Nah, hes been doing punk rock for a while it just wasn't his main. The album he put out before Tickets is a mix of Rap and messing around with punk rock before going all in it. He ain't switch up he just showing there's more that he wants to do. All that said Em won this.
For me, Rap devil is a very modern rap song that fits with current trends but Killshot is a proper diss track. No fancy beats, no chorus, no music video, just straight to the point.
Exactly, and you know by the almost playful way some of the verses came out from Em that he did this shit in one take and probably did the whole thing in just one day... MGK plotted his shit for weeks trying to use it to springboard his venture into mumble rap... he failed and now he has not released any substantial music since. It's sad too, because this ft. on Yelawolf's stuff before the beef was pretty decent. Dude thought he could make a quick buck and it backfired.
"Everyone knows Eminem was signed by Dr. Dre." That is because Em makes sure we know who brought him to the spotlight. Every single chance Em gets he honors Dre, among how many other artists coming before him that have influenced him. In my generation that is absolute respect, loyalty, and friendship. Honorable above anything else.
Em is a beast as a human, as a skilled rapper and writer. Most of his competition puss out after they hit success but he doesn't quit he's determined to keep going and it shows hes got abilities we probably don't even know of (just look what he did on Godzilla after everyone was already blown away by Rap God)
Im rewatching this years later and this is the point in the video i went to the comments and saw this. My thought exactly, as well as Em came out in a time white rappers were laughed at. He broke that barrier to allow white rappers like MGK to be rich without a Dr. Dre. MGK also had the benefit of social media, Em was handing out cassette tapes at night clubs.
@@chivescucumber9764not a good line because not only does MGK have many great songs he is also a musician unlike em MGK can play like 6 different instruments at a very high level can em even play 1 instrument? Everything em said in his diss can be questioned and therefore it’s not that hard hitting sway literally confirmed em had MGK blackballed it’s also a known fact em went out of his way to try and derail MGKs career early on and that’s just bitch made em is great but respect is a 2 way street and em is a lot like LeBron in the sense that he is an all time great but he will never be the goat

Nonso Ukeka Let's be honest he did not adress the facts MGK brought up in Rap devil ( the black balling accusations, the fact that Eminem is not street anymore, the help of Dre in Em's career, the fact that Em can't take a joke made 6 years ago while he based his all career on bullying people...). I love Eminem he is the Boss but MGK is the one who came harder with his diss bringing up facts and using references to Eminem's songs to diss him with his own words (a brillant way to show respect for Eminem's work at the same time). Eminem himself said to Sway "Rap devil" is not a bad diss, coming from Em it's a Hell of a compliment.
Thank you someone who finally gives him some props the one thing that i didnt like about EM's diss is that he just talked big boy shit which is cool but when someone spills the tea on you blackballing them you have to reply to that im not saying EM didnt make a good diss it was good just not a lot of substance it was just really im a better rapper which we know i have more sale which again we know,I was more successful at your age we know MGK just came with some facts and little smooth bars that were direct he wasn't trying to be lyrical he just wanted to press the issue he had
Bias is so strong in this. I think this video started my disillusionment with the channel, all that time ago. MGK used disses that any 12 year old could do: age, beard, height, etc... Eminem bodied this guy on all his own lines WHILE using much more advanced wordplay, tone, pace and relevance. And I am not even a Stan. Other than a random station playing a song of his, I have never played any Eminem. BUT, I can still view this objectively and say this review was slanted/bias big time. Sad.
Because that line hit harder then mgks whole song and if they include it then George wouldn’t be able to say there isn’t any hard hitting lines in the song anymore
But like.. Where? I really don't hear it. He says "no" to certain things but instead of explaining why it isn't true he just goes for some clever 'your mom' style insult. Idk it's bland

He has nothing of a response so MGK saying he's 100% past his prime and he's trying so desperately to be his old self its a bit sad. It's fine, put down the pen. Or the fact that he still plays the grumpy, mad at the world character when he's living life at recruit difficulty nowadays, not appearing greatful at all. Mgk is a corny wannabe and you gotta be extremely low iq to think that he actually got more skills than em
George, you said Em had better bars and is a better rapper, but MGK won?smh If you listen to Rap devil, MGK did a lot of complaining, about how Em blocked him, Em is rich and still mad. "Beard is weird", that's bars??? Then the beats? I guess Jay-Z's Take over is way better than Ether because of the beat too. Someone said in the comments that George seem more mad at Em than MGK. As usual things that Em put together goes over people's head so easily... Killshot is a movie that came 2008. Character Carmen Colson is on the run from a hitman. MGK's real name is Richard Colson Baker. Let that sink in.
To anyone who thinks Mgk is winning this so far and thinks that Mgk got more personal... The reason why it sounds basic is because it wasn't as personal as Mgks diss track. Em doesn't really know all that much about Mgk besides what Mgk has said about Eminem. But Mgk has known Em forever, so of course he would have more to say, and have more personal ammuniton. But even though Em just responded to everything Mgk said, he still made it more lyrical, it sounded better, and it was like a college graduate going against a fifth grader. Honestly, who cares if Em blackballed Mgk? If you owned a media company, and someone was disrespecting you and was talking shit, would you let them use your company for there gain. Hell no. That would make zero sense to me. Mgk came at Em hard, But Em just slaughtered that track in so many ways. He flipped everything on Mgk, it was like 8 mile all over again. People who think Mgk is winning this battle so far either are die hard Mgk fans, want Mgks dick, or are just young and can't appreciate real good lyrical hip hop. My guess is Mgk put everything he had into that diss and is out of ammo, just like Em said. But Em could probably diss Mgk for 20 more minutes and kill it all the way through. And ive been a fan of Em and Mgk since early in both of their careers. I just call it how I see it.
The other thing that kills me with this beef, people that claim they are hip hop fans, don't give Em the credit he deserves. Killshot addressed and in some bars debunked some contents that MGK put out. If Em would have started the track calling MGK a bitch and call him a hoe, throughout the entire song it would have been over right? He clearly stated in the interview with Sway, that he didnt know if he should respond because it's only benefiting MGK. He never had this type of exposure. He was hitting MGK with straight FACTS. He addressed backballing him, addressed him taking food out his mouth, addressed the age line he dropped, talked about the height difference. MGK came off as the victim, but ppl dont realize he took shots at Em on a track with Tech9 and on Twitter he said YOU ain't no rap god.Compare bar for bar, see the difference.

