I despise the Liberals/NDP, but I’m glad they’re staying out of this. This isn’t on the workers, this isn’t on the Liberals, this is on the greed and incompetence of CN and CP leadership.
Remember when Trudeau claimed that risks to the Canadian economy was enough to invoke the emergency act to break up a protest he didn't like? Safe to assume that Trudeau likes this protest, judging from his past actions.

my job is not unionized.. I dont get paid $100,000 plus .. I get 2 to 3 % raise annually. My boss says raise has nothing to do with inflation. Yet i go to job everyday. I dont go on strike.

@@riley5130 There is more than one union at the railways, so it seems one or the other is always threatening a strike as all their contracts don't end the same time. This time its conductors and engineers. Next time it will be mechanics or yard workers or drayage drivers...

Contracts are usually around 3 years but you wouldn't understand that.

They do every time a contract finishes. They always push it to the limit for maximum leverage. Sometimes settle in the last minute
