free to play isnt a genre. why do people say that? its just a pricetag.
Also, who hates free to play games? I quite despise free to try games like Destiny, and I guess that is the thing about Warframe, it has no real competition and a really talented studio behind it

@harrycksonleao7881 there is a stigma associated with free games as they are often Pay to Win or have exploitative monetization. Warframe is certainly an outlier though

There's very much so a f2p genre. Exploitative MTX, severe time or money gating, p2w gear, etc.

Also it’s worth noting, the cosmetics that cost money specifically were made by OUTSIDE artists who are paid directly from the sale of the cosmetics.
Right. The only things you can't farm in-game are community made and prime access cosmetics.

Been playing for about 9 months………….I’m addicted
You forgot to mention this game is available on 6 different platforms, and there's crossplay, on average there's more than 500k players across all of them. As long as DE continues to be as awesome as they are, this game will never die, unlike another studio that keeps digging itself deeper and deeper lol.
I’ve been playing warframe for 2 years on and off now, and literally the only 2 complaints i have about the game is the slot system (weapon slots, warframe slots, etc.) and the lack of “oomph” in some animations. That’s it, and the second isn’t really an issue with the game, it’s just a personal preference.
I sort of agree with the slot complaint get grinding a good stock of prime weapon and frame parts and sell them I used to make around 1500 plat per month selling to players the Warframe market sites/app is a god send 👍
Gonna have to refute your final thoughts on how long this game will last, the devs have declared last year that they have planned content for the next 10 years, I think I'll ride or die with them for that long too
Because Warframe respects the grind I've done before. Gears from 5 years ago can still do well in today's content. They don't invalidate my time.
I would argue that every gamer should try warframe for at least four or so hours, just because the small percentage that gets past the new player confusion usually end up sinking several hundred hours for free.

Also... this game is satisfying... Movement is satisfying, sounds, fighting... even simple energy and ammo collecting sounds are satisfying...
I've been thinking about getting back into it, the game is awesome.

I returning to warframe just to play warframe story quest and its mission of lore and just play relax thats all xd
the game monetization system is one of a kind . The abysmal price to buy plat and item and the time gating convince people to trade for plat but if people need plat they might buy it themself while also helping f2p player to get item that are locked behind a paywall completely free while also benefit Digital Extreme
Why we keep returning? Because we got a lot of shit to craft😭
I think the main reason why I keep coming back to the game after about 5 months of not playing is because there is little to no FOMO. You can comfortably play in your own pace.

Cocaine is a hell of a drug
because it is a great game
do note that there just isn't enough emphasis to describe how GRINDY Warframe is. Sure you can unlock almost everything by just playing, but that would require YEARS or even DECADES of playing to do so. But, Warframe is one of those rare games that makes grinding actually fun and feel worth it, that's why people kept playing it
And those specific cosmetics that can't be bought with platinum are community made and the creators get a cut.
Because there's no fear of missing out (fomo) we can go back and have complete access to new content without spending a dime. Compared to games like Destiny that straight up erase old DLCs.
Warframe is like an only game (in my opinion) know the meaning of "Free2Play"
Unlike most Free2play like Destiny 2 said "We are free2play" in the end its a Free2Try game.
if you stop playing warframe , you came back after 1 years , you have tons of things to do , not catching up but TO DO . That's the important part to me , your old builds is still some what viable for the new content and new stuffs to get
Just return playing warframe again after 2-3 years of not playing cuz how the new player experience makes me wonder of what to next that time, since my brain just kept on loading eventually stop playing it since I don't know what to do and after returning to it and asking some vets warframe player of how or what to do now I know now and kept playing the game since my returning I also help some new player of what to do in my experience of playing and I still remember the vets told about what to do and what not to do in warframe
I discovered this game from a video of gauss ripping it thru a map. To this day I haven’t touched anyone else but gauss

The story of the game Is very good, it's not a generic sleep pill like most mmos
Why? Because it's a good game that respects you as a player.
honestly in my personal opinion the only way Warframe can REALLY die is if the community becomes toxic the community genuinely does a lot to keep the game alive and i don't see the community becoming toxic any time soon
No trust me it can become toxic if you cross the line, the thing is your going to have to be the literally incarnation of a @$$hole to cross it and even there just going to kick you from the guild
I have seen 1 warframe player have a melt down after I insulted him just to see what happens he literally called me a r word victim before calling me the n word
he later apologized after the mission was over

