The courts are going to strike down the tax because of this, this response proves that the carbon tax isn't about the health and safety of Canadians, it's about imposing a new tax on Canadians, permanently.

The SCC already upheld the carbon tax. They won't hear anything else on it.

It never was equally applied to every region. Quebec and Atlantic Canada do not pay what everyone else in the country pay. As soon as it started increasing then they started to complain in Atlantic Canada and start cluing in to what the rest of the country already knew. The gov takes more than they give back, anyone that thought differently probably voted Liberal.

As Canadians we live in a cold climate, making home heating essential, there shouldnt be any kind of tax on it, hidden or otherwise
same for gas to drive to work and diesel which fuels the workforce.
we also grow, manufacture, store, clean and transport FOOD using chiefly fossil fuels....should the FOOD chain's energy source be taxed?

I’m not extremely familiar with the situation, but from what I understand, there are a few issues:
- heating oil has increased dramatically in price, the carbon tax not only adds to the pain but increases it
- it applies to everyone who’s being taxed
@@marktwain168 sorry, what I meant is from what I can tell, that this break is only being given to ease the pain of the CT on oil. If a province doesn’t collect CT they wouldn’t need the break, anyways, right?

Im in the process of switching my natural gas furnace to oil burning.
Hopefully i'll increase emissions. Get a new heat pump for free and get a pass on the carbon tax! Thanks liberal ndp government.

If a fundamental justification for MAID is to relieve intractable suffering, then the procedure should be prioritized for Turdeau before anyone else. Millions of lives will be relieved of unnecessary and prolonged suffering if just he himself undergoes the procedure.

I'm down for trying to undo what we did to the planet but if the rest of the world isn't then put it on hold for now. I know Canadians have benefitted from going abroad and messing up other countries and then leave but at this point any effort after the fact isn't worth the effort.