Its been three years, and Im still puzzled. Lets be real when it comes to artists now. None of them need big names, because social media has allowed them to go straight to the source of fame: the fans. No studios necessary, no radios, home studio productions can go straight to publishing for billions of people to see your content, and God willing you can going viral, without ever needing old heads to create top-100s with them in it, never needing anyone in the industry to acknowledge them first. No one in this generation needs Dres and Diddys. And you can't fault the people who had them and needed them, because back then there was no other way. Cmon man, nuance, critical thinking. Please.
Doesnt diddy somehow own a bunch of podcasts that were pushing MGK too? Isnt that still getting a diddy leg up whether or not you get a picture with diddy? 🤓

1. This beat is Rap Devil backwards 2. "Kill Shot" is a movie where the main character, "Colson"(Richard Colson Baker is MGK real name), gets gunned down by a "Gunner".(MGK nickname, "the gunner") 3. Em plays it slick and suggests MGK is right in a different sense; The last time he saw the semi-autobiographical film he starred in back in 2002 was indeed, while he was running on his extremely expensive “NordicTrack” treadmill; because he's rich. 4. In 2000's, "Stan", Em talks about the downfall of an overly obsessed fan, Stan. Em is calling MGK Stan and his daughter "Matthew", Stan's little brother; who the autographed hat was for, LMAO! They’re both overly dedicated fans that eventually developed a bitter hatred for him, their idol.
Where does Eminem address any of the real shit that MGK?? Eminem can rap better. That’s a fact. He didn’t address anything that mattered. Mgk had a better diss. Enough said.

@@OmegasMusic of course I'm gonna appear biased, I've been following hip-hop since the release of N.W.A.'s first album and have a somewhat good understanding of the culture. I'm simply stating what was visually presented here. Opinions from both young and seasoned men whom have a reaction to two different views. I absolutly agree with both of their opinions and have given my own opinion based on a diss track perspective.
Em set the bar so high (pun intended) in the industry, he does'nt need to blackball, he is the g.o.a.t. In my opinion, Kelly should've just apologised. But no.... Kelly kept poking, and taking stabs at the goat until he was forced to respond to him. Blackballing? Lol
I don't understand how you expect him to come back against "Your rap has been bad" other than rapping well and talking about his success in... rap. That's how you respond to that. Just rapping well is a good enough response to that. If someone says "You suck at dunking now." And then you dunk on them, they can't say you suck at dunking.
They all acknowledged that Em is a better rapper. What George was sayin that he expected a full body in terms of the diss, and even tho it was good in his opinion it wasn't a full body diss in his opinion
Considering the fact that Mgk is not even close to one of the great rappers, I don't see any reason for Em to go hard on him. Em is just 'playing with his food' before eating it. The biggest mistake would be MGK's response to this because that would mean that he took the bait and now he'd be buried 12ft under just to make sure that even his ghost never make it to the surface.
Dre "made" Eminem? Maybe. But back at that moment in hip hop's history, there were zero white rappers getting legit respect from within the hip hop community. Eminem changed that. The world didn't fall in love with his skin color, they feel in love with his skills, his life being an open book in his rhymes, and his overall story. Dre could have cosigned nearly any other white rapper and there very likely would not have been the success there has been. They benefited from each other. Just like Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.
Em brought Dre back from the dead is how it was really going on at the time...1998/99. Hell, the best songs on Dre's comeback album, chronic 2001, all featured Eminem. Em put him back on the map.
I agree People like RA, Vinnie paz Mc search Didnt blow up and they were white I mean RA Struggled because he was white in hip hop. Eminem is the only white rappper to be big in hip hop and have longevity
Excuse me? 3rd Bass got all kinds of respect from the hip hop community and continues to, to this day. Even if they are not around. MC Serch is 10x the emcee eminem is. Shit most people that heard them on the radio didnt even know they were white until they released their first video. Also The Beastie Boys? Hello? Eminem will NEVER get the level of respect hip hop gives The Beasties no matter what he does. You're just wrong about this comment. Flat wrong.
Beastie Boys were respected and had huge success. There were also many underground artists who had respect. Maybe not mainstream recognition but respect never the less.
He said he waiting for EM to respond EM literally responded to everything mgk said my biggest flops are your greatest hits that’s about music is it not
MGK had you tube. Eminem came up in an era when the only way to blow up was to be discovered. So comparing the fact that MGK Didn’t need Diddty while Em needed Dre doesn’t really work.
Was looking for someone to say this. I'm not huge on either side but they exist in totally different eras in hip-hop specifically and music over all. Comparing how they were spotted is just meaningless.
Back then whether you had the talent or not it was next to impossible to be as big as most black rappers especially without having a great black artist by your side. These days whether black or white you can blow up easily and don’t have to be all that good either💯
Imagine thinking it’s easier to blow up off UA-cam than off of Dr Dre co signing and producing for you!! If this was true than every trash 16 year old rapper from Atlanta would be blowing up right now smh
Since when do disstracks have a chorus? Why on earth are you judging by that? If anything, it makes mgks disstrack so much weaker since it takes up time that could have been used for more disses, but I guess he truly was outta ammo.
I think both diss are good, I like the hook mgk had it was alright..... Em didn't really hurt him bad yet I think if mgk come at him again, Em is gonna murder him.
I agree, a diss track is suppose to be about whats said.. not so much how it sounds. Yes, MGK's Rap devil flows better... and you could probably jam to it... but Eminem's diss track was an ACTUAL diss track. He made it about the lyrics about the diss itself.
Em had more sneeky lines and one thing nobody noticed is the title which is "Killshot" which is actually a movie where they tryna kill a dude named colson ( colson is mgk's Second name )
Yes it’s really a debate. Em’s insults weren’t hard hitting enough. Yes lyrically and composition wise better bc he’s a better rapper but his insults were weak. And I’m an Em fan all the way. It is what it is
ZoltanDeluxe nah I more than understand it. Of course Em is great, complex, intelligent, and on another level as far as rapping goes. Em is not new to me, perhaps if he was I would be enthralled too bc today’s hip hop is not that interesting. His old shit will always be superior compared to anything he come with now. But mgk said some funny n true shit. However simple it was, you can’t deny it hit hard. It’s not easy going against Em. I give credit where credit is due. Em didn’t destroy him probably bc he doesn’t really want to. He doesn’t have that type of animosity to him, he probably thinks it’s kinda cute in a lil tay way lol. And that’s alright with me bc it was fun to watch. Em will always be Em there is no comparison. Mgk still got him good.

