- In this video, the refrigerator freezer was cooling on the half side and not on the other side of the refrigerator, so we tried to troubleshoot, trace and fix the problem in this video. But the compressor was running properly.

Try this to get the freezer working again. I have an LG Top-Bottom Fridge that was having the same trouble. Compressor and exterior fan were working fine but the freezer was not cooling. I removed the front interior trim of the freezer and saw that the evaporator fan was not working. I carefully unscrewed it from the housing frame behind the trim and checked the resistance and continuity on the wire connector which were excellent. Now I've seen repairmen who would just tell you to replace the fan but at that time of day that was not an option. Having done this before with a standing fan, I realised that all this fan wanted was a cleaning and lubricating of the magnets and impeller respectively. Eventually over time with these two there is a build up of dirt, and rust in some cases, which must be cleaned and so here is where WD 40 is your best friend. I used some of this on a paper napkin to wipe the two surfaces after which I used some treadmill silicone oil, you can use something similar, on the curved surface of the impeller as well as the shaft and end joint housing. I reinstalled the evap fan and plugged it in. Not only did it spin, but it spun faster than before. Also, make sure you clean the plastic fan blade which should just pop off the impeller shaft. I placed mine under the faucet and used some dishwashing soap. Hope this tip helps someone to save some time and money. 😀

to cut a capillary tube . scar the tube all the way around the tube with a razor blade then wiggle back and forth , it will snap at the scar line from blade and not damage the size of the hole

You never just cut a hole in the line like that you need a recovery machine a set of manifold gauges and a reclaim tank and you also need your 608 EPA license to handle refrigerants

My Maytag is shwing the similar symptom. Right before it was no longer working, I noticed the gas dark smoke spreaded inside of house. Is it worth to repair or just buy new one?
Buy a new one i would charge you around 7 to 8 hundred dollars to fix it if it is an old model the refrigerant like R22 is really expensive and to switch refrigerants costs even more

When my refrigerator is plugged into the electrical outlet behind the fridge, the fridge starts up, runs a few minutes and then the compressor shuts down. I change plugs on the same outlet, same thing. I take an extension cord and plug the fridge into an outlet in another room in the house, and the refrigerator works fine. I tried going to the electrical box and resetting the power and the outlet behind the fridge worked about 15 minutes and then the condenser shut down. Why would the fridge work fine using another electrical outlet in the house? Thank you.
check your cables. they might be faulty. or outlet is short, you might need a new outlet for your refrigerator.

A very helpful tip to extend the life of the compressor is to add 50ml of sulphuric acid to the compressor before regassing. This reduces corrosion
Adding sulfuric acid to a refrigerator compressor is extremely dangerous and should never be done. Sulfuric acid is highly corrosive and can cause severe damage to the compressor and other components, leading to leaks, malfunctions, and potentially hazardous situations
this is not good way you should recover the freon with recovery machine
My Kenmore top freeze refrigerator does not cool. Fan works but excess ice on the freezer coil blocks the air vents and air flow to the fridge is not present. How can I solve this problem.
Check the defrost is working fine or not.
Also check whether the compressor keeps running, as it should trip after getting to max temperature set on the thermostat. If it keep running check the thermostat.
The fridge I worked on keep short cycling even after changing compressor could it be a restriction?

@@forevertechenglish i had fix the problem wiring was good it just needed a system flush. The oil was contaminated with some brown stuff from the previous compressor so I replace the oil too

@@angeladekock5665 In some part of the Asia, as you now they are under developing countries, the refrigerant recovery machines cost much higher then in the west. The techs can't afford it. Because I have seen it myself.
But using a recovery machine is the best, as I know putting the refrigerant in the air destroys the ozone layer. This is how people do it in aisa. Hope They stop doing this practice
