Fun fact: Killshot was released 11 days after Rap Devil.

I love it when fresh reactions come about to this for the simple reason that I love looking at peoples faces when they hear it for the first time! I wish I could go back and hear it for the first time again because this is the ultimate track of why Em is untouchable. Advice for any up and comers in 2 words (if you’re thinking about dissing Em) JUST DON’T 😂😂 Nobody can compete
Like others have said: Em did come to play with this track. He was just trolling and toying with MGK with this. He basically just flipped everything around and said I don't even need to try hard to respond with how little I respect you.

There were layers to this song before it was even released:
-Eminem did a 7 minute video playing Pac Man.
-Eminem releases the track "Killshot" 7 days after Pac got shot, towards someone with Pac Man tattoos.
-One Pac's albums is called: The Don KIlluminati: The 7 Day Theory.
-Killshot is also the name of a movie where the main character "Colson" gets shot down by an experienced gunner; MGK's middle name is Colson.
-At the end of the track, Eminem talks about the call that got Pac shot and killed.
☠ Taking these dates and numbers and trying to them together is not a reach. For example, just take this line :
"Say you got me in a scope, but you grazed me
I say one call to Interscope and you're Swayze"
Meaning if he called Interscope he'd disappear.
"Swayze" is synonym for "Ghost" and "gone/disappear"
"Ghost" was a 1990 movie with Patrick Swayze, who's character is ,murdered and is left to roam the earth as a powerless spirit.
☠Killshot was released on the anniversary of Patrick Swayze's Death (September 14th, 2009)
MGK refers to himself as the Ghost of the future. Patrick Swayze was in a movie called Ghost, but also died on September 14th (release date of Killshot). And there was also a rapper called Shwayze who was essentially a one-hit wonder (if even that).
☠Em played Pacman on Instagram for 7 minutes thinking of a masterpiece dissing a kid with pac man tattoos's releasing it 7 days after pac died.

Anyone who thinks MGK had the better diss track probably hasn't been listening to rap very long. That being said, ya gotta at least give MGK credit for causing enough drama for Em to even feel the need to respond. Easily the single greatest career move he'll ever make.
Thing is..mgk made a song...not really diss track. He even used auto tune! Eminem made a diss track! Thats only reason ...I see....where some might think mgk song was better!
@@Sunny-jz3dy Sure, the song may sound better to some. I can see how some would say that. It’s a good song. The only issue with that is, Em’s song actually pulled better numbers and it wasn’t close. I’m not sure if it still stands but he broke YouRube records. It also shut UA-cam down for a few mins bc of the overload of users trying to watch it. As a diss track (which is what both songs are supposed to be) Em won. It wasn’t close. As a song, some ppl prefer Rap Devil, but the overwhelming majority prefer Killshot. Numbers don’t lie.

It's because MGK had a music video, a good beat, a hook and used auto tune and Eminems diss had a lot of references that can go over casual listeners heads

Rap Devil was MGK's response to Not Alike, which was by far the best track in this exchange in my opinion and well worth your time... but be prepared to pause a lot, because, you know... it's Eminem and Royce. If you listen to Not Alike you'll wonder why MGK would even step up... it's on another level and it's only about three verses that even directly goes at MGK

The thing is everyone heard MGK's track first and were like "Okay, not bad. That was actually pretty good." but then Eminem released his and it was like "Oh yeah. Yep. And MGK seemingly never recovered from it lol.

After Em dropped Killshot... MGK's "Binge EP" album only got 13,000 first week sales. Then he ended up changing genres. I've been a hip hop head since the 80's (ok yeah I'm old) and I've never seen someone get destroyed in a beef so bad they changed genres. He's out there making rock music now and touring with Avril Lavigne. Eminem obliterated this guy. I haven't seen a career get destroyed this badly since Ja and Benzino.

There are so many layers in this diss track. It's insane! Here are a few of my favorites:
1. Eminem released KILLSHOT on September 14th and told MGK he would make him Swayze.
2. Patrick Swayze was in a movie called ‘Ghost’ in which his character is, a ghost. Patrick Swayze died on September 14th.
3. Killshot is a Movie, based on a Hitman who has to kill a man named Colson. MGK's name is Richard Colson Baker.
4. On September 7th, Eminem went live on IG and played Ms. Pac-Man for 7 minutes straight.
5. September 7th is the day that Pac was shot and MGK has a Pac-Man tattoo over his collarbones. (Neck area.) ‘Hit Em Up’ is a diss track by Tupac to Biggie and Diddy.
6. Eminem’s "give Jade-a-kiss" line, followed up with the "game been same just the locks changed" (The Lox, Em's hair color, Jadakiss, Jade is Hailie’s middle name.)

People who think MGK killed Em and think KILLSHOT wasn't good or hard enough clearly don't understand the bars. They don't take the time to understand the bars, layers, double and triple entendres that Em spits. It's sad that these new cats don't truly understand a 'diss' track.
The layers in Em's diss are absolutely insane! He is so incredibly talented and won't dumb his bars down for these lazy mumble rap kids.
Not to mention; Em came up in battle rap and he carefully orchestrates his every move/bar. I've heard people say that Em didn't go 'hard' enough.
Umm... duh! You can't spit everything you have on someone in the first full diss to anyone. That's why Em says, "What good is a machine gun when it's out of ammo?"
MGK threw everything he had at Em on his song and has nothing else he can say. If Em wanted to/needed to diss him again, he has more ammunition.