the dude on the right man. lol. body language and facial expressions call a common hater. he doesn't like em and thats it. no matter how much he gets proven wrong, or shown how in depth em's bars are, this guy will still be right when he's wrong. he's like the female of the channel. you fall into the category of people that em is on about in a lot of his songs; the reason you dislike him so much and want him gone is because he is simply too smart for you, and that his lyrics go over your heads. dont hate what you can't relate to. a plumber doesn't bitch at an electrician for knowing how to fix wires. pull your head out your ass and admit what is good.
Em's diss was far better. He answered all of MGK's disses and then clowned him at the same time. Plus there were mad subliminals and hard hitting punches. MGK was just emo.
Ok most rap beefs anymore people want a straight up here how it's not like how easy-e had beef with Dr. Dre after Dre left NWA. Yes Eminem's disses would actually cut more deep to a lot of people who understands what Eminem is pulling from and how he actually addresses stuff but basically writes it off
There were layers to this song before it was even released: -Eminem did a 7 minute video playing Pac Man. -Eminem releases the track "Killshot" 7 days after Pac got shot, towards someone with Pac Man tattoos. -One of Pac's albums is called: The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. -Ki||shot is also the name of a movie where the main character "Colson" gets shot down by an experienced gunner; MGK's middle name is Colson. -At the end of the track, Eminem talks about the call that got Pac shot and killed. - How can you miss the line when he says that he is SHADY and MGK will always love on his shadow.
my favorite line is about how his worst hits are MGK best. this is also layered in that in kamikaze, Em says he hates the idea that he's responsible for these rappers that try to be him. and therefore that makes him responsible for MGKs hits which he hates. lol
George usually brings knowledge, but he seems so out of touch in this video. Coming from a fan of both artists, it’s incredible to me that anyone thinks MGK’s diss holds a flame to this. Sure, the beat and little insults were nice. But the depth, double entendres, etc. in Killshot put Rap Devil to bed. Not even debatable.
Brett S so beard is weird, height difference, constant calling out of eminems age, saying he will fk kim, saying Eminem reads the dictionary like its a bad thing, everything while every now an then calling Eminem the greatest of all time are all great disses....right.... ive heard better disses from a 10 yr old kid than MGKs diss. If u didn't know, 80% of Eminems diss was a reply to MGK with no holes for MGK to exploit. 'what goods a machine gun when its out of ammo?' wheres the reply? look at MGK's EP doing hell bad. Eminem even called MGK a mumble rapper (listen to MGK's EP). Eminem even dissed MGK's diss vid saying he was digging his own grave. MGK does not look like some1 that's won in dissing or sales mah man.
Talking about his beard is weird is a reference from Eminem's song Business back in the early 2000's quoting Eminem "'Til we grow beards, get weird and disappear." A typical bandwagon wouldn't understand since you probably don't listen to Em and aren't an actual fan. Eminem is getting older and not getting better. Eminem is the greatest rapper in MGK's eyes, Em was his idol, is there something wrong with that? You must know some second to none 10 year olds that are on the levels of Nas, Big Pun, and Biggie if you think they're lyrically better than MGK. Eminem dissed one of MGK's songs? Try the 3-5 Em songs MGK mentioned. You're definitely not a stan, because you have no idea what you're talking about, probably not even an Eminem fan.
Even now years after kill shot came out people are still dissecting Eminem’s bars because a majority of them flew over their heads including these two guys. ‘Em did his homework and whether people understand it now or then doesn’t matter, because ‘Em and mgk know the truth about what happened here.
People aren’t dissecting hos bars, it’s one of Em’s most straightforward songs ever. People are however, surprisingly enough, still debating his diss song in comparison to MGK. Which is embarrassing seeing how MGK really did get buried by Em and is barely even relevant these days, by comparison that is. I’m biased but popular opinion is usually the closest to truth…MGK is trash in whatever he does. Wild Boy one hit wonder if that
No Tell me tell me, you've been telling him everything, tell me Johnnie, I'll make your Warren go warring boring pornos are my lost godfather and only friend
Eminem didn't acknowledge his latest albums haven't been up to par? Didn't he say "my biggest flops are your greatest hits"? I think that pretty much sums that up 😂🙈
I'd have to disagree with both of you guys. First off, I'm no Stan, and I'll be completely objective in this reply. What always wins beefs are about which rapper has more shit by the end of it, not the quality of a certain diss track (Nas vs Jay, Ja vs 50 and Em, dude even Eazy vs NWA). Now, when MGK lit the fuse, he tried to pull someone much higher than him, down below his level. Given that, it was perfectly understandable for Em to diss the way he did simply because the only plausible way he can respond is not by attacking someone Em KNOWS is below him, but rather, flexing on him, sonning him, shitting on him, essentially proving that he has a ton more shit than MGK. And that's exactly what Em did. You don't attack someone you know is miles below you, cause when you're up above all you gotta do is defend that post. This is why Em didn't attack MGK on a fouler level, despite being highly capable of doing so. His pt 2 interview with Sway confirms just how low he thinks of MGK, to a point in which he wasn't even sure if he'd put the effort to make a reply or not (remember "you mention me, millions of views .... I mention you, lose-lose for me, win-win for you" from The Ringer? ) Given that, he still crafted it excellently and with a whole lot of flexing. And that wins the beef for me. Point in case isn't the diss track itself, but who will win the beef in the end. My money is on Eminem seeing things that exact same way.
"What always wins beefs are about which rapper has more shit by the end of it" That's just it, George was saying that the dirt Em delivered here wasn't particularly new info or devasting. He said time and time again that Em can most definitely rap - that Em is most definitely rapping better than MGK did, he's just essentially looking for the way that Pusha T pulled up some relatively dark skeletons out of Drake's closet.

