I've never heard of the Stoddart book, but it sounds like I should try it. I thought Katie Lumsden's book was great, too--and I love the cover for yours! It looks like it might be the US hardback edition?
The Alexandra Stoddard books brought me right back to the '80's! I remember her tips to have colorful throw pillows and to tie up all of your computer cords to keep them neat and tidy and hidden away for a less stressful environment. 😊
Hi Gina!! I need to get back to my Alexandra Stoddard book 🤩 I love seeing (and hearing!) all about your favorite books recommendations! 🥳🌟 Ooh, Winter Solstice!! Thinking of you! 🤗💖🌸
Hi Gina, I always enjoy your posts and am so impressed that you mentioned my 2 favourite Alexandra Stoddard books that I am going to give several of the other books mentioned a go. It's beautiful that you have cats in your home. They look after us too, don't they.
Hi Gina, we love many of the same books, and guess what? I love that Alexander Stoddard book too. It’s one of my favorites! It just makes me so excited to do simple things like clean. My copy looks different. It is a pink print hardback. I’m going to get that out again, but really like to start that in January. Thank you.😊❤😊❤😊❤
GINA! Missed you! I have an Alexandra Stoddard book I have read SO MANY times. Gift Of A Letter. I started writing letters when I was in 3rd. grade and continue to this day. So, of course I had to buy it way back when. I see it every day on my shelf!🤗 Thanks Gina!
Hi Gina….I loved The Secret of Hartwood Hall and I’m looking forward to Katie’s new book due out this year. I haven’t read Alexandra Stoddard for many years, but I do remember her books as being lovely. I think I’ll look her up again. Fun prompt 🌸
Thank you Gina for a lovely video. I have never read any Trollope…so I need to rectify that. Also I want to read Katie’s book and if it has shades of Sarah Waters so much the better!
Hi again Gina, well I was wrong, but I do remember books by Alexandra Stoddard, I know one about tea! But he one I was thinking of that I love so much is Simple Abundance, a Daybook of Comfort and Joy by Sarah Ban Breathnach! It is so wonderful and fun to read each day. So I recommend it! Another old one that I loved is 14,000 Things to be Happy About by Barbara Ann Kipfer! These books really make you enjoy life,😊
I just got back from the library where I picked up Piranisi after watching your video last night. I've also enjoyed The Shell Seekers and Thrush Green per your recommendations and have ordered a Barbara Pym book. I've gone absolutely crazy for books since I started watching book tube this year. When I hear of a book that sounds good I have to get it immediately. Thanks for the recommendations. 🤩
My guilty pleasure is my collection of vintage mills and boon and Barbara cartland, just love them 😊. I was wondering if things were going ok with you, am so glad that your dad in law is fine. Take care and have a happy Labour Day 🌞
It's sad Samson missed the show coming out by days. I need to read more of those as I've only read Dissolution. I love The Liveship Traders, now I need those beautiful hardbacks!
Hi Gina, Since I have a new focus of helping people with self care Living a Beautiful Life is going on my TBR. I'll be starting The Chronicles of Barchester Series this Victober,
