i bought this car last month, it is truly an amazing car, the handling is beautifully weighted and direct, the acceleration is always smile inducing. i totally agree that it needs a 6th gear for motorway cruising just to help the mpg. Ive had 135mph out of mine so far (stock). the car is more than stable enough to handle a turbo. anyway, great car, and better than the s1600 or zetec s in many ways.
Mad that it can go 135. I bought mine 5-6 months ago. And never really wanted to thrash it about but I bet it can handle such drama lol. Mines just clocked over to 37,000 miles and I'm in love with it. Pulls like a train between 3.5 - 6k only discoverd this the othernight when I turned the traction off haha. 😅 It's a little bad of ford how there's no coolant temp either but if u go into the secret menu you can pull it up from there just takes a while !!! And also I think polybushed and better suspension wouldn't go a miss 👍
Anybody know how many were made WORLDWIDE of these METAL editions? I know around 2,200 for england as customers were told only 1,000 would be made for uk and they all kicked off!!!!! But worldwide would be interesting to know how many???
I've had one since 2012 bought it brand new... top spec... the only down side to the car is it doesn't have 6 gears! People are still impressed now when they get in it to be fair... and it pulls like a mother fucker in anything above 30mph... I've smoked the previous model st a few times... not the St of the next model up tho... I guess this was the pinnacle of the model because there wasn't a St in this model, great car, all the extras were Sony stereo, heated seats, push to start... they didn't all come with this...
Hey :), Well, mainly just the exhaust system, from just a catback its about 10bhp (from the Manufactuer + tests) and with full system about 16bhp. With new air filter as well, that was about 2-3bhp
He didn't. He add up the gain from air filter, then added the gain from the exhaust to the highest figure of the remap. Sorry rolling road printout sheet or it didn't happen. Mountune get 140 from these.

I just got one of these. I feel lucky, it was in almost perfect condition and had only 18K of mileage.

I am going to upgrade mine too. Changing the front and rear headlights, adding subwoofer(s) to the sound system and maybe a 6th gear.