Being a Metal Head and just hearing about this dis battle from social media, not knowing any of the beef or meaning behind the two tracks. Em made MGK look like an attention seeking kid. He didn't need to say much else. Em doesn't need to go low and sink to MGK's level. He's already at the top right? Because he don’t like him and has an agenda, it’d be better if he admitted it cuz it’s just so clear. Couldn’t care less if he don’t like Em, his music ain’t for everyone, it’s just so annoying that he’s trying to pass it off as “unbiased”. Talking negatively makes shit unbiased apparently.
@@Fuetre "Everything great about Killshot" does a good explanation on why the release date was important. Basically this whole song is a diss and embodies it. I think the fact that every one who does a break down of lyrics, literally line by line, says MGK wasn't even close speaks volumes to what Em crafted.
Brooooo the fact that you think you need a catchy chorus to be a better diss? You don’t understand the purpose of a diss record. Em came straight for MGK - it’s a straight rap battle (because they’re rappers duh) we don’t need the bs extra - we’re coming for the jugular homie! Em is teaching MGK to respect - don’t even come for him! He’s letting him know just how little he is - the audacity of this nobody to come for him! Come on nowwww
There's no way MGK having better song . WTH that dude is listening? MGK was reading a STRAIGHT POEM while Eminem engineering, rapping, styling with every word.
For real tho. I knew I was gonna see some skepticism, which is natural, but I could feel waves of George's bias simply because he didn't want to default to Em and give MGK a chance. Not that that's bad, since Lost makes up for that in full, so it balances out.
@@Anatomy894 Well, yeah I guess you're right, but I can hardly hold it against him. They normally keep a very open attitude, and everyone has things that just irks them no matter what, and if this is George's I won't blame him. I'll call him out on it tho, but with the intent of encouraging self-reflection, not criticism.
He's a hater because he didn't dockeat Ems simple lines? We know Em had the better record clearly! But he didn't have much haymakers which is what he was looking for. Not a hard concept to understand
Em stated, "lets see who can out petty who." The whole track was that way on purpose. If you watch the Kamikaze interviews, the behind the scenes stuff was address and Em talked about how there wasnt any foul play. This track was the superior diss. Also, if you look up the MGK song credits, MGK didnt write all of his lines.
Exactly neither of the rappers wrote the entire thing. It’s just set up for another diss rebuttal, because Mgk is going to come and hit em. Then em is going to either finish him or make him even bigger.
MGK’s punches definitely weren’t any harder. Eminem’s were just more creative. Em used more wordplay and MGK was more direct. MGK isn’t as lyrical. So for the novice rap fan who struggles to read between the lines or understand the complexity of the rhymes, they hear MGKs disses more. I also think this is a typical example of letting expectations influence your judgement. You expected a masterpiece from Em and probably had much lower expectations for MGK. It’s like watching a boxing match where one fighter is heavily favored. If the underdog just seems somewhat competitive...the casual fan (and sometimes even seasoned judges) start to favor the underdog. Even tho they may have been outboxed. Btw...I’m not even an Eminem “fan”. He’s dope and all. But I’m a fan of lyrics, wordplay, delivery, etc. Eminem won this and I don’t think it’s that close.
Your statement doesn't make sense. This was an unbiased reaction and he didn't like Eminems content. If he was biased then he would ride for him even if he didn't like the record. George has praised his skills a couple times before, but this just wasn't one of them.
@@CenturySAM-vb2kt it wasnt unbiased at all. George is on the edge of his seat in almost every other video and even when he doesnt like a song he still tries to atleast find the good in every song. Every time its eminem it almost seems like he isnt even paying attention. He says em is overhyped and when a bar goes over his head he just says em has no substance. Its so wack.
This is the reason why I think this is the ONLY "reaction" videos youtube channel on youtube because it seems to be "real reactions". I respect these guys.
Yo, I'm so confused. I thought a diss track is all about the lyrics. Kinda like battle rapping. So I don't get why dude on the right brought up hooks and beats ( unless they were comparing each song by how much radio play it will get as well). And Em did address some of the things dude on right was complaining about but I think they went over his head.
Not a rap battle. It's a diss track. And they both said MGK hit harder. If it was simply a rap battle than yea Em wins hands down. But... his disses weren't the hardest. I'm an Em fan for life, but if you know Em than you know he could have gone way fuckin harder

