It is confirmed, Su metal can handle any type of singing style perfectly.
she's so fucking cool
And to think she started out as a High School Idol singing bubblegum pop
I have been listening to BMC. yes she can do it all.

Gg abriela
really appreciate that instead of just using my culture as an aesthetic by wearing bindis or mehendi like most artists today, they took the effort to properly incorporate the music and dance style into their own.
First I'd like to say that I like them a lot but they sorta butchered the lyrics part, the words are used in a weird way (should've involved an actual indian person in the process)
Apporv Kishlay i mean they're Japanese, they really can't pronounce some words the right way be cause of the wide gap between both languages
@@Eden19867 I'm not talking about the pronunciation, for eg accha isn't used in the context that they have used it in, plus a lot of it sounds more like arabic music than Indian
Apporv Kishlay ah i see, sorry i miss understood
@@apporvkishlay i mean you can make the same argument when any japanese band incorporates english words. Its literally broken english but hey at least they try
I cant believe how awesomely diverse they are... ive never loved a band this much
I'm so happy that such artists exist who made song on "Shanti" after understanding it and with its real meaning, doing actual semi classical choreography ! Thank you so much Babymetal !!!

Yeah, thats how it looks.
Still not sure if I like or dont like the band. On one hand the instrumentals tend to be above average to great, on the other, these "clichee J-pop" voices.....
@@ferdinandhumperdinck165 su has a very strong voice and range if you are willing to listen to a few live performances. her voice is certainly impressive here as she is singing in a style she never had before.

Su's voice has become so impressively versatile! Love the mix on this one, now that I can finally hear the official audio.
I know right, elevator girl in English, the mixers made her voice so auto tuned
@@fazsum41 I'm more upset at the fact that they've all but removed the original Japanese version from all streaming sources, including the final mix for the album. Like, the song is good but the English lyrics really feel forced as opposed to the Japanese
@@lukesomerville6603 So glad i've downloaded the Japanese version, in time...
I like moa
@@lukesomerville6603 that's good marketing if you ask me! Most average consumers that pick up the album as new fans may prefer to hear more english if they're from the states. That gives megafans incentive to pick up the japanese release in addition to the exclusive bonus tracks. Japan still has a huge CD market, so theyre making as much money as they can, and appealing to their international fame

It’s more training. Japanese idol companies train their idols-to-be, and Su had IMPRESSIVE technical skills (breathe control, voice control, passage singing control) since she was 13. I guess they’ve never stopped training, and if she excelled in technique at age 13, we are only seeing what striving for perfect technique plus 15 years of live experience get you.

Anyone else get the impression that as big as they are now, they are about to take it to a new level with Metal Galaxy? Cant believe the quality of the new songs, the choreography seems tighter, and Su is just a force of nature now.
With how they were able to penetrate into the western market, I believe this might just be the push they need.

It's truly impressive how many different styles of music Babymetal uses. I've never seen Japanese people using Indian music like that ever before.
Edit: Hey man, if you're just gonna suggest another example of Japanese people using Indian music, others already have, and that doesn't change the fact that this was new to me when I posted this. Okay, see ya! \m/
They are really unique in that regard. I wonder what would happen if say, they teamed up with Devin Townsend? Lol. Nothing would be out of bounds.
This is not Indian music, This is middle eastern. The lyrics are about indian stuff. Go listen to indian music and middle eastern music. The beat is different, the instruments used in this song are also middle eastern. Beat and melody are middle eastern, arabic.
@@ボルト-v6k It's kind of both. Thousands of years of cultural exchange and shifting borders led to many similarities regarding style, rhythm, instrumentation and theme. You'll find some of those elements everywhere from Greece in the north-west to Egypt and Yemen in the south and India in the east and probably beyond. Please let me know if I am missing anything or if I got something wrong
Pretty sure it's not 'Ali', everything else is great!
@@nozomemetojo I don't think it is. Karma / Karuma makes sense in context. Saying 'Ali' (a name) does not fit. Aleh is also another word which it could be.
@@nozomemetojo What does Ali mean in Japanese?
About "Meguri Meguru unmei wa".
I think it's not "unmei" but "sadame".
Writing a word "運命(unmei)",she say it "sadame" in this song.
(I'm not good at English, so I'm sorry if my English is wrong.)
What an underrated song man. It's so well done, so well produced, and Su's vocals are just insane!
this band is awesome live, go see them if you can. they're not just a studio band
BABYMETAL: Shanti shanti
Me, an Indian: Kya?
"Shanti Shanti, Prana of living beings
Shanti Shanti, Chakra blooming life
Shanti Shanti, Samsara of living beings
Shanti Shanti, Karma, be in high spirits"

But I think he meant it more as an Indian person, like myself, hearing an indian word from a Japanese band

Babymetal: “Hold my naan.” 😁
This got me haha
You killed it :D
Funny, though, on a serious note, the better question is what CAN'T they do something with.
OMG . You just made my day with you comment!!! 😂🤣

Kanometal
