I don’t know how we do it. All week I’ve been trying to cope with the chronic pain I experience as a result of neuromyelitis optica NMOSD. It’s always so difficult to determine whether the chronic pain is just par for the course, or if you’re teetering on the edge of a relapse. The unpredictable nature of this illness makes living with an NMOSD a challenge. But we carry on. Today I finally reached out to my neurologist office and unfortunately spent almost 30 minutes on a call in order to simply leave a message for him. This is exhausting. I am so grateful to God that I had the energy to navigate the healthcare system this morning, but I pray for those who don’t. I’m sharing my experience in my stories so feel free to check it out.