You guys are the stans they made fun of lol the other guy said he likes em's song better, like an actual song. They were talking about the construccion of the song. Did you not watch that?
Dre helped make Eminem who he is today, but don’t forget that em helped Dre get to where he’s at today as well. Both have huge influences on Eachothers careers
This ages well lol. MGKs hits were harder but Eminem’s made MGK change genres and cover up his tattoos. I wanted to throw this back. Shoutout to all the free thinkers. Shout out to George and Ryan
I love Lost in Vegas but I’m a little turned off by how biased against Eminem George is. They barely review or react to his songs and when they do George contradicts himself. Ryan is always going crazy and George is like no Em doesn’t spit content. They review Walk On Water which is vulnerable and nothing but content George says, I don’t like this Eminem...he’s supposed to be the blonde bomber. Unbiased real reactions unless it’s Eminem...but everything Logic says is fire. It’s getting old.
Maybe just maybe he just disagrees with you. He said a million times that Eminem is the better rapper without a doubt. What about what he said was contradictory?
Nah George is definitley biased and no matter how fire Em comes with it he's going to lower it in some way. George is a downer and most likely the reaspn i unsubscribe.
So just coming from Drakes diss on Pusha T to this it's odd. On Drakes diss George loved the fact that Drake was using the big man card and showing his power on Pusha T but on this track when Em does that it's not enough? I'm confused.
+Mycoal Because thats all Drake has over Pusha. Em on the other hand, we all know he is a better rapper and makes more than every rapper in the game atm. No point in flaunting something that MGK already admitted to. He already said Em lives in luxury and that Em is the better rapper. Bringing that up is like people bringing up Drake has a ghostwriter. It's redundant.
Wtf is the dude on the talking about saying Em had it easier just cuz he started with dre. Em started late 80s in a where the idea of a rapper being white was a joke, by the time Kelly came into the rap game he had the road paved for him and Em had already earned his name in the game
@@yaniselgarcia802 Sure. He was the one saying that he prefered big boy talk.. are you sure you want him to determine what scathing blows are? He also said that he couldn't decide which one won.. so.. is he still sensible?
George was focused on the disses, and there were no disses in the second and third meanings.. he got all of the disses, and as he said, they couldn't compete with MGK's. He did say it was written better.
@@mack758 Why is it important that someone is an eminem's fan? To be fair, that would give him more credit. He isn't an MGK's fan either, so at least he is unbiased.
@@mack758 George acknowledges Em's musical ability, especially his flow and lyrics, but he points out that Em isnt hitting as hard. He simply expects more from Em in a diss that took at most 2 weeks to make. MGK responded in a day, I believe (or a couple), and Em took 2 weeks. Now Em is probably busy, fine, but for the time it took to wait for a response, he and many others expected more. You Em stans just cant seem to stand someone sticking up for the underdog who clearly outperformed the big dog (when it comes to who actually dissed the other harder). I love Eminem too, I grew up on his music, and I also discovered MGK around 5-6 years ago, so I would say I am unbiased, but I at least recognize the fact that Em just didnt come back hard enough, so MGK won. It sickens me to see how hard people like to ride the 'bigger rapper', you are all sheep.
@@MoviesInAminute. I don't believe he perfectly tackled everything. What about the line saying Eminem isn't getting better with time so he should put down the pen? When did Eminem tackle that? It sounded like he completely avoided it to me.
Want to know why Em is so popular? Nothing disarms, unites, and entertains like humor. Em is probably the only rapper "that" talented who's willing to go on a limb to be funny consistently, and lands (typically).
Thank you for re-uploading this! I was heated when I clicked on the first upload and saw y’all got flagged. Weird.. when some people have the whole song. 🤔
Dude on the right is critiquing like he is listening to a country love ballad, "i liked the chorus better, i liked the little melody at the end" they are diss tracks, just come with it, em isn't done those haymakers are still coming
When MGK mentions the fact that Dre made Em I think we all forget that Dre needed Em to get Aftermath off of the ground. At that point the only artist that Dre had was Mailman(?) and maybe Xzibit. The Aftermath Compilation Dre dropped made no waves on the charts. Fact is, Dre needed Em as much as Em needed Dre. Ijs. No Stanning here, just an objective opinion. Keep up the good work Brothers👍
I saw an interview with Dre about EM and he admits this directly. He says that they were both in a tough situation and needed each other. Match made in heaven
Watching this 4 years later and LMAO. Eminem knew he didn't have to go all in and take MGK out at the knees on the FIRST DISS so it's funny to watch all these videos of people saying he didn't go in hard enough. He knew MGK was a wuss and would back down - and that's exactly what happened. MGK even said he had another rap album ready to go when Em dropped this track - and he scrapped it because Em dropped the mic on him with a "killshot" warning. If Em had to do a 2nd diss track - he wouldn't have gone so easy on MGK. Now it's been nearly 5 years since MGK put out a rap album I think you can admit - Eminem won because MGK was too scared to answer back because he knew he wouldn't even be able to switch genres if Eminem responded a 2nd time.
Benzino tried by still reviewing all of his albums. Lol. Em was never black balled by the source - they gave him biased reviews, but never black balled
They had to give a review if they wanted to stay relevant... That's when Eminem was becoming what he is today. Giving him a low score is a means to black balling. If he became irrelevant because of the scores, which could have happened since they were like the bible for hip hop at the time, they would stop reviewing it.
Running his mouth about Pacs murder can not only white ball him, yet it could put him in the dirt. I still believe this is a cross promotion thing. No way they talk shit on the Pac murder and Trick Trick without getting heat these white boys do not want any part of, they had approval. This isn't a beef, this is a attention grab, and look at the hits on the videos, 60 mil+... Record label fuckery, and everyone has fell for it. Still MGK has the better song and diss, he took on the king and most still are singing his hook, and Em, well we laughed at a few lines.
Maybe It Isn't Me maybe you missed the fact that Pac-Man is one of mgks nickname. So it was just another line that was warning diddy to check his boy.while flexing that he not afraid of them top guys cuz he at or above their level
"I liked MGK better" really? 80% of the dudes lyrics is either "em you are short" or "em you are old"... The songs are not even in the same category. Em killed that boy.
You must be deaf. Eminems "lines" are all a direct response to mgks lines. He literaly broke down everything mgk said and replied to everything, maybe you just couldnt hear it.
BizEnger my goodness. “Complex” . Every verse was able to be easily broken down and understood. Neither of their disses were complex. MGK’s was more raw, intense, and passionate, despite lacking lyrical substance . Em’s, on the other hand, was boring, outdated and full of ego.

