine5171 bc its smoked jaguars, everything is can be even worse, in any situation, lol
Of course, they’re only mildly less evil than ComStar!!
You can't out fox ComStar
Make a Roguetech Video plss
DWF prime arms have only 68 points of armor, there are better options and yet U chose the prime variant arm and did not install any extra armor, wow.
Just goes to show, it's better to listen to something Better Than Ezra, then it's Good.
(sorry, I had to)
Normal AC2s should be able to fire faster. They can’t be much more than 20mm, and modern AFVs can fire those like an assault rifle.
Also, did they expect you not to headshot the Annihilator when they drop it right in front of you? They totally needed dialogue for “oops, you evaporated they pilot in the middle of his speech”.
MAGA Make America Godly Again...
I was having a great time with this game until I got to the "Crater Investigation" mission. I am stuck here. By the time the drop ship is neutralized my star is virtually decimated and the gets finished off by the mechs the end. Which episode is that battle in? I'd like to see how it is done.
Thanks.
I love the dire wolf in clans. at the end of the game I ran 4 wolf's with varied loadouts. The uac versions I found weren't that great. I ran one with 4 uac 10's and it was kind of a pooper. my best two ran lbxs and medium pulse and er mediums. My favortite was 2 lbx 10 one Lbx 20, 6 medium pulse. I ran full amor pods on all of them. My other favorite ran 3 gauss rifles and er mediums.
And you just killed everyone for picking the worst clan.
seriously don't waste you're time.... this game is crap, the Lance mates will not shut up and scanning crap totally sucks ducks.the enemy ai is terrible.why can't they just make mw4 mercs with updated graphics, pop tarting, nova cats and mw4 jump jet physics, arm swing crouch/jump, calliope turrets, drop ships with brutal weapons and long range sensors, adding masc, all the mektek mechs, ability to use mods others make, the map/mission editor but use far cry 4 for terrain and destructible environments, borrow the scripting from destiny 1 for the enemy ai and the rail gun from quake arena, options to play nh/ua, ability to dfa mechs/enemy assets, different armor types and quirks and be able to distribute the armor on the mech as seen fit.
give us Long Tom's (including all sub types)and Thunder bolt's and arrow 4s(including all sub types),mw4 mercs artillery beacons, splash damage with terrain cratering from the explosions and possibility for ammo cooking off and according damage to internal components and sensors.lets include perks and quirks that are mech and weapon specific, camouflage that actually makes it possible to confuse sensors and sight. give some mechs melee/shields abilities at a cost(recharge rates for melee, shield's able to absorb massive amounts of incoming weapon fire at a cost(speed or maneuverability or not be able to use jump jets) just someway to balance with pros and cons etc .give us 24vs24 team death match (with total customization),death match (attrition etc) and community interaction/development and modern tactics and integration from dcs and Arma 3.
Fool. He intended fix random killing by more random killing. He's not better than anyone, else, far to the contrary as he does not realize that he's exactly the same, only more treacheous. Zellbrigen is what makes Clans unique, discarding it is IS total war. Absolute dezgra, sacrificing multiple lives to save his, while all he had to do was to say "I don't want to do this anymore" and just fix battlemechs till the end of his days.
A great point and one I agree with. Without knowing the future of what happens in the lore (which I do but is fun to role play Jayden in the game), I would support Mia and stay with SJ clan as well. I am sympathetic to Ezra's views but his actions are without honor. Knowing the future of how everything plays out Ezra made the correct choice but that would not be clear to anyone at this point in the invasion from the clan side.
@@RahpaSmurf if mechwarrior directors had any backbone then we could have subverted the lore by winning against the odds in game
@@tlahuizcalpantecuhtli5188 I think that would start more crap with lore purists than it would be worth. The star we play in game has no established lore so perhaps they can have a "happy" ending. DLC will surely follow that could explore.
@@RahpaSmurf In setting there is a faction of elite guards for the Republic of the Sphere in the 100 years distant future called the Fidellis. They are the last smoked kitty cats.
Mia drank too much of the Clanaide. You chose the evil route I see. Yes, once you beaten the evil path, you can reload your game to that mission and go the other way for the good path. Why you no read the after mission text on the damage screen?
