Craig, you are correct about a strange phenomenon that is happening in California, people complaining about flying the American flag! People actually taking down their flags because they feel threatened or scared. It's disgusting what is happening to California. 😞 We enjoy your videos, keep 'em coming.
Glad I found your UA-cam videos! They are super helpful for anyone looking to move to idaho. We are conservatives in Colorado, law enforcement, Patriots, love our guns and yes we voted for Trump. Idaho seems like a perfect place for us to get the heck out of here. We've dealt with snow so that's no big deal but definitely looking at Southern Idaho. Northern Idaho is much too cold and too much snow. Two places were looking at is Boise and Twin Falls, but definitely need some different terrain, amenities are nice and being close to and good heathcare.
Thanks for tuning in. Boise and Twin Falls are good options. We’re helping someone right now decide between twin falls and Idaho falls. If you’d like to hop on a call to discuss I have some time in between meeting at this week. What has you considering leaving Colorado?
Great information Craig! Thanks so much. No we do fly our flags in CA both American & Trump flags. If there was ax place in CA they might not my guess wood be San Francisco but CA is actually very patriotic.
You should also mention that the Magic Valley has mild winters too. I grew up in Rexburg and we always hit 40 below at least once each year. I'm not sure if it still gets that cold. You also need a wind chill chart for the colder areas
I can tell you in Athol Idaho I can walk from my roof to the ground on the snow. Every year. That's a out thirty minutes north of CDA. Sometimes like last year it starts in September and ends in April. Other years it's November to March. Winter time it's dark at 430ish and the snow doesn't leave for at least four months. Coldest I've been in was -30 but generally it's a high of 20ish and a low of 20ish lol
You miss a lot. Where I live, in October we had an inch of snow and it was gone by noon. No snow since then. Yesterday, it was warm enough that I was burning brush. After rain for next two days, we will have sunny weather in the mid 40s' for the next 5 days, after that. My elevation in the mountains is 100 feet higher than Boise. I watch the online weather each day and we are very similar to Boise and I don't smell the Lewiston pulp mills. I only go to Lewisto for Costco and Winco. Plus I've read that the Pacific Coast climate comes up three big rivers giving us a similar climate. If it rains in Chehalis, Washington one day, we usually get that in a day or two. I'm not trying to get people to move to my area, so I won't advertise its location. I, too, have lived in Washington and in Idaho. I once lived 55 miles southeast of Idaho Falls and we had snow on the ground for 9 months with minus twenty for quite a while and 2 inches of snow on my car the 23rd of July. And Rexburg has a low rainfall but its elevation is 5000 feet. Eastern Idaho has a dry bone-chilling cold but some places in Idaho have a damp cold similar to the Washington coastal areas. I used to live at the base of a 12,000 foot volcano in Washington and in the winter, I heard snowmobiles every day but where I live now, I have never heard a snowmobile, and I've been at this location for 30 years. Not enough snow, I guess. My first year here, I bought winter tires like the new move-ins but then I talked to the locals and now I buy all-season radials, siped and I never have problems with my Subaru. And my driveway is pretty steep.
@livinginidaho ..I'm hoping we would buy a house with RV garage....but if not...would need storage. Sometime in 2025 is what is a possibility. Star area is attractive.
how do they like Californians. I am not coming to ruin your state. What is the general political atmosphere there. I saw one video that said Meridian has that LA feeling which is what I am trying to get away from
On average people don’t mind. Locals want to protect Idaho. With that said, a lot of people from cali more here so you do see some changes. Have you thought about planning a trip to come visit?

Thank you Craig! Will shoot you an email rather than typing a lot of information here. Does the email you list here go directly to you?
@@donnaw4910 yes, I'll get it.

That’s make me happy to hear
Can confirm. I live IN SF. Flying a Trump flag would be asking for vandalism or a break in. Such tolerance and beautiful open mindedness 😢

Thanks for sharing. The wind can definitely add a factor as well.

Is it tough in the treasure valley area to find a place to store your rv if you can't keep it at your home? I heard it was tough on someone's video.
Good question, I’ll have to call around. I haven’t heard anything about that. How big is your RV that you’d be looking to store.
@livinginidaho around 26ft with the spare tire out the back. Thx
@WildBlueDiscovery when are you considering a move and where would you like to find a storage location?
@livinginidaho ..I'm hoping we would buy a house with RV garage....but if not...would need storage. Sometime in 2025 is what is a possibility. Star area is attractive.
@@WildBlueDiscovery star is a great area. More rural, lots of new construction. I’m sure you’ll be able to find something when your ready.
Ironically, California is one of very few places I’ve seen so many American flags, blue stripe flags or Trump flags on trucks.
Nobody in Idaho wants you to move there!
I’m from Idaho 👋 if you like what Idaho is all about and want to make it better… I want you to move here.