Ryan's point was perfectly put, despite George not agreeing. It is way deeper than what meets the eye, and that is the main problem that MGK fans have when they say that Em didn't really win this one. I think they are just so used to easy to understand lyrics and lazy songs.
I feel it’s even because both disses had their positives like em can rap better yes we know but then mgk actually came at HIM actually came at em and me just said I did this and that so I’m better than you but idk somehow it’s even.. but if I had to choose rn like fr I would say mgk took the W here
Ya'll missed so many bars, good grief. The Locks/Lox Jade-a-kiss bar, the fact that the name Killshot refers to a movie where the main character named "Colson" gets tormented by a crazy hitman, etc...Em destroyed that boy...not to mention there's a reason Dre took notice of Shady...talent. And homie in the glasses looking for a good hook and some autotune smh.
No disrespect guys... but to say that MGK is hitting harder with his words is just crazy talk lol. And that whole P Diddy and dr. Dre thing speaks volumes, because P Diddy promotes talent and skilled artist people like Machine Gun Kelly is not worth investing and promoting BECAUSE he has no it factor that Talent is not there he is mediocre at best and dr. Dethrone Royalty808 “I wish you would lose yourself in the records that you made a decade ago they were better” Give me one line from here that was better.
that was literally mgks best line in the song and almost every bar in killshot outshines that line. 10x over if you take into account the double and triple meanings in some of the bars and the rhyme scheme. mgks diss mostly consisted of playground insults with a few good bars and even the few good bars were just play on words from Eminem songs.

Exactly, and you know by the almost playful way some of the verses came out from Em that he did this shit in one take and probably did the whole thing in just one day... MGK plotted his shit for weeks trying to use it to springboard his venture into mumble rap... he failed and now he has not released any substantial music since. "Everyone knows Eminem was signed by Dr. Dre."
That is because Em makes sure we know who brought him to the spotlight. Every single chance Em gets he honors Dre, among how many other artists coming before him that have influenced him. In my generation that is absolute respect, loyalty, and friendship. Honorable above anything else.
If only they'd do more research... to add, Dre said Em saved his career... So I dont know what that dude talking bout.

Please.

4. In 2000's, "Stan", Em talks about the downfall of an overly obsessed fan, Stan. Em is calling MGK Stan and his daughter "Matthew", Stan's little brother; who the autographed hat was for, LMAO!

I absolutly agree with both of their opinions and have given my own opinion based on a diss track perspective.
if em did any of that blackball shit. even on his platform, means em lost laughably and hilariously. since he is the better rapper.
He literally said he wanted Eminem to reply to what MGK had to say about Em's recent raps being bad.
Zoran Malinic which he did by saying “my greatest flops are your biggest hits”

Flat wrong.
Go listen to the slim shady EP which droped before Dre took Em in, Eminem was on his way with or without Dre. Dre just put him in the fast lane.

@riny swanson talent is talent of course but youtube almost ensures that said talent will be seen.

MGK is obviously weak. I don’t get it when ppl get behind him. It seems clear to me. Oh well.
I agree, a diss track is suppose to be about whats said.. not so much how it sounds. Yes, MGK's Rap devil flows better... and you could probably jam to it... but Eminem's diss track was an ACTUAL diss track. He made it about the lyrics about the diss itself.
Em had more sneeky lines and one thing nobody noticed is the title which is "Killshot" which is actually a movie where they tryna kill a dude named colson ( colson is mgk's Second name )
no thats not true blackbird dies in movie not the colsons
Eminem murdered it. Is this really a debate!?!?!! Really.

