I enjoyed Rayman 3 a lot. I don't understand why it was less successful. The combat was a bit repetitive but it was still fun. Not to mention, the worlds were beautiful and the music was stunning.
We also have to hope that the DLC is good otherwise there isn't a good reason for people to buy it even if it there's a slim chance for a new rayman game if they do buy it.
On a less serious note, not hiding any of the sadist in me, Rayman getting run over carelessly by your vehicle is something I could watch again and again. Heheheh... 🤖🍿
@@joshwillcox7141 It's a completely different game format from those 2. I personally would love another Rayman party game in Arena's specific style as well... But currently there is no Rayman to speak of. That's why we are all pining for Rayman 3D to come back (The mainline games). Full of story and Adventure, that sort of world building that completely enthrals you. That you can take time in exploring, and revel in. Those games WERE Rayman. Instead we got party game, after party game, after party game, even the the 2D ones were best played in CO-OP. We all want a Rayman franchise. The Rayman Legends, The Rayman M's, Even Rabbids Wii games were fun. But for a lot of people, those were just the spin offs. The adventure died 20 years ago, in 2003. So yeah... Simply less important to the franchise. It's a matter of Want VS Need.
This was very well placed, Ollie. Every comment, every piece of information, the snippets from various articles, and especially the sales comparisons-which I enjoyed seeing the most-pulled this together in a thought-out and sophisticated way. The valuable insight you've provided in this video, particularly the way it was done, I can't say I've come across anywhere else. I have heard most of the things you've mentioned, but only in fractions. You have provided a cohesive analysis of the situation, given your research, and addressed all sides with dignity. As a clear fan of the Rayman franchise and part of the online community, I want to thank you for putting this together. This leaves me with much more to think about moving forward. Especially with your uplifting observation of old franchises seeing new light eventually, which provides hope for the possibility of a resurfacing of the Rayman franchise. Above all else, I will say I'm on board with the idea of Ubisoft selling Rayman into less stagnant hands. This was the tidbit of thought that stood out to me the most as a perfectly rational position. You have my fondest regards. Stay well. ⭐️
"Focusing on mega brands is what the game industry is heading towards" that's it I'm jumping, what's the point if my favorite ip is just going rot away 😭😭😭💀💀💀
I'm so glad I ended up here. I've enjoyed it soooo much. I was 100% sure that I'm watching some big videogames related youtube channel. But I guess not. The effort put into that video and editing of it is stellar. Keep it up man, I can see the passion and I absolutely love it.
Rayman Back2Back, the Return of Rayman as a whole in a 3d Artstyle, 2 Charaters to play as, Rayman (Can lock onto rails & Glide longer) or Barbera (Can spin her axe around for devestating damage & breaking Wooden walls but cant tank hits) death animation is them not being inflated because what was Ubisoft smoking when they made the 2d rayman games post origins...
Seeing as how Prince of Persia managed to return and be insanely successful and well received by players and critics alike The return of Rayman is more possible now than ever
It feels like Ubisoft as a tendency of playing extremely safe, making only spin-offs or mobile games for IPs they lost confidence in. Just look at the state of Might and Magic, ever since they acquired the IP, they released 1-2 main line game, a decade ago and a few individual side projects that have nothing to do with the core of that license, it's truly a shame (I say that despite LOVING the combat puzzler and the card game they made for Might and Magic, both of which have been abandoned or unsupported since forever ago at this point). I really hope to see new Rayman games in the future, but who knows at this point, maybe he will end up relegated to DLC character for other games, like they did with Sam Fisher (Which is true so far considering Rayman is supposed to be in the 3rd DLC of Rabbids + Mario: SoH).
i know this is a mobile game and mobile games have a heavy stigma i wish would go away (look at the good stuff people, and not just the old mobile games) but what about rayman mini? that was good and it released in 2020.

Man, this was so well produced! Even if some of us know why Rayman’s missing, you present it meticulously and dynamically ❤️
To this day cayman origins is the best 2D platform I've ever played. It's a shame we are not getting more.
i feel like legends is an improvement but origins is def up there
At least it isn't canman
According to the director of SoH, if the Rayman DLC sells well enough, we may see a new Rayman game.
Hopefully….
I hope🙏🙏🙏
Ikr i will freely publicly promote Rayman and even the Rabbids if it can guarantee a legit future for Rayman.
We also have to hope that the DLC is good otherwise there isn't a good reason for people to buy it even if it there's a slim chance for a new rayman game if they do buy it.
@@MusicComet Yeah, that too!
Sparks of Hope was deemed a commercial failure by Ubisoft so idk

Rayman 2 + 3 are classics and need a third 3D game

Then it's up to the fans, just as it is for the "Sonic the Hedgehog" franchise... ;)
How dare you make me want a Rayman game headed by Retro? Do not make me want things we cannot have.
yeah he make me want the new rayman game
@Nagib-Chimo but why🥲

God the first game i played was rayman 2 on the dream cast, it's a shame to see him die :(
This is a very well made video my friend
Bro, your videos are amazing!! Such a shame they have so little views :p
I'm amazed at the views they already have

I cant believe you ran over rayman! Now i have to call the dark version of you as well as a videogame character from the same series
