quick tip: the way you have your hook tied, the line should be going through the eyelet first and then tied around the shank since the eye is angled rearward. this way your line pulls straight on the shank inatead of at an angle. Keep on learning and keep fishing! great video!
Thanks buddy!🖤 I'm fixing to try this in about an hour. I appreciate all the tips I can get because I've never fished for catfish. Trout is more my thing and it's a completely different technique. Thanks again! And you're from GA like me!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Go dawgs!!!
cool little spot! and thanks for the great content. randomly found your channel while scrolling and can already tell it’s gonna be huge one day. keep at it and don’t get discouraged
That spot that you are at it my favorite spot to catch catfish other than a pond that I catch big catfish in But there I caught 12 in one day in the exact spot you are at
Just found your channel man, loving it so far, I’m only 15 I’m pretty sure your younger than me 😂, I just lost my last channel so I had to start fresh, already kicking ass tho, loving your vids thanks man
That stinks, maybe you’re fishing in the wrong spot? You should do some research on some other ponds around you. I hope you have more luck in the future!
I hope you took fish to eat. I hate when people hurt fish with hooks and putcback. You have a lovely voice. Much success, health, happiness and blessings to all.
Bro im so new to catfishing, what pound line should I use? I have 10pound line and 20 pound line if it matters. I also have a baitcaster and a spinning reel so which one should I use?
@@xmagicelite6867 hey man, I uploaded this video for people who don’t know about this or any beginners. I know most people already know this rig and technique. Don’t even bother to comment next time.

Props to u
Great vid. And since chicken livers come off the hook easily I suggest you tie a egg loop knot. It will make it stay on all day
Ok thanks for the tip

No problem! Good luck with the fishing 👍🏼
Friendly tip: if you use bread or a homemade carp bait this rig works amazingly well for carp
Ok I will have to try!👍

Great vid man keep it up
Thank you!
Bro, I love using chicken livers when I’m going out fishing early in the morning and late at night it always helps me
Keep learning young man. 1st thing is i would learn some knots. With circle hooks always use a snell knot. Perfect the basics n go from there. ✌️
In our local pond behind a building we call the moose, there are 2 albino catfish and I have caught both of them and they a pretty big

Did u put the weight upside down on purpose?
For this rig it doesn’t matter which way it goes
Bro im so new to catfishing, what pound line should I use? I have 10pound line and 20 pound line if it matters. I also have a baitcaster and a spinning reel so which one should I use?
I would use the spinning rod and it depends what size catfish you catch. If you catch bigger catfish then use the 20lb line
use snell knot for circle hooks or it doesn't work right

Is it just me or does bro change locations
What does the green bead do?
Reduces unwanted friction near the knot
Bro put the bullet weight upside down
It doesn’t really matter which way it goes
@@FishingTheMap12 if you’re fishing a Carolina rig for catfish, it doesn’t, but if you’re fishing a Texas rig for bass, it absolutely does
@@Powerpro78k yeah but I was fishing for catfish

So just a Carolina rig 😂
Yeah…?
@@FishingTheMap12 so how does it help to catch more catfish ?

@@FishingTheMap12 just saying you could of easily said how to make a Carolina rig now false advertise that’s how your going to catch more catfish
Some people use other techniques to catch catfish. Possibly less effective techniques. It wasn’t false advertising at all.
