These topics are so interesting because I never really get the opportunity to talk to Chinese people because of my introverted nature, and when I do, it's always just surface level information like what we do for fun and what our majors are. That's probably a problem on my part since other guys know how to get these talking points out of people. but I'm generally just bad at it. So yeah, this was a good way to get into the modern Chinese person's thought process. I guess I should also download xiaohongshu or something to get with the times. Thanks for the video!

It seems that 内卷 is similar to 攀比, but 内卷 kicks it up one notch. There is also 攀高枝. I think this is used to mean "social climbing". 攀比 is defined as "keeping up with the Joneses". But this is less used in English nowadays. Maybe 攀比 and 攀高枝 are also losing popularity.

That's 'cause her parents ate right before she was born (see Weston Price). Almost everybody i see where i live (USA) has visible skeletal defects (facial defects are the most visible of these) . Almost everybody i see in chinese teaching videos is in way better shape than us. She's also got perfectly balanced face ( same distance from nose all around face ) and teeth wide like a piano, beautiful. You'll notice all the great singers and all the best athletes are similarly well formed (fully developed ).
Let me improvise a bit and coin a new one-third Spanish, one-third Chinese, and one-third English phrase and call it "擺爛do" (it's the name for the process of 擺爛 - because of English "do", and bailando from Spanish). xD
