As an English speaker I oddly proper the Japanese version. Not sure why but I prefer the way the lyrics flow in the chorus. But the way Su says "Spin spin spin around" will never not be amazing.

The video is clips from a live concert from the latest tour, maybe several, with effects added to make it more than just a montage while the audio is the studio version of the English version of the song. They do not lip sync anymore, that stopped nearly three years ago and was only Moa-Metal and Yui at that point. Su-Metal has been completely live except for her harmony track for years.

Sure, they've got a heavy accent and still have problems with L sounds since their native tongue doesn't really have them, but she DOES speak English.

残念ながらバンドを脱退したyuimetal、moametalは10～11歳から、su-metalでさえ12～13歳から、そして、今ではもうちょっとしたらバンド結成9周年となる。
なかなかいないですよ、周りに小学生と中一からメタル・ロックがあったというのは。
しかも、仕事をしていたのでその道の一流どころと交流を持てたり、お勉強できる
（今後も含めて考えるとキャリア形成の点で）恵まれた環境にあるのは、
世界中探しても、まーないでしょうね。
I think this really proves how much Su loves her international fans...she was never under any obligation to ever learn any English and yet she did so she could interact with her non Japanese fans and this song kind of is the pinnacle of that, I hope she does more English songs in the future.
Also just saying listening to her singing this and then hearing when she sang painkiller and breaking the law a few years backs Su has gotten so good at speaking English and Moa is getting better to

Agreed! Su sounds a bit better in her native tongue but, a recent interview I saw (Glastonbury I think) revealed her English is very good! Even Moa is picking up a few words now. Great times!
Singing in English is more of a technique. Just memorizing the words and inflections. It's a lot different when you have to translate your thoughts from your native language to a foreign language and speak at the same time.

Just like with THE ONE, both versions are great. I'm used to the Japanese version since I've spent over a year listening to it and I think its lyrics has a better rhythm-n-flow, but I know the English version will grow on me.

I love their songs no matter what language it's in. The whole band is amazing. They did asome. I could not stop getting hyped and pumped up, they were amazing. I am a big fan now after watching and listening to the first music video I've seen by BABYMETAL on youtube, I love all of their songs already and they're now definitely are one of my top favorite bands, they are incredible.

初期のelevator girl からそのユニークさに気に入っていたが、賛否両論あって評価が真っ二つに分かれていた。予告なしのyuiちゃん抜きの四人体制だったこともあり、曲調がやや軽く、それが受け狙いのアメリカンポップスだとかという評価も。
しかしこの新 elevator girlは誰が聴いても圧倒的にメタル、ロックじゃないか。

Same here. Su's English is pretty good considering but it's still kind of hard to make out what she's saying in the chorus.
I agree, but to be fair a lot of the song was already in English. I think that we probably just got used to the original too much. I think the bigger thing for me is that the new chorus doesn't quite fit in the mix, like as if it was mixed by someone else, with different processing, or even if it was mixed separately and just slotted in as a separate part at the mastering stage. Someone dropped the ball on that one.

i remember i started listening to babymetal back when i was in high school and now years later the girls are all grown up and i still love them
heavy guitar riffs with poppy vocals, this wouldn't have worked without Su-metal 😳
These girls (and band) are nothing short of AMAZING! Absolutely love them & can’t wait to see them live. They make me smile every time I listen to them. Su is our Queen & Moa is our Princess. We have watched, as you’ve grown into gorgeous young ladies. I personally prefer the Japanese version, but thank you for giving us an English version. That being said PLEASE don’t stray from your Japanese roots. We love you singing in Japanese, and that’s half the appeal. To me anyway.
On a side note, I wish they’d take the masks of the kami band too!

Yeah I agree - but in so many people's minds it's all about Su-Metal and the choreography. Nice almost jazzy tune - Su-Metal's singing & the band's tight playing.
Kami band is absolutely kicking ass on this one. I understand this is mostly about SU and ladies but even a glimpse of band would have been nice. They are not doing any playback bs. as tar as I know.

I have been torn ever since they announced coming to get a ticket given it was a workweek and I am over in Melbourne...now I guess I am okay with me deciding not to get the ticket given it will no doubt be cancelled, and even if not, I gotta be here dealing with pets and family with the hurricane. I hope they reschedule tbh as I will definitely go next time, but if they do play, have a blast.