Ok most rap beefs anymore people want a straight up here how it's not like how easy-e had beef with Dr. Dre after Dre left NWA. Yes Eminem's disses would actually cut more deep to a lot of people who understands what Eminem is pulling from and how he actually addresses stuff but basically writes it off
There were layers to this song before it was even released:
-Eminem did a 7 minute video playing Pac Man.
Sounds like you should have a channel. That was nice.
I bet even em dont know all these dots connect..lol. you dig too deep bruh.
my favorite line is about how his worst hits are MGK best. this is also layered in that in kamikaze, Em says he hates the idea that he's responsible for these rappers that try to be him. and therefore that makes him responsible for MGKs hits which he hates. lol
I feel like you're reaching here. Killshot is a diss referencing the fact that MGK has a song called Warning Shot.
ua-cam.com/video/xtcMfC4U-lo/v-deo.html Breakdown of Rap Devil and Killshot
Mgk cooked em
man George is trying to keep the video going cant be Em fucked him up.. end of video
+Alex Etienne As a diss track Rap Devil is far superior to Kill Shot.. Only a stan couldn't see otherwise.
Even now years after kill shot came out people are still dissecting Eminem’s bars because a majority of them flew over their heads including these two guys. ‘Em did his homework and whether people understand it now or then doesn’t matter, because ‘Em and mgk know the truth about what happened here.
What bar did they miss? You can disagree with their takes on the songs, but they didn’t miss anything
ok so the beards weird shit was MGK taking a line off Em's song and EVERYONE missed that including Em ....
People aren’t dissecting hos bars, it’s one of Em’s most straightforward songs ever. People are however, surprisingly enough, still debating his diss song in comparison to MGK. Eminem stans are extra angry today
I think the fact that mgk had to pivot to entirely different genre of music speaks for itself lol
Em still lost
"What always wins beefs are about which rapper has more shit by the end of it"
That's just it, George was saying that the dirt Em delivered here wasn't particularly new info or devasting.

Also, from a hip-hop stand point, (I'm out of the loop so my next critique is all about what I enjoy) I like old stuff like Wu-Tang so I like verses on tuff beats. Em's track feels like that. Back to basics, rap skills working over a beat that makes you bang your head. It's got more polish, it's more technical and regardless of what was said (since I don't understand the "beef") Em killed MGK with his skills alone. It's easy to take shots at someone on top and the response to the peasant was as it should be. Random Metal Head opinion.
Sean Reynolds think it’s a rap thing where they respond like throwing down a challenge? Maybe
I think Em just wanted to make a point for making MGK stop going after his daughter.
That was beautifully explained Sean.

That Swayze Bar went over too many heads. He's referencing MGK as a soon to be "Ghost" - The move Patrick Swayze was in. Song was realized September 14th, the anniversary of Patrick Swayzes death.
Nothing lowkey about it lol
He's a hater because he didn't dockeat Ems simple lines? We know Em had the better record clearly! But he didn't have much haymakers which is what he was looking for. Not a hard concept to understand
This was the best (unbiased) reaction to this diss track
Em stated, "lets see who can out petty who." The whole track was that way on purpose. If you watch the Kamikaze interviews, the behind the scenes stuff was address and Em talked about how there wasnt any foul play. This track was the superior diss. Also, if you look up the MGK song credits, MGK didnt write all of his lines.
deathbyjoshmonster neither did em. Especially if you go on google.
Even when someone only adds one line, they get writing credit.
Exactly neither of the rappers wrote the entire thing. It’s just set up for another diss rebuttal, because Mgk is going to come and hit em. Then em is going to either finish him or make him even bigger.
bro just go to eminem's video the fall. check the credits there. fucking stan
THANN YOU
MGK’s punches definitely weren’t any harder.
Tony fucking preach
gg
True very true.
Tony, are you a Beatles fan?, the reason I ask is because you mentioned liking lyrics, wordplay...
Green Love not a Beatles fan. Just not my thing. I grew up in the 80’s/90’s and used to rap myself. So I’m into hip hop and pay attention to lyrics.
‘Unbiased’ yet George clearly doesn’t like em
CenturySAM 1987 You realize you can be biased against someone right? He’s saying he’s clearly biased against Eminem. Not for Eminem.
@@CenturySAM-vb2kt yeah thats the days.. "respecting" eminem and saying he is better but then hating... Rap is about rap
CenturySAM 1987 this song was good asf Wdym. The rivalry wasn’t even close and MGK is trash
And Em did address some of the things dude on right was complaining about but I think they went over his head.
kierra collins Right! He likes to say I’m just keeping it real when actually he wants a reason to not like Em’s track.
Not a rap battle. It's a diss track. And they both said MGK hit harder. If it was simply a rap battle than yea Em wins hands down. But... his disses weren't the hardest.
I'm an Em fan for life, but if you know Em than you know he could have gone way fuckin harder
Ikr he's hating em for no reason. Shitty reaction. Shit channel. Baised af.