My interest flatlined like a week ago but I'm liking the look of future plans with 1999 and the combat rework.
Still I got over 2k hours of beloved gameplay from DE.
Playing the game is just damn fun. You can do what you want in game and still progress you are not forced to to certain tasks over and over again to progess which I hate in other games. I keep quitting other games but after a hard day of work a round of warframe is just plain fun. And the company isn't greedy you get a lot for a small investment of real money as long as you use warframe market.
Gonna have to correct something you said as you don’t actually need four players in a squad you have the option to have up to four players frankly you can do everything in this game so lol with enough effort not that I recommend that because I don’t.
It is easy to burnout on warframe but it is also very easy to jump back if you're established account with variety.
Played game on and off since closed beta.
I'm honestly addicted to it and I should be working out more as I got army basics next week but I keep playing this
Correction i think is important, basically nothing costs real money with two exceptions. Tennogeno which isnt free bc the money partially goes to the original artist of the skin and is a community project. And #2 prime access cosmetics which normally arent that cool
simply, they did the small things right and thats why it is able to take me away from destiny 2 (also f2p unlike D2)
I think you're wrong about 5 to 10 years if digital extremes continue to support and update the game in a similar fashion to how they have so far I'd say another 20 years is a pessimistic estimate
For instance they updated the engine not too long ago to bring it visually in line with competitors and give themselves more freedom in the engine to add new mechanics and systems
20 years is TOO long of the time to predict anything like that. Just as an example… 20 years ago we all played PS2….
@@Nyxson true however Warframe isn't tied to particular hardware and over the past 11 years we've already seen the game update to keep up with current hardware and even see it move to a new engine more recently, imo Warframe is going to be around for an extremely long time, and if it's not I would predict it would be because of some sort of restructure/closing of digital extremes
Theres so much to do in Warframe, near endless and I'm still a beginner sort of. Seeing others players crazy fashion and end game strength I want to keep playing to get to that level little by little. DE loves their game, the community is real community. Theres so much more to say

I have played this game for close to a decade now on and off and every time that i leave it is because i come to the realisation that I have every thing i could ever want and that the new stuff is just yet another content island because its just got nothing to do with the old content and resources that i have gathered for years is are just useless now.
its a good game but its slowly just decaying because there is nothing new that is really good and connected to the rest of the game.
maybe a new player will enjoy it, but im just done with it.
fair, the warframe community will welcome you back if you ever see something new that interest you. No FOMO here.
They should add new varieties for the mobs in general on defense infestation, corpus and grineers more enemy variety a different ways to kill them or more ways to go through the mission, maybe 2nd subquest that can be taken during the main missioin, improve the archwing outter space combat feature and you can trust that itll keep the game alive for another 5 years

that was me at first too but as i played more it got more enjoyable.
Was it overwhelming? That tends to be the reason.
I was overwhelmed at first but it gets easier.what I couldn't get into are the likes of PoE and BDO. All of these games seem to have atrocious new player experience. Warframe's first few hours are actually great but then it'll push you off the nest and let you fly by yourself.

Probably Tennocon 2021 which announced the New War update which dropped later that year.
the only game that might take WF players away from WF is Soul Frame, DE's other game.
Not gonna lie, I only dislike Warframe for it's time to craft, been on it since 2021 or 2020 and it still has not changed anything regarding time, more content. Yet you still gotta wait 3 days to craft 1 new set, it sucks
Their ideas are shit, regarding this they've been going downhill for years.... i played warframe when it was in the early build. when there practically wasnt any lore and the grineer spawned in corpus tile sets. when rhino was scattered throughout the entire solar system and before they made weapons craftable. The game was supposed to be a successor to dark sector but then they had to go all woke with their entire mentality and what we got was kiddies in spandex that control the suspiciously human shaped warframes isnt that funny?
havent touched the game in years. last time i downloaded it i went in, saw that they added some goofy a$$ water guns and instantly deleted the game again...