Ark 18 thank you
oddun The Chronic was a wack album? Lol
Eminem didn't murder MGK in this. I feel like he is toying with him cause we all know Eminem could TRULY ruin him
Wrath Eminem while just “toying around” still managed to murder MGK lol
Wrath it was light work
Yea I agree, it reminds me of the cannabis beef
When the diss starts with laughing and shooting u know u're dead and the shit getting real
What could have been better ?
This ages well lol. MGKs hits were harder but Eminem’s made MGK change genres and cover up his tattoos. I wanted to throw this back. Shoutout to all the free thinkers. Shout out to George and Ryan
Dude on the left is almost always 100% right when it comes to music, he gets it and knows how to listen and love it
Definitely the other way around. You're literally just mad George doesnt like Eminem as much as you do.
@@imjustsayin3210i dont typically hate against george, but it fairly obvious in this video that hes biased against em. really fckn biased

Dude who decides how you have to listen to music. There's no right and no wrong way of listening to music.
You dumm bro
They both literally said the same thing lol
I love Lost in Vegas but I’m a little turned off by how biased against Eminem George is. They barely review or react to his songs and when they do George contradicts himself. Ryan is always going crazy and George is like no Em doesn’t spit content. They review Walk On Water which is vulnerable and nothing but content George says, I don’t like this Eminem...he’s supposed to be the blonde bomber. Unbiased real reactions unless it’s Eminem...but everything Logic says is fire. It’s getting old.
44 more song has zero content lol
Maybe just maybe he just disagrees with you. He said a million times that Eminem is the better rapper without a doubt. What about what he said was contradictory?
Nah George is definitley biased and no matter how fire Em comes with it he's going to lower it in some way. George is a downer and most likely the reaspn i unsubscribe.
Dustin Varner wow you’re such a snowflake. You weren’t a real fan of the channel anyway so you won’t be missed. Bye
Where's the lie though?
So just coming from Drakes diss on Pusha T to this it's odd. On Drakes diss George loved the fact that Drake was using the big man card and showing his power on Pusha T but on this track when Em does that it's not enough? I'm confused.
That's called bias...
I swear!! I kept thinking about that Duppie reaction too. I really like these dudes and subscribe, but George had me pissed off in this one.
@@hazey5736 okay but we all know em has way more bars in this song than mgk's entire career
Zack Franklin no you’re pissed because he didn’t agree with you
Wtf is the dude on the talking about saying Em had it easier just cuz he started with dre. Em started late 80s in a where the idea of a rapper being white was a joke, by the time Kelly came into the rap game he had the road paved for him and Em had already earned his name in the game
When ryan says "dude you trippin" 😂

George missed all the small lines. I think he was too hyped up about getting a crazy line, he missed everything else. Gotta listen closely.
George isnt a fan of em..clearly obvious from the MGK reaction and this one

Want to know why Em is so popular? Nothing disarms, unites, and entertains like humor.
Em is probably the only rapper "that" talented who's willing to go on a limb to be funny consistently, and lands (typically).

Eminem's petty...
Not enough compliments & too much criticism.
Basically every other reaction channel got to post their video, this channel was one of the only ones hit.
Dude on the right is critiquing like he is listening to a country love ballad, "i liked the chorus better, i liked the little melody at the end" they are diss tracks, just come with it, em isn't done those haymakers are still coming
Ben Cohee Stan lol
MGK was the first rapper to use auto tune on a diss track.. Enough said..
Rs he doing the most
When MGK mentions the fact that Dre made Em I think we all forget that Dre needed Em to get Aftermath off of the ground.
Excellent point
I saw an interview with Dre about EM and he admits this directly. He says that they were both in a tough situation and needed each other. Match made in heaven
ua-cam.com/video/wgztAU7p-WM/v-deo.html
Here is the video for you man, inform the public
Finally someone with a broader base of facts....
Let's not forget MGK came up in the social media era where it's a lot easier to gain a following without a co-sign.
You said Em "coulda been blacked-balled too." Nope. Benzino tried, look what happened to him. You can't black-ball Em, he's just too strong.
Interscope and Def Jam artists can only be blackballed by their own label.
Em killed that boy.
saibabax definitely. Eminem don’t need no chorus to destroy MGK.
Hahah thats some funny shit, mgk hasnt sold in his entire career as much albums as The Marshal Matters LP sold in 3 weeks.
And the rest are of the lines are lines from old Em songs...
You must be deaf. Eminems "lines" are all a direct response to mgks lines. He literaly broke down everything mgk said and replied to everything, maybe you just couldnt hear it.
He stated cold hard facts of what em has done
Em’s diss was so complex, it went over your heads....
BizEnger my goodness. “Complex” . Every verse was able to be easily broken down and understood. Neither of their disses were complex. MGK’s was more raw, intense, and passionate, despite lacking lyrical substance . Em’s, on the other hand, was boring, outdated and full of ego.
BizEnger and into the trash

Ryan's point was perfectly put, despite George not agreeing. It is way deeper than what meets the eye, and that is the main problem that MGK fans have when they say that Em didn't really win this one. I think they are just so used to easy to understand lyrics and lazy songs.
Em fans themselves will say that MGK was better. Just because a song is more complicated does not mean the content is better. Js
That’s not how rap disses work. It’s doesn’t matter how complex or otherwise a song is. That’s not how to decided who had the better diss.
I feel it’s even because both disses had their positives like em can rap better yes we know but then mgk actually came at HIM actually came at em and me just said I did this and that so I’m better than you but idk somehow it’s even.. but if I had to choose rn like fr I would say mgk took the W here

that was literally mgks best line in the song and almost every bar in killshot outshines that line. 10x over if you take into account the double and triple meanings in some of the bars and the rhyme scheme. mgks diss mostly consisted of playground insults with a few good bars and even the few good bars were just play on words from Eminem songs.
